It is really amazing to watch the toilsome clashes of Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal. The last official showdown was utterly extraordinary. It was just like yesterday. All matches which were plainly competed between Federer and Nadal will always be in our mind. This rivalry was entirely path-breaking in the tennis history. These competitors have played the considerable roles in the expansion and evolution of the men's tennis, lucidly making the transition to another era.

The difference was not the racket, but Nadal physical condition since 2015, when he began to shorten the points because his body didn’t allow him to be the monster he had been years before. For a decade Fed was the second best clay court player but unfortunately playing against the GOAT of clay. Fed even said it, those loses really hurt him mentally. After 2017 and the little to no clay matches, Fed v Nadal was a no issue for Fed; I really wonder if he would’ve switched to a larger racquet earlier if it would’ve helped?!?! I say yes, hitting a massive amount of high and on the rise backhands is physically tough but as someone with a one handed bkhand, it makes it easier.

It's so fascinating to see how Roger completely transforms his point construction when facing the master lefty. His signature inside out forehand is really well muted here, going mostly for cross court forehand instead to Rafa's backhand time and time again. Can't imagine how disciplined he would have needed to be to beat the urge to shoot one down the line. Really patient and persistent play won him the match.

Lately most seem to be Nole-only fans who drop their limited view after enjoying watching the sea of Fed or Fedal highlight videos ironically or on tennis forums with a recency bias.
I really am thankful for all Nadal has done for tennis. If there were more than only about 30% of clay tournaments, surely he’d spent more weeks No. 1 than No. 2/3!! He has the record of weeks No. 2, if I’m not mistaken?!
He was leading Federer H2H even in hard courts, but in the last 5 years of their glorious 15-year rivalry RF with his Neo backhand overcame and won 5/5 on hard court (6/7 all-court!! -why he’s included on Fed’s 5 great rivalries lost more earlier but won more towards end) to flip to a positive H2H 11-9, pulled ahead further in grass to 3-1. Yes Rafa is clay king, no disputes there!!
However Roger did win 2 clay titles beating Nadal (Hamburg ‘07 & Madrid ‘09?, one of which ended Rafa’s incredible clay winning streak), and won 13 clay titles including 1 FO in 5 finals.

injured in 2014. It played a big part in
      Federer' 6/7”
Is that so? Then with “a broken down, much slower body” how did Nadal win several more slams (2 USO, 1 AO, a few FO) from the time Fed won the 6/7 last of their matches, as Fed increasingly had to be absent and retire over 2 years before Rafa?
Okay, now you reveal you’re actually trying to promote Djokovic’s case? Were you pretending to promote Nadal as a buffer before Nole?? It would’ve been wonderful if Nole wasn’t elbow-hurt in 2017, Federer’s 4th season with 90%+ won..
👏 to ND earning most total wins playing +10 than the Fedal 40 matches-chasing titles by any legal means in rivalry to tie H2H after 10 years, even edged RF at 1 slam F & 2 slam SFs overcoming match points-if RF won any 2 of these 3 matches, the 15-year H2H ties. Especially 👏 winning the ‘19 slam marathon final of 5 hours edging RF in the 5th set tiebreaker 13-12 (3), when 6 years younger than his 37.9 years-old opponent outperforming + points & + games.
And even though Novak barely edged Fed on H2H and overcame match points to win 2 US O & 1 Wimbledon, and had easier competition finally taking advantage of being 6 years youth to Federer chasing all titles he chased, still he couldn’t touch many Fed’s GOAT statistic records as follow:
      1. 👑 of Wimbledon -Most prestigious 🎾 🏆 (5 consecutive and 8 total)
      2. 👑of US Open -Biggest 🎾 stage (23k+) 5 Consecutive …That’s 5-8 in 3 slams, unlike other 2 who have only 1 slam 5+…
      3. Consecutive 237 weeks No. 1 (4.5 years)
      4. 90%+ won 4 seasons, x2 of Djoker (Big 3 high 95.3%)
      5. Re cord of 14 slams in 6 years (18/19 consecutive slam finals)
      6. Most matches and tournaments in Big three
      7. Greatest positive impact on 🎾
      8. Bageled all of fellow Big 3 (& Murray), was only bageled x1 by Nadal in clay, once near very early and by very end of 25 year career and an odd time-RF & ND each were bageled x10+ and bageled opponents a few less than RF’s Big 3 record of 15x.
      9. Won Wimbledon & AO without dropping a set, what Nadal only did at FO and Novak never.

Numbers are showing differently, so you can hate as much as like. Novak Đoković, aka NOLE, is the GOAT no matter how you try to insult or call him; it just proves with what amount of hate and disrespectful fanobis of others He had to deal with. That just makes it superior. Plus, he didn't play on GS due to discrimination; otherwise, he would have had more than 24 GS. Keep up the hate, though; it will serve as a great source of fuel for Him and other South Slavs, who knows, maybe for 25 GS.

@@Luchon20082010Thats exactly the point, a C level Novak still can beat Fed. People like to say how Federer was better, which is certainly true during the match. But beating your rivals while not being your best is a sign that you are the superior player.

Jesus said: I am the Good Shepherd and you are my beloved lamb!! Should I lay down my life for my lambs? He who is lost I will seek and He who is wounded I will heal… So why are you afraid, my child? In my arms, you have nothing to fear; trust me !
    | From Jesus to you
Today, the Lord invites you to abandon yourself to Him. He knows you, he knows what you need right now. He can and will act, but the only thing He asks of you is not to leave His Arms. Come and rest near Him, He is waiting for you...!
