Reunion of Momma and Puppies at the Marin Humane Society

- Two frightened dogs were surrendered to the Marin Humane Society. Upon examining the female, we learned she recently had puppies. After some detective work and a lot of convincing, our team was able to get the person who surrendered the dogs to also surrender the puppies, as they still needed their mama and were not in a safe situation.
We captured the moment when sad and scared mom got to see her puppies again. Tears of joy all around at this happy reunion.

When I worked at our local humane society, a lady came in and surrendered her dog. About 4 hours later the dog started having puppies. The shelter manager said she wouldn't be able to raise them in a shelter environment and to put them all to sleep. I just couldn't do it, so I adopted all 7 of them, moma and babies. I keep them at home with me for 8 weeks and then found them all good homes and mama too. They all went to close friends and relatives so I got to keep an eye on them on a weekly basis.
That is sad she wanted to kill the puppies. Was it a Kill Shelter or a no kill shelter? Glad you adopted them and took them away from that humane society.

She's so sweet and beautiful. I'd love to adopt a little sweetheart like her! The more I'm exposed to humans, the less I like them. These former owners are the dregs of humanity.

Happy reunion! Her tail started wagging as soon as she realized her puppies were there. Hope all these beautiful dogs find loving homes.

Lovely video but it made me a little sad when she kept looking for the 5th pup. At least she got most of her babies back.

Apparently per other sources, she's missing one, which sucks. She's very aware of it too! She couldn't fully enjoy the moment !

Once she saw her puppies she went from nervous and scared to very happy real quick. So cute.

I really really hope you got all of her puppies back, seems like she is looking for more. When my dog had puppies and we had to remove one of them she definitely noticed and couldn't relax until the missing puppy was back.
The mommy dog is so heartbreaking to see. Thank you for giving her back her reason to be happy. I pray that humans who think nothing of animals' having feelings too come around to more sensitivity and compassion. God bless her saviours.
People don't think animals are capable of feelings like this. I hope this video gets to some of those people and changes their minds. Animals have very real and valid feelings just like humans.

Domesticated animals deserve much more then average human being as they cannot defend against filth that calling themselves human. One who purposely brings pain a anguish to the animal that trusted him MUST be punished severely and with out any mercy.

I hope they have been kept together in one forever home and not separated again. Whenever I have rescued strays I kept families intact.

Thanks for all you are doing for these precious creatures. After watching this video a couple of times, I had the feeling that these were not all of her puppies. Mother keeps looking for them in the thing there were brought in. One or more may have died before she left--or were in such bad condition that the people were ashamed to let the people see them? What do you think? She seems to still be looking for more puppies at the end of the video.

Great video. From her interest in the cage, I suspect not all of the puppies were retrieved. I hope I'm wrong. Nonetheless, mom seems much relieved and so very happy!

That was awesome! I'm so glad the people saw the need of the puppies AND momma had of each other. I hope you don't give the puppies back to those people. If they surrendered the mom without the puppies they shouldn't be dog owners.

This is one of the cutest and sweetest videos I have saw in a very long time. I love how the momma seamed sad and scared but once she saw her puppies she come out and was so happy. it almost brought a tear to my eye!
