This is true! Relaxing during contractions is a must. Anyone preparing for a childbirth should practice it. Other than that doing pregnancy yoga in the last trimester is very beneficial. Yoga has lot of stretching in its excercises which assist normal birth. (easier and faster dilation). I Practiced pregnancy yoga in last trimester and had a very peaceful easy birth. Hope this will helps someone!
40+3days...I am getting nervous about Labour as this is my 1st..but I'm choosing to remain positive and know that God is with me and each pain is for a purpose and my body is designed for this.👍🏽
This is the best explanation of a contraction pain and what to do with it video! In just few minutes you explained better than 99% people out there! Thank you so much!
I'm nearly 36 weeks now. I'm most concerned about taking care of an actual human baby after delivery. The pain of labor is temporary, but the work of parenthood is forever! Also concerned about long-term complications following labor and delivery, such as pelvic floor dysfunction and incontinence, hemorrhoids, diastastis recti, etc.
Same! I feel like I’m not ready but I’m gonna have to be. I feel like my life will be forever different and I hate change. I’m not as scard of giving birth as I am about the aftermath. I heard your in a lot of pain for weeks and on top of that. You have to take care of baby. I didn’t have a good mom growing up. And I’m terrified to be even remotely close to her. I don’t want to but my baby girl through that.
I feel this. I’m 35 weeks and I’m more nervous on taking care of a little one. But me and my fiance planned this. I’m grateful that I’ll have a support system there at the hospital tho I’m grateful I’ll have my fiance there to be there for me and our baby. I’m more nervous bc my sister hasn’t been the best mom and it’s scary to come close to being like her. I wanna be the best mom I can be
I am 37 weeks and would love some meditations that I can listen to in early labor and active labor. I have had anxiety almost my entire life and want to be as relaxed and in control as possible. The way you talk makes everything was less scary! It would be awesome to have some mediations about things that may happen and that it’s normal.
40 weeks today. It’s my due date 🥺 baby still hasn’t arrived. My first baby. Nervous about coping with pain but my mind is stronger then that 🙏 mind over matter I’m more worried about a healthy baby 💙 thank you for your videos very very helpful
36 weeks today, I'm mostly worried about all of the fatigue and bleeding, pain, and discomfort I'll have after the baby is born. I wonder if you have, or could make, a postpartum experience video explaining the possibilities and remedies for what happens next. Love all of your videos!!
I’m 33 weeks with my fourth baby…I can only speak for myself but honestly it’s just such a relief to NOT be pregnant… it’s kind of nice. Best thing for fatigue bleeding and pain AFTER baby is go slow and just don’t overdo it!!! Good luck ladies!!!! And, if you are wondering if anything is amiss, don’t be afraid to go in or call the triage nurse! 😊💗💗💗
34 weeks and 5 days today: I've done two updates on other videos on here- first one at 7 weeks When I successfully passed the scary period where I miscarried last year (6 weeks and 4 days), and then again at 27 weeks praying that my lone kidney (and BP) would hold up through the strain (still a source of stress for me since they recently discovered a dangerously high level of protein in my urine, and I was hospitalized briefly this past Friday). I'm doing better now, and hoping it stays that way! To all you new and experienced moms out there- GOOD LUCK AND BE WELL!
I will be 39 weeks tomorrow. Have been following your videos since second trimester and simply loved them. My biggest fear is coping with the labor pain as with my first pregnancy I had contractions for 18+ hours without going into active labor. Would appreciate meditation video on how to cope with pain. Thanks for all the resources you are putting out there. Can’t be grateful enough!
Your lucky for 18 hours hahaha I was having contractions for 37 hours before I was in active labour with my first, I'm currently 38 weeks with my seconds xxx
Please post a meditation/relaxation guide :) Just want to share that your videos have been AMAZING. I am pregnant with our first, and have had to make so many accommodations with my weight training exercises. I wanted to find something challenging but something I felt safe doing. Your Pregnancy Videos have allowed me to stay active while enjoying the movements, without worry of hurting myself. Your attitude, knowledge, and video style has made your channel my go to and recommendation to other mamas. Keep doing you!!
Yes please post a meditation! I’m due to give birth this month and I did ok the first time but would like to be more relaxed through the process this time!
Oh I would love a meditation guide! I’ve been doing your workouts for months now and I’m 37 weeks today 🤗 I’m most nervous about just the unknown, this is my first baby, so I don’t know what to expect with birth pain/how it feels.
Great Way To Explain How To Recover Between Contractions. I'm 29 weeks 4 days and have two kids. I never really understood fully the concept of breathing between contractions but now I get it. Thank you.
Thank you so so much for this video. You are the only person on TH-cam with a video that goes into full detail and answers all of my questions. As well as giving amazing advice! Thank you
I'm 28 weeks with my first baby. I'm loving your videos and I think it is because of them that I have been feeling so great throughout this pregnancy! I think the meditation guide is a great idea.
