I went to high school with the guy who had Cerebral Palsy deadlifting in the beginning… his name is Miles Taylor and he’s genuinely one of the sweetest human beings who has overcome some serious trauma in his life and I couldn’t be more proud of him… he was always with our athletic trainer and all the coaches in our school and him and I were pretty close. One day he came to school without his soccer ball that he normally had with him and kicked around every day and he told me it was flat and wouldn’t hold air any more. So the next day I came in and gave him a soccer ball I had in my garage and literally every time I saw him after that I got a hug from Miles. I tell you, I come from a broken home so some days the depression and existential dread would really be overwhelming me and that hug from Miles would turn my entire day around…
I love you Miles, graduated 10 years ago and I still haven’t forgotten the bond we shared

You can't learn to get up if you never fell, my dude. It is okay to feel down. It is okay to be beaten down by life's tribulations. Sometimes you have no choice. Sometimes it's necessary. But you always have to give your best to get up, raise your head proudly, and keep going. I've been there. I know how it feels. I've had troubled childhood in a dysfunctional family, full of violence, alcoholism, poverty, and humiliation. Tough time at school, difficulties to connect with my peers. Bullying. In my teens, realizing I'm entering adulthood with no penny in my pocket and questionable perspectives. But I clawed my way out of it. I know everybody have it in them. I know that. But you can't give up. You need to change things, work on yourself. It won't be easy. It will be difficult mentally, and physically. But on your way out of your troubles you will emerge a changed man. Strong, confident, commanding respect. Set clear priorities in life. Realize that there are no roadblocks, just obstacles to overcome. Mountains to conquer.
First step to solving a problem is admitting there is a problem. You are already on the right path, even if you don't realize it. Don't stop.

I really like your first line there and I think it is such a crucial thing to know. I thought of myself as to weak my whole life growing up and I hated myself for it. I told myself you are not allowed to be weak and that meant every time I wasn't good enough, I actually beat myself. Things like not winning in the video games I played, not being as strong as my brother in the gym or in sports, not being a good enough follower of God, not having good enough grades, and more... I would pound the top of my head repeatedly as hard as I could (usually only when know one else could see) until I was seeing stars. I couldn't take my failure because it was weak, but that meant I never was allowed to start building cause I had to be good enough already.
In reality I see how it is fragile masculinity to think like that, but I now I know I am weak at times and strong at others and I strive to continue growing in everything that I do. Seeing progress has brought me so much life and hope for becoming a strong man I can be proud of. Still working on forgiving the part of myself that did the beating I haven't really stepped into that darkness enough. I need to bring that part of me back into the fold, because I do believe that it can become a force for good if I come to understand it.

@@TheBigJord I was not going to comment anything, because unbeknownst to most if not all viewers and especially all commenters here, maybe even to the creator themselves, this whole trend of Zyzz themed videos is flawed, with many fatal flaws and mistakes in the entire ideological thinking behind it (conflating masculinity with strength, treating superficial interpretations or conceptions of strength as an inherrent ethical value of someone's morals and judgment of a person, ect). However, I beleive you deserve to know that you have been heard by at least one person who cared enough to let you know, and I hope you get along alright and don't hurt yourself anymore. @@TheBigJord and yes, it was not even just a fragile masculinity issue. It was a toxic masculinity issue. That's what people talk about when they say that word (the honest ones who do their research), and you have felt it and experienced it firsthand. So remember that when somebody tells you that toxic masculinity doesn't exist or is some new buzzword. It's a real problem, and it means when men are pressured to hide or suppress their "weakness" which doesn't even mean anything most of the time if you actually think about it from the outside, or it could be just their emotions or differences that might make you look weak in one way, but you were just not playing what you're best at. Not that you even need to be the best at anything.

@@mihailmilev9909 Thank you for your reply. Thank you for caring enough about my pain to say these things. I agree with you a lot and definitely think I was caught in a form of toxic masculinity. I believe it does exist, but just not in the way that it is defined by society in a larger way. The societal definition of toxic masculinity serves femininity. It was created in a frame work that is all about how women see men as toxic, but what I would put to Men out there is that we each need to define toxic masculinity in our own ways. For me toxic masculinity usually takes the form of huge egos. People that have to prove they are alpha are toxic as hell, because staring another dude down or looking bigger than an other dude doesn't make you more alpha. Only the actions and the way that you live your life can convey whether or not you are worthy of being a leader. True men in my opinion build up their fellow man. That doesn't mean always encouraging every action a guy takes (tough love is a real thing), but it means truly desiring the best for your fellow man. True Masculinity in my opinion is about improving the lives of everyone even people we fear or are angered by. True masculinity is someone who recognizes that tearing others down is a fruitless waste of time but building each other up creates a world of potential that could reach out into infinity. I could write whole books about this idea and these are just the beginnings of my thoughts around this, so sorry for ranting haha. Thank you for your response all the same!

