    I just got done replacing the power steering pump in my daughter's 2006 Impala. Excellent video with super easy to follow instructions. I wish all auto repair videos were like this one. Well done! Thank you!

    Hi sir I need help my steering wheel is stiff and make whine noises…on 2003 impala .. but I also notice I lose fluid after 1day .. what to do replace the pump or hose ? Or seal ? … when I open the resovior I notice bubble milky fluid and it’s low .. and it appears to be moving .. .. should I replace the pump or check for leaks ?

      If you're losing fluid that fast check for leaks. The pressure hose likes to leak at a coupling not too far from where it goes into the pump.

    That's for adding the bleeding procedure because people just assume that everyone knows

    Mine isn’t making noise it’s just not circulating and this has happened to 3 pumps now. Also replaced the rack any ideas? Turns easier right than left for some reason. I flushed it and everything so I don’t get what I did wrong or what is wrong

      If it isn't circulating you likely have a leak in one of your hoses, most likely the pressure hose.

    Just curious why didn’t you remove the pressure lines before you unbolted and took it off. Feel like it would’ve been easier but idk. Thank you for this!

      You can't get to the pressure line without taking the pump off first.

    Never saw him put the o-ring on the high pressure line to the pump.

    It bothers me that you worked on this the entire time with the oil fill cap just off letting anything and everything get in the engine. Not a major issue it just bothers me to death 😂

    • @minutemaintenance7385
      @minutemaintenance7385  ปีที่แล้ว

      I didn't even notice that. I usually put it back. When I worked at a dealership they told me to take the cap off first and set it by the keys. That way you never forget to put it back on.
