      Monica, I read that it can cause constipation. Was this true in your experience? I have had bad issues with constipation in the past but doing better now, but I don't want to try anything that may help my blood sugar issues but cause me to be constipated. Can you share your experience with me please. Thanks for your comment.

    I see a decrease in hunger. I’m able easily to fast for 16-18 hours. Before berberine it was a struggle, now will power, of which I’m in short supply, doesn’t have to be used.

      I think medical professionals ascribe the appetite suppressive impact of Berberine to the placebo effect. I know it has quelled a raging hunger that I feel post swim workout- - (along w/giving me potty trots). It does NOT enhance my athletic performance but it does help me get into a deeper restorative sleep cycle. Simply put, I know when I am not using it.

    Metformin is a synthetic based on a natural compound. Many side effects to speak of. Berberine is just as or more effective in my experience and no side effect for me at least. As for cost, it is just a bit more expensive. Assuming a good quality product, I prefer the Berberine and I have switched after 15 years on the Met.

    • @toddrowland2081
      @toddrowland2081 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Have you tried dihydroberberine? It's even better. Almost no side effects. Regular berberine gives me bad stomach ache. Dihydroberberine, I only get mild stomach cramps-but only now and then.

    • @gguerra3
      @gguerra3 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@toddrowland2081 Never even heard of it. So I looked it up, it's hard to find and expensive. Reviews are mixed. I get no side effects from the regular version and it's working even better than the metformin. It brings my numbers down a bit more.

    • @necessaryJustice_4all
      @necessaryJustice_4all 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@gguerra3 Really? Where did you look? It’s on Amzazon, not hard to find-at all. I purchase a bottle of 60 pills for $29. Now, compared to Berberine, it’s a little more pricey, but it’s worth the cost for me. Berberine tears up my stomach, dihydroberberine is easy on my stomach. Works great. If regular berberine works for you, by all means- continue to use it, bc, ultimately you’re getting the intended result. Dihydroberberine has a better absorption rate. 🙏🏻

    I have been taking Berberin, DIM, Milk Thistle and Ashwagardha for a month. I normally have horrible migraine right before and after my periods. Apparently I suffer from hormonal imbalances which make it difficult for me to loose weight no matter what I try and gives me horrible migraines. This month I haven’t had the horrible migraines. I feel it starting but then just dissolves after a short while. Another thing is with the weight. I have lost 2 Kg in the last month without changing anything. I eat junk and do no exercise. Normally my weight would balloon with no stop but I believe these are helping me to maintain my weight and loosing a little. Eating healthy is my wish but very difficult for me. So if these supplements can make me loose 2 kg per Month without changing my eating habits, am good with that

      i think exercise gets everything activated and moving as it should. metabolism would be greatly improved and you would live up to your genetic potential more so than not working out; when taking supplements, its working with your body and its important to also do our part in getting the cells moving.

      @@adamcraig1468 - actually it’s oxidized LDL which causes inflammation, the result of metabolic syndrome, or too many carbs. The carbs trigger insulin which tries to store carbs as fat until there’s no more room in the cells. LDL is then turned loose into the blood stream as free radicals, becomes oxidized, or rusts, and can lead to an eruption in the endothelium (wall of the artery) resulting in occlusion. So in this respect you’re correct if you say oxidized LDL causes heart attacks. But overall LDL (non-oxidized low density lipoprotein) is very low in most patients who experience myocardial infarctions, or heart attacks.

This being said a diarrhea is really not suppose to happen. It could be with you take with it at the same period of time or dosage.
