Cool. Yea that is one downside to the nugget bucket is having the keep filling up buckets of water. Recirculating system makes it easier. I see you are not using their classifiers. I decided to make my own nugget bucket. It turned out pretty good. Made a video on my channel on how I made it. I made 2 ketch containers in mine though. If gold goes out of the 1st one the 2nd one will ketch the gold. I use miners moss in the 1st one too. It helps.
I can't stand there classifiers so I had to use these ones. Give me the video to your nugget bucket I would really like to check it out I should have just made mine to.

Thank's for all the views I hope this helps this was just a way to test the gold rush nugget bucket and it's efficiency on catching gold. I used my grizzly gold trap to catch the gold so I could bring it home to demonstrate what the gold rush nugget bucket can do. I used my sluice cause I hate panning but I still had to pan some of the heavier material and still found flakes of gold cause out here in Colorado you find allot of fine gold and placer gold. Make sure to check out my other videos on test panning. DIY sluice legs and the best back pack for hauling your gear the ILBE rucksack. I'v been prospecting for 8 years and still learning so if you have any tips for me please feel free to drop a hint thank you and happy gold hunting.
I'm not hating on your video. Seems like your learning something new. I am not a gold miner nor have I done much planning. But isn't the idea of the nugget bucket to put raw material through and then pan the concentrates? Seems like your going through too many steps. The two classifyers that come with it would help keep all those little rocks out. We may have not seen it but it looked like 90% of what you put in the bucket went through. Someone correct me if I'm wrong. I plan to play around with this stuff soon.

Gold rush nugget bucket replaces a sluice, not sure why you are doing both.... Just pan it Bro :-)
I wanted to see how the gold rush nugget bucket does. I really didn't want pan to much of the cons I had from the the gold rush nugget bucket that's why I put it through my mini sluice and then panned it. Iv'e been doing it this way for about 2 years and get pretty good results afterwards I know it's a wired way but some people have different ways of doing things and this is one way I do it but thank's for the comment.

Yeah there's allot of fine gold and some decent gold up here if you know were to look this was in the city and not in the mountains. I found this about 2 miles away from me.

ive seen the bucket used with a bluebowl. Ive seen it used with a fossicker pan/le trap sluice bottom line is nothing is a perfect mouse trap

@@303prospecting7 in the middle of moving and transmission blew so I'm trying to get it back on the road and dont know shit about transmissions. Its been a nightmare, as soon as I get it finished and in my 5th wheel for the summer I'll hit you up and go treasure hunting some gold!

I would have added a multi-pattern shower spray head to the pvc turndown and Mounted a medium DC motor to the side of the bucket with an offset counter weight on the shaft to make the system have it's own vibration system that way all you are having to do is drop in your concentrates and let water and vibration do the rest. I think I would have drilled the hole for the oil pan close to the top instead of the bottom so that the water would still drain to recirculate but the pan itself would catch anything too heavy to escape. I think this would be a descent setup with a few more mods. Lord knows anyone trying to make any kind of money doing this needs to be able to make it so there are less steps for the operator. Not trying to be a smartalec, just trying to share some ideas. And if you are trying to make a fairly portable unit you might want to check out the Harbor Freight solar panel kit to keep your batteries charged. Just some ideas for you.

Some people really can't afford a dredge, and have to make due with what they can.
I do small scale stuff cause I hate caring and haling allot of stuff around plus I like to experiment with cretin sluice boxes and what every comes out on the market. I like to do this type of prospecting cause it helps me keep what ever sanity I have left LOL and it also brings my blood pressure down. This to me is more of a hobby something that I love doing and have fun doing it so really I don't need a huge dredge or anything like that.
Thanks David when your on a budget it does get a little hard to afford huge items like that plus I do this for fun not for profit it's a hobby to me.
Just curious the flow rate on a nugget bucket does not change the funnel is the fixed setting so changing the flow rate above the funnel does nothing all u need to do is keep the funnel charged and it will do the rest nice setup u have rt there. i can see using a spray bar just for cycling the water faster it just doesnt change the capture rate. That is totaly in the funnels realm i love my nugget bucket and have caught 100 mesh gold with it. I figure it does 95 to 98% in that range very useful for testing and very portable. I love the minors moss idea i use 5 or 6 small marbles.

I've heard of people finding stuff in Ralston creek, next to memorial park in arvada. Not sure if people are actually allowed to be there, or if you'd get in trouble panning there though. Can you shed any light on this?
I think once you enter weatridge you can get in allot of trouble. I know where your talking about and I'm sure you can find allot more down stream. One more idea for you is to get one of those clamp on lights and use the clamp setup to make an adjustable holder for your pvc pipe that can be clamped on bucket.

Not bad for gold in Denver. How much material can you put in the nugget bucket without overfilling the cup in the bottom? Seems like a lot is washed away, taking more gold from you.
Yeah I've noticed it when Im out and about using the gold rush nugget bucket. I've never seen gold run out or washed out seems to work like it should I use this only to sample rivers or places with little water.

The instructions for the nugget bucket say youre suppose to put a small handfull of rocks in the bottom of that clear plastic bucket that goes in the bottom so your gold has places to hide and get stuck instead of washing out..

Putting either a couple rocks in the bottom or miner's moss will keep the gold from washing out of the cup. The whole idea of how the Nugget Bucket works is that the heaviest stuff displaces the lighter stuff. As long as there is plenty of water added, the sands, being lighter, will keep floating on top, and be washed away. The gold, being the heaviest, will gravitate to the bottom, and stay in the bowl. Using less water could make gold float out, because the stuff in the bowl doesn't get fluidized.

ACU is an awesome color when your hiding in rocky areas but not good for the forest.
303 Prospecting I am 11B and was never in an environment where it blended in well. Rocks aren’t even that color. 😂 Maybe in a Walmart parking lot you’d be camouflage. Try atacs or something lol
Pitch on your sluice is to low.
Thank's for the info I did allot of tweaking with the sluice and it works well this way for fine gold. But I pitch it up a little.
