At about 15minutes in because of the weeds/overgrown grass they were manually sanding, or other abrasive gritting one track, For us from the world of operations of non Soviet Technology it is a case of winding back the clock, or digging out the old theory books. They guy putting together these videos does a great job, but occasionally forgets a lot of us modern tech people just never had to deal with this. We also forget that stuff like their wood fired steamer is truly historic, and surprisingly quite "CLEAN AND GREEN." !! I wish I had one, It would also be interesting to see how clean this old tech soviet diesel could be on a bio/vegetable oil brew .

Neat video! At @2:11 was that semaphore originally intended for narrow gauge railway, or was it moved from a standard gauge railway? Seems quite tall compared to other railroad items at Lavassaare. Beginning at @3:55 are those new replacement ties (sleepers) to the right of the track?
Это ЭСУ, электростанция узкоколейная. Используется как источник энергии на труднодоступных участках и в качестве аварийного источника питания в чрезвычайных ситуациях. Там у них ещё и санитарная мотодрезина есть.
