Federer peak insanity from 04-07 was simple: galactic forehand supported by beautiful backhand slices and precise movement. Tennis has never looked this effortless and beautiful. Took two other GOATs to dethrone this man.

His movement was so fluid and natural in those years. Anticipation was as well.

love this shot construction by Fed. This match seems like a good example of prime Fed typical match where he dictates the tempo and uses his backhand to set up the point so he can finally get the ball to his forehand and then BOOM! He fires this cannon and point is over.

One of Federers most impressive slams

Yeah but in this slam he defeated 2 players that were nemeses for him when he was younger. But his domination was very impressive in the tournament

Unreal forehand. Unbelievable placement and control by Fed in his prime. He's got more powerful now and his serve and backhand are better, but that control isn't there anymore. Lots and lots of mishitting.

The last time that I saw FedEx wearing a necklace.

Perhaps also the last time he said confidence in his net play was somewhat lacking.

My number one inspiration for my game, this was my era of tennis before I took lessons in high school. I play like this when I'm all warm and flexible enough. Slicing, angled cross-court forehands, sneaking into net and finishing the point. So much fun to play like Roger!
