    I swear the ads have gotten even worse. They're interrupting sentences not even two minutes in

    Why didn't they reverse engineer the first slavery ships instead of destroying them?

    • @bluefmi
      @bluefmi 9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      even if there is no interesting tech aboard, those are still ships made with hard labor. free ships they can just retrofit and add to their fleet
      this is just cutting the nose to spite the now non existing face (there were no surviving slavers that would watch from far away, just prisoners)

    • @black1917
      @black1917 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      They can reverse engineer the debris, that’s this usually works. Having an intact ship would make it go faster, but this sends a clearer message to anyone else who might the same as the defeated thinking they could do better.

    I like these stories, they're fun to listen to. However, we all know our species lack of capability so if another species is out there and they make contact early enough in our technological development then we're goners. They'll either lob ELE asteroids at us, nuke us from orbit, drop a bioweapon upon us or just land and zap us into pink mists. If however, we get out there and we're the technologically advanced species well our track record suggests we'll be enslaving/deep frying species we encounter as we will rationalize they are to be animals or tasty. Perhaps we will consider them pests to be exterminated like rats or lice.

      The slavers not using the slaves as cannon fodder isn’t very likely.

      From the way the actual astronomy looks in our galactic neighborhood there's either no life, primitive life, life under icefields in asteroids or if there is any intelligent life it is behind us, possibly way behind us in developement. So we have nothing to fear unless you believe Tim Burchett's House subcomittee and the whistleblowers who say aliens exist.Something of an quandry in real terms for us humans sad to say.

    It'd be nice if humans were like this. But slavery is still happening in places like northern africa and nobody gives a damn. False outrage and redirection always. Not actually solving what claiming to be bothered by.

      It would b nice if the countries involved in slavery would do something about it, instead of expecting everyone else to do it 4 them. N countries working with them r just as guilty as they r. So that includes the whole world. Example, lithium from Africa, Nike shoes from China. 2 name a few. But u still by those shoes n cell phones. So get rid of all ur stuff made with slave labor r quit complaining 😊😂

      It happens worldwide ... Europe, Americas look and you will find. It usually goes under human trafficking..
      You have to go after them ... it started with the West Africa Squadron 🇬🇧 but theres also still slave labour camps and penal colonies usually run by the greedy the despotic and the religiously inspired insane.

      America is not a country. The United States of America IS a country. Slavery certainly is part of the nation’s past. Past being the operative word. On planet Earth at the present time slavery is alive. 49.6 million live in modern slavery.North Korea, Eritrean,Mauritania,Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Tajikistan,United Arab Emirates,Russia,Afghanistan,and Kuwait are the countries with the highest numbers of slaves.

    • @sarahdabardayan7465

      Our’s were bought from the Dutch and British, we never raided anyone for our slaves, back when we still practiced it. The Dutch bought the African slaves from other African tribes. British kidnapped their slaves from Ireland. We then fought a war to end it. We also brought the Barbary pirates and their Muslim state backers to their knees when they started enslaving our people when we were still a new nation, while everyone else paid large tributes to be left alone.
