  • In this video Im paint a few part for the 1971 Bronco build. Prepping the finder flairs, hood and grill then painting them with House Of Kolor Klock Werk Orange. Then giving them back to Phill to finish the assumably. Enjoy

Looks awesome. How hard did you find it to spray that base with that pearl 'Metajuls' in it? Also, how much base and clear should I be expecting to use on my bronco if I do that same amount of paint:raptor liner that you did? House of Colors has this 'Re-Entry Red' colour that looks pretty cool with that same 'Metajuls' pearl or flake in it. I presume red would take more material to cover?

Thanks. I have been painting for over 20 years so wasn't to bad. Easier than a light silver or candy. The peal is in the base coat and there is a lot of it. So all I was worried about was tiger striping? Although I could not strain the base the perl was to big. So be sure to watch out for that. Iv used 5 quarts of base so far. It's pretty transparent. I found a primer sealer that was tentable and tented as close the base color. For 2 reasons, #1 to save on the base so im not trying to change the color. #2 to help with any sand scratches I missed. im about a gallon of clear. its a high end hi solid clear. it mixes 2-1-1 ish so it is 1 gallon and 1/2 or just a little more mixed. and 1 Raptor kit.
Im not sure on the red. But usually reds have more pigment in it so it should cover better. orange and yellow are usually transparent. But I not sure I have not used that red.

@@redfabkustomz I did research some vids today & they said that if you hold your gun closer the pearl lays flatter and you avoid orange peel. I just can’t see how you do that and not get tiger stripes?