Things like staying healthy is now toxic apparently. This invigorated me beyond words. Positive images of what men have done in spite of the challenges they faced. Real, REAL role models. People who inspire and encourage. I feel ready to take on the world now. Thank you
    Edit:
Based off some comments I wanna make it clear I’m not belittling anyone for their life choices. If a male feels more feminine then masculine that’s okay, if someone prefers being overweight then looking like Zeus that’s okay. However the point I’m trying to make is if it wasn’t for typically masculine men then these privileges some people have to make these choices wouldn’t exist. In this day and age it’s getting increasingly toxic towards good men, who hold more traditional values of providing and protecting their family. No disrespect to anybody at all, including those who wanna call themselves alpha males or whatever

Once again, I suppose its supposed to be a "defiant in the face of adversity" but Himmler had actually been asking people questions all day that day. Before he had asked SS-Obergruppenfuhrer Karl Wolff who served as Himmler’s Chief of Staff, to show him how they executed Jewish people. An act of "defiance" would have been completely ignoring Himmler. Not speaking to him through a fence.
Literally almost every other Nazi in the photo is cheerful and aloof. This was not a "staring match".
Himmler was legitimately probably asking the mans background before being executed.
Himmler, during this same day, went to a field with 100 prisoners he stopped and asked a young boy a few questions.
He asked him "Are you a Jew"?
The man answered, “Yes”. Himmler asked: “Are both your parents Jews?”. Again, he answered “Yes”. Himmler asked, “Do you have any ancestors who were not Jews?”, “No”, the man answered. “Then I can’t help you”, Himmler said.
They then proceeded to shoot everyone in line in the back of the head. Before getting another line of 100 prisoners.
Rumour has it, it was Himmlers first time seeing dead bodies, and he was nearly sick from the brain matter all over his uniform.

Our generation is so cringe. Because we haven't gone through the hardships that our ancestors went through to provide us this life. We must never forget them and strive to provide an even better life to our next generations. Become a better parent. Seek knowledge, power and wisdom, and strive to achieve mental peace. Is this called toxic masculinity? Nah, we are a supportive community who just want to help people become the best version of themselves and achieve their true potential. Sure, there is some andrew Tate red pill cringe content , but not all content is like that. Andrew Tate is narcissistic. We do it for ourselves, to achieve mental peace, not for satisfying our ego.

@@f4rt989 Exactly. The part with the soldiers is cringey af and immediately tells me what kind of a kid the poster is. It's even more hilarious when the video is titled "reject modernism" but shows modern soldiers in modern gear. Why didn't he use videos of 18th century musketeers who die as a pawn for their king? Oh right, these kids pick and choose what they want to resemble "conservatism" without even studying history. Wait till they find out men used makeups and wore heels back then lmao.

Masculinity is a gift, not something we should be ashamed of,and never has been more necessary than now, when it seems like there’s only one way to be a man,and that way is being weak.Don’t give up to all those people who are afraid of us becoming the best possible versions of ourselves, life’s tough sometimes, but so we are, stay strong in body but specially in mind, brothers,we’ve already won in our struggle, the only true defeat is not fighting at all.

Being Masculine Doesnt mean being a sleazy douche. Being masculine means being human, expressing yourself through the ideas you live by. Allowing yourself to be yourself, so let the people express themselves through lifting, though being stoic, let the other express themselves and be human. Being masculine means being human. Thank you for making this video!

Being masculine means pushing yourself to the limits for your goals, and helping others to push to their limits as well.

    • @Zargabaath
      @Zargabaath ปีที่แล้ว

I've found that people confuse masculinity with aggression, a fragile ego, low self-confidence, and low intellect a lot. Tons of "alpha chad" 115lb douchebags think they're "masculine", when they couldn't be further from it, thus spreading the misconception further by refering to themselves as masculine. You don't need to be extremely fit to be masculine. Women can be extremely fit and still be almost entirely feminine.
It's just about expressing male traits. That's it. There's a balance, of course. Men can express certain feminine traits, which can ADD ON to the perception of masculinity. I mean think about it. The vast majority of women are extremely attracted to a man who understands his emotions, and isn't afraid to communicate them. Caring for children is seen by most men as a "feminine" as well, when that couldn't be further from the truth. You're also more likely to become a sleazy cunt if you focus only on being masculine, and not "looking gay" or whatever the fuck idiot kids think these days.
Trying to fit a role purely because YOU THINK society expects it is the anti-thesis of masculinity. It shows an extreme lack in self-confidence, and the inability to introspect.
In the end, just be yourself, and you'll be fine.
