You are so right about the quick change. Very frustrating. Not only that, too many shortages, especially new employees, THEY get fired.

Yep. So hard to catch (& prove in action). Training them on day 1 was so important.

Dealt with this tonight. Manager noticed a couple that lp has warned us about. They came in and split right up (big clue) then they tried to get me to walk away from the door and got very angry when i called another associate over to help her and kept my position. She walked away and went to another new lady associate and started the quick change and asked us if we could open the register manually (now im thinking robbery) paged for management and they left. No product and no extra money. Lp notified right after

Another great video! Very interesting! Glad there are LPs out there to help catch those who are scammers!! Appreciate you sharing your experiences and teaching others. Also like that you share the perspective of how not to be scammed by people too! Love your stories!

Thankfully I'm doing hotel security right now and we don't accept cash

Thankfully indeed. We’ve put cameras in a few hotels because employees were stealing cash.

I got transferred with Woolworth in 1984 from Las Vegas to downtown Seattle, Voluntarily, because I worked with the assistant manager in las vegas for years and he asked me to come up and help. First day on the job, the Manager held an early "ALL Hands" meeting to introduce me. Well that never happened to me before lol, But Damn, him and the assistant manager talked me up big time. Brought in special agent from Las Vegas, alll that. Good meeting, lots of long term employees. Told them what I was there for and what I could do for them, and with their help, we could stop this. Day two, standing at an Internal register (which I hated) chit chatting with one of the more long term employee, at a register, and here comes a quick change guy, started with 20.00 bill and candy bar.. Had already scammed 5.00 with he need some ones for the bus ride, and five for the ferry. asked for five ones and a 5 for the ferry and gave here a 5.00 bill. I reached over and slammed the register shut, and callled for a register countdown. He ran, knew he was busted. we had another all hands early meeting the next week, The employee agreed to letting all of her coworkers know she had been scammed. I guess I was in with the employees from that point on. I loved working with them, they knew I would do anything for them. Quite a few fights, a few knives pulled and shots fired twice in one year, before I left for a new job with the Govt. they gave me Two Hell of going away parties, One involving a stripper, where they set me up with false stop claim, by another employee, and she was in my office.

Lol. & just like that I know we could be friends. That’s what I love about the LP/AP brotherhood/sisterhood, I relate so much to everything you just said.
