Great to have you back Ed. As camera operator myself, your camera operator does an excellent job of not only showing us what your doing but keeping it nicely in sharp focus. Well done that person 👍👍
The headlight issue, bl00dy terrifying. Discovered it on my own '65 Mustang Fastback, driving home, very dark night, in the NZ countryside, windy corners, 20 odd seconds after switching to high beam. Front disc brake upgrade proved it's worth. Thank you Edd for the practical solution, it's greatly appreciated.
My mate and me used to religiously watch you on wheeler dealers on a Sunday , back to back episodes, Sunday dinner , and a few beers , all I can say is amen for you tube to keep the spirit alive, thank you Ed I think some people over look just how talented and knowledgeable you really are, we know. Keep up the fantastic uploads 😃

Thanks Edd, for these great videos. Always top notch camera work and editing. Also a very comprehensive DIY for upgrading the 66 Mustang. Here in California, we appreciate your interest and love for the classic American cars.

Hello Ed, greetings from Turkey, love. I am watching your work with interest as a colleague. I wish you continued success. Believe me, repairs and renovations would be nothing without you.
Edd has been my favorite automotive and TV/TH-cam person to watch for so many years now. Thank you so much for all the hours of entertainment and inspiration!
Nice Mustang I used to have a 65/66 and a 66 Bronco🎉. Small block 289 302 Motors are the best as long as you maintenance them they last forever. I used to have a friend who blueprinted and balanced the motors metered the heads everything. Spectacular running small blocks. They ran so quiet so powerfull it was incredible🎉 I really enjoyed it thanks for the ride have a great day🎉
It's great to see all the new tech being used to make this classic car work better, but without making it a resto-mod. It's a beautiful car. Can't wait to see what you're going to do to it next.
Ed, what a way to start a Sunday. Or any day. Or night. Having lost the love for my MX5 Rocketeer build, you are inspiring me to get out there and make a mess. Thanks!
Nice job Edd, I love finding things wrong with my vehicles so that they can be fixed, and good looking out on those upgrades, that little Mustang is now more efficient and reliable....Javi G.
Another fantastic tutorial Edd. Love the way you show the stuff that no one else does, like the PTFE tape on the brass fittings. Details matter and thanks for sharing them. The Hydraulic cable end crimper is a cool piece of kit by the way.
Edd the China, for me that is the BEST video I have seen you make over recent years thank you!!!!! I would reduce the background music personally but the content is FANTASTIC thanks. MORE of course please. Simon
Top tip for when using cable ties. Buy some non beveled side cutter snips for cutting off the excess tie once it is tightened. The cut will be flush with the face of the tie retaining lug, thereby removing the protruding chisel edge which will rip your flesh apart when you next stick your hand into the engine bay.
Fan sensor in the lower radiator hose is also an option . You want to trigger the fan after the radiator has had a chance to cool the fluid. A lot of factory sensors can be found in the lower radiator tank.
Hi Edd, I've been following you since the first Wheeler Dealers show. I've been a senior automotive mechanic since 1987, and you've taught me more tricks and procedures of our profession than I did in all my training at the institute where I studied. In addition to your obvious mastery, it's your ability to communicate and your friendliness that makes your videos extremely useful and entertaining for everyone. Can you post the wiring diagram for the light relay? I have a '73 Maverick, the electrical system is identical to the Mustang and I want to make that adaptation because it's great. Thank you very much for everything and keep going, we all support you.
Ok top tip.. DO NOT USE WATER FROM THE TAP . When mixing coolant. The preferred water source is distilled water. This will ensure that the water is void of any suspened minerals that over time can cause internal corrosion or coagulation of the enigin block and water passages.
Was just thinking the same where Paul , And thank God Mike B is not there , Edd keep up the good work ...... And its a pleasure to watch you work on cars , regards Pat from Ireland
My first car was a "68 Fairlane with that 289 engine. What a pleasure to really learn how to drive with that wonderful sound under the hood. BTW, the Fairlane and Mustang shared the same chassis and a lot of DNA.
Shout out to whoever did the "Art of Noise" tribute. I had a 67 Mustang in high school. I replaced the timing chain in auto shop class. The cowl leaked so bad I took my shoes off when driving in the rain. 😊😊
Always liked your style of Machanic explanation way back from Wheeler Dealer days……(still the best ones) you explain everything although can’t do it always nice to know how it’s done and works great to see you back more content please. Maybe some on everyday cars
And in this video, Ed will show us how to introduce metal particles into an automatic gearbox. Seriously, squash the line flat to close it off before cutting.
0:05 - Ohh, no, the flash-texts are back... For those who don't want to mess with pausing at the right moment, YT has shortcuts to step forward and back frame by frame.
A silly little trick I like to do to keep double-flare fittings from rusting to the tube is to pull back the fitting, lube up the tube with some anti-seize paste, then push the fitting back over the tube. If you ever have to go back in a year or more later, the fitting will turn nicely without twisting the tube with it. I've had great luck doing this with brake lines as well.
You are right, many American V8 run a ballast resister which is switched out during cranking but either way the coil on the relay will operate with the lower voltage so as long as the fused 12v feed is from the battery the fan will be working at full power.
Yes excellent upgrade is using modern relays for the headlights so the headlight switch only turns on the headlight relay ,which turns on the headlights. One thing however is the headlight wiring is 18 guage on most older American cars such as this mustang , and is undersized for the upgraded headlamps . I maybe posting a comment too soon as Edd likely is already planning to update the harness !!
Should add a diode to the relay trigger wire, so that EITHER the thermistor OR the AC can activate the fan. The AC performance will suffer without airflow through the condenser at low speed.
Water? Never put water from the tap in your engine, it contains lime, and other stuff you do not want in your cooling system. Always use distilled water, or permanent cooling fluid.
I'm glad you're back Edd. Missed ya, mate!

The issue with solenoid hook up its probably 6 volt this terminal is to feed 12 volt when cranking unless you have modified the wiring

A lot of California-related songs in this video and in the earlier one, nice.
