Préludes Mélodiques, No. 1 in C Major: Préface - Blas María de Colomer

The first in a set of 24 preludes in all major and minor keys by Spanish composer Blas María de Colomer.
The set of preludes follows the same sequence that Chopin's Op. 28 preludes did, in which a prelude in a major key is followed by a prelude in the relative minor key, in a pattern of ascending fifths. (ex. C major, followed by A minor; then G major followed by E minor, etc.).

Great! How much pedal to use in these?

It’s been a while since I recorded some of these so it’s hard to say. On this prelude there are no pedal indications so I just tried to use it judiciously, and probably no more than depressing the pedal slightly less than half way. I definitely am guilty of pedaling when I’m not supposed to now and then, at least if I think it sounds better that way!😅Thank you so much!
