- Casey's reaction to Rebecca returning home after 2 years... which in fairness is 14 years in dog years.
Rebecca was living and working in Slovenia, and she didn't return home to Murrysville, PA last year, because her whole family (except Casey) came to Bled for her wedding.
Sidenote:
The schnauzer, Casey, was taken to the vet a few times. The vet saw the video, and everything is fine with her. No worries!

In the midst of a pandemic,
earthquakes, amongst slings and arrows -
a furry 4-legged friend you may know
says farewell adding to our sorrows.
Casey, a legend, was a TH-cam viral video star.
Her squeals of overwhelming joy spread smiles near and far.
Ignorant to her stardom,
she lived a beautiful suburban life -
with a big backyard
and plenty of squirrels and wildlife.
Frisbees and sticks were her favorite tricks.
She gave the best greetings with piddles and licks.
A dog with a duty alerting us of every guy -
She was Paw Patrol before Marshall and Skye.
“Let’s get the mail.” had her at the door.
Tail started wagging hearing the garage door.
Ears perked with every clink of the treat jar.
Loved wind in her whiskers by boat or car.
Danced on her toenails to hear the freezer open.
Loved chasing ice cubes and other things frozen.
DQ drive-thru for a vanilla cone -
topped not with a cherry, but a milk bone.
Braunschweiger was her favorite treat,
but of course - being a German breed.
At the sound of the LazyBoy recline
she ran and leapt for some cuddle time.
Though she never visited me a across the sea,
she was well-traveled from Ohio to DC.
In college she was
a fan at my soccer games,
but Skyping with your dog
isn’t quite the same.
If only I could reach through the computer screen,
and give her one last snuggle for bday 15.
A lucky gal born on St. Patty’s Day,
and passed on Slovenian Mother’s Day.
I knew this day would come,
but I didn’t know it’d be so hard -
a memory on TH-cam
and a grave in the backyard.
She kept my parents company
for a decade and a half -
a part of family forever
weddings, holidays, tears and laughs.
Paw prints in our hearts,
always by our side,
fiercely loyal through thick and thin,
a chapter in our life.

Not loving that dog back for the love it showed would be a crime. Sure the family missed the girl and she missed them, but I would think that the girl should keep the dog by her side, in her arms or on her lap for a few hours.
The love and loyalty a dog shows puts people to shame quite often.
I know! But people still do such horrible things to animals even when it's animals who love the most. I don't think people understand the level at which animals love their owners.

Probably felt like 6-8 years for the dog and then without warning she was back. I can sympathize with his excitement overload.

Hey, I just want to say Jesus loves you and it's so much more than you can ever imagine. He loves you so much with everything and wants a relationship with you. We go through a lot and sometimes it feels like we are alone in that moment,in the pain or sorrow but we aren't alone. Even though you may blame God for the bad things that have happened in life and give up on him, God hasn't given up on you. Or what you identify as -lgbtq....if you think God doesn't love you because you are lesbian, gay or because you are in a different religion that's a lie. Voku nope. There are several cases of dogs loving their owners, even when they are mistreated. Even when their owners are distant and cruel, their dogs will never stop loving them. If the dog, however, attacks an abusive owner - that's because it had no choice but to protect it. Dogs are unconditionally loving also to strangers - who haven't even given them anything.
