Wow man, those are beautiful boots for sure! Those are a kind of pair that if I was in a store that had my size, nobody is gonna stop me from buying them haha
A couple decades ago and a half, i used to work a few feet south of I-90, in Livingston MT at a western store that carried Lucchese boots. They were way out of my minimum wage league, so i never tried them on, but locals came in and bought them for special occasions, snowbirds, too
I hear that. Lucchese is a more expensive brand. Mostly because of the name. so there are other boots you can get for the same quality at a cheaper price
love the video man wish i had a boot store like that near me. Theres 2 boot barns and a work world but i find a lot of twisted x ariat cody james etc. closest i can get to a traditional boot leather in and out no cushion is a boot with soft leather non removable insoles
Wow, that's an awesome looking elephant hide! Love the color patina. Oh yeah JC, that pair of reverse cut Ostrich legs are very nice. I've got to call & see if they might have a pair of those Old Gringo lizards. I've had them in my mind since the video review you made awhile back. 👍
" Hi Jeremiah, with wear and even dust, these boots will look great in this model and this shape! I have two pairs of elephant leather but yes it is very resistant (I tested on long walks , bitumen and paths and wood) but should be compared with ostrich leather known for its resistance! Beautiful cowboy boots Jeremy ! "
Awesome boot and not bad price for elephant. I have a pair of Black Jack and Capitan elephant boots and love them... especially the Black Jack. Just curious, what leather qould be tougher then elephant?
I'd recommend whatever you feel the best in. My first exotic boot I waited until I had a spiritual experience. They ended up being Boulet Caiman boots. Many others love Full quill ostrich, others snakeskin, others lizard, others pirarucu. An exotic will most likely be a dress boot or casual boot so it's really completely up to you. I will say that stingray is probably NOT the best option for a first exotic because it is so stiff and if you get even slightly the wrong size you'll probably be disappointed in them.
Elephants are endangered. There are places in Africa where they work hard on rebuilding the species and occasionally they cull the herd so the health of all the elephants are as good as possible and so they can grow faster. This is the only way the leather is obtained for products worldwide
Nice boots, have seen them at the Lucchese shop. Probably would have bought them if I had seen them before I bought my Rios elephant. Didn't think my wife would be able to stand another pair of elephant within a couple of weeks LOL. JC have you checked out Republic boots out of Houston, the off the shelf line they do are great. Wearing mine now.
@@JeremiahCraig I have heard you talk about finding your correct size. If you are ever in Fort Worth and haven't been to(heard of/tried) Rod Patrick boots, might want to check them out. Be glad to show ya around town if ya ever get here.
My question on these is, since the lemonwood pegs come through the insole, do they ever back out to where they might stab into your foot? Or from moisture do they swell and stay in place?
Never heard of 7 toe. I notice that square toes look different from boot to boot.where would I look online to get detailed information about stuff like that?
100%! Hippo is often split and sueded because it's so scarred up which will weaken the leather by default. Alligator is up there in great quality leather but for long term durability elephant is better imo
On my boost have those ins insoles the real way to do them no it just should have foam inserts that you could remove do they adjust for the sizing then… I will not buy exotic hides if they can do that with Kauai with that type of pattern that’ll be nice and for the shaft shoes and I love those tadpoles, I mean tab pulls, lol 😂
Nice. Do you know if those are Asian or African elephant? I have a pair of Lucchese 2000s in elephant skin, had them about 20 years. They're awesome and seemingly indestrucible. Seven toe, lighter color, almost a pale yellowish beige. Not sure what kind of elephant skin. Anyway, thanks for the vids.
That’s a really nice pair of boots. Very pricey however, I am conflicted about the use of elephant to make boots. I am hoping that the elephant hide used, was because the elephant died from natural causes.
Natural causes, culled for health reasons, or rogue elephant. There's a lot of paperwork involved in elephant. If you get elephant from a reputable bootmaker it's all above board, at least in the US.
I highly doubt all elephant boot hides are from elephants that died from "natural" causes. I am sure that is what is said but reality is most likely a different story. I will pass on elephant boots and stick to a farmed leather.
I love elephants. I would be afraid that someone is killing the elephants for their skins, rather than using the skin of an elephant that died naturally. I would pass on elephant boots for that reason. They are beautiful though.
Those elephant boots look mighty fine. Awesome color and that 7 toe shape finishes them off nicely. Fantastic looking store, as well! 👍
I haven't seen an authentic pair of elephant boots that don't look awesome!
Wow man, those are beautiful boots for sure! Those are a kind of pair that if I was in a store that had my size, nobody is gonna stop me from buying them haha
Just a fantastic looking pair of boots! I have had this pair in the past and its an amazing boot. Great choice for a quick impression.
you got that right, i second that great choice for quick impression video!

You should totally try to see if they have a pair of those Old Gringos! They are very nice
@@JeremiahCraig I called Wall Drug, and they didn't have anything in Lucchese, or Old Gringo in my size. Bummer bro! Some day they'll come around. 👍
Channel is doing good. Beautiful boots.y’all have fun.
great content as always. putting the miles in with the Hondo crew, I love it !!!
Thanks Chris!
Great looking pair of boots, right there

Lucchese coming through with the absolute 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Hell yeah!
At those prices you can fly to El Paso and have an old Mexican craft you a pair of boots out of cartel foreskin.

Stingray I believe💪
Prolly get this question a lot but what exotic boot skin would u recommend to someone just getting into the boot life? Thank you

Can you review Thursday cowboy boots that just released would like to see a video on them!!
Yes I ordered a pair this morning

Really. I thought elephant was an endangered species. Love the boots.

Awesome Boots, i would love those in Black
Great video. I'd argue that shark can be tougher than elephant but that's just imo lol

The pegs stay put .mushroom out/flatten.they are good to go. Been doing it for a good while now. First I’ve heard of 7toe .
Lemonwood pegs swell and contract in a similar way leather does so they stay in place well. I've never felt them in the insole
Wow, sweet!
That is my favorite toe shape and I can rarely find it.
What about the wide square boot people
Never heard of 7 toe. I notice that square toes look different from boot to boot.where would I look online to get detailed information about stuff like that?
Right here on my TH-cam channel! I have hundreds of videos about cowboy boots with a bunch of different toe shapes
You think hippo or alligator leather give elephant leather a run for its money?

All from Africa
Is that kind of leather breathable?
I haven't had a problem yet

Callase, hippie
What about hippo skin boots? 🤣
Hippo is split and sueded because it's so scarred naturally
