- The legendary Brigham Dickinson, president and founder of Power Selling Pros and faculty member of EGIA Contractor University, joins Cracking the Code this week to talk sales and CSR closing rates.
Specifically, Brigham breaks down how to increase revenue by increasing service agreements -- by converting more of the calls that are already coming in. That means more revenue without increasing marketing spending.
I know this is old, but I'd like to say something I learned a long time ago. People like to talk about themselves. Right? If you say I thru my back out, only a few will say, I'm sorry. How did it happen, or are you ok. Most will say, Oh that happened to me once. I was doing this or that and it happened. So anytime I go to a customers home, I look around before getting to the door. At the cars or the landscape, and when they answer the door, I comment on that. Love that car, or your landscaping looks amazing. After I introduce myself of course. Or beautiful house. love the tile or color of the paint. Anything to get them talking about those things first because they become much more comfortable with you. Ask where did you get the tile, I may just go this same color or style. They will be comfortable with you. They will apricate the compliments and they will be happy they could help you. You can do all of this in the first 10 minutes. Works every time.

In the trade, but why wouldn’t the service tech access all issues, while on site? This guy said I’ve noticed we’ve been out there a few times, which doesn’t look good on techs, it invites the customer to ask why techs haven’t found these other issues. While “selling” which is a terrible word, the person should also mention that, they are a priority customer, with a maintenance agreement.
Laughing on the phone, also a no no, wouldn’t have this guy working at my company

What a joke! Every sales person knows people buy for logical reason based on emotion. So yes you need to make an emotional connection like I said every sales person knows this. But he did nothing to demonstrate value and fill a need. Not impressed at all! And trying to pass a staged call off as the real deal was not fooling anyone.
She sounded better at sales than he did. 😂🤣

You mean all the stuff people call and ask for because they prefer to finance and rent vs own out right? I’m sure people need all those financed luxury and Honda cars they financed at the dealership don’t they? oh yeah, even though they CHOSE to walk into a dealership