I’m 21 weeks pregnant and I feel like you hit the nail right on the head when talking about pain and pressure. I had a baby 8 months ago so we got pregnant very soon after she was born. And because it’s still quite fresh in my mind, I am nervous about doing it again.. even though I had a very positive vbac
26 weeks in, yes if we have contraction relaxation course would be totally helpful! Love all the walking walkouts that you made to help us through the pregnancy gracefully and healthily! Would also like more tabata style 30 mins workout too!
Thank you for this! I am loving these short informational videos on preparing for labor and birth. I would love to have a meditation / relaxation practice for between contractions. I am 30 weeks pregnant this week!
Nice, contractions looks scary! Did you finally release the meditation session? That would be amazing!! Thanks so much for your videos, they are great!
I’m 35 weeks with my first baby. To be honest, I’m not nervous about labor because I don’t know how it’s going to go so I figured there’s no point getting worked up over it. I have been going through labor mantras I got on Pinterest so they’ve been helping a lot. I watch your videos as well and have been taking some of the pilate exercises you’ve posted very seriously.
@@PregnancyandPostpartumTV, I’m so ready to meet my little one 🥰❤️ All your prenatal videos have made this journey fun and I can’t wait to watch all your postnatal content!
This is my mindset too! I know I’ve been doing everything I can to prepare so at least I’ve controlled what I can up until this point and have become educated in the labor process! I love the labor mantra idea, that will be my final stage of prep. 38 weeks today!
Just entering 32wks and it's getting real. Keep feeling like we have nothing done even though logically i know we just need the bare necessities at the moment. I would say biggest fear/nervousness is the actual pain of labor
I'm 38w6days and have been loving your yoga videos ( I really like the full body yoga sculpt & pregnancy exercises for easy delivery. ) Been using a stability ball too. My goal is to try to have a natural birth but if I need an epidural I will get one. I would love more suggestions for relaxation/ breathing/ meditation during contractions. I can't thank you enough for your videos.....they have been helping so much these last weeks leading up to delivery!!! :-)
This could not be more different than what I experienced. Crushing back pain the entire time, nothing in the front and it didn’t let up at all. I wish I knew more about back labor at the time. Truly intolerable agonizing pain. I’m kind of sad. I didn’t get to have this experience. I was actually looking forward to the gradual feeling of my baby preparing herself. Maybe next time.
I am 33 weeks pregnant and trying to prepare myself for labor and delivery. Thanks for sharing all this information. It is really helpful for First time mums on what to expect. Been following your Yoga, Pilates and Walking Workouts. Looking forward to more such short information videos and walking workouts. :)
I really enjoy all your videos, you have such a positive vibe :) Your yoga and pilates sessions and your short explanation videos are a daily thing since my second trimester, helping me to relax and stay strong. THANK YOU so much!
Great video, and yes a relaxation / meditation video would be great. Maybe tips if you have any on how you 'go into yourself' as you mentioned here would be good, as that's what I'm looking to achieve :)
I am 36 weeks pregnant and i will be induced at 38 weeks pregnant in a couple weeks and I'm most nervous about the pain that I'm going to feel right away because alot of people say that, when being induced it hurts ten times worse then having your water break naturally. Excited to say this is going to be my first baby.
@Ava M @Queen Kaili It went well!! I actually had a healthy beautiful baby boy. And how to best manage laboring at home! I want to have a natural and unmedicated birth!
39 weeks and 3 days pregnant with my second 💛 it was 7 years ago when I had my first and to be honest I’m super nervous about what this labour will be like; my first was amazing and I had a beautiful birth but I can remember almost wanting to give up and I’m a little scared about how I’ll handle the pain this time
I'm currently 20 weeks pregnant with my first baby and I'm terrified of the labor and birth! Especially when the baby is crowning 😬😳 I'm so nervous and I've never had a good pain tolerance...
I had my first baby on May 3rd last year. She was born at 36 weeks but she's perfectly healthy and surprisingly, the labor and birth process wasn't as bad as I thought it would be! It is painful, yes but I got through it quickly and safely and I wish the same for you! Don't be nervous, our bodies were made to do this 🙂 best of luck to you! @@Wadha111
I'm 40 weeks tomorrow and I think I've had prodromal labor for weeks now. I haven't dilated past 2 the past 4 weeks and I've done everything I can think of to help induce my labor naturally. I followed your video on how you induced your labor. The only things I haven't done is the accupuncture or accupressure because I live too far from a major city to have to it done. I don't know how to make it progress more. My doctor wants to induce me next week and I was trying to avoid that.
I love love love your content! Thank you so much! I’m not pregnant although I would love to be. My two previous pregnancies were with SPD and it was the worst nightmare... long 9 months of agony. I’ve seen you uploaded 3 videos dedicated to SPD and slowly I am convincing myself to have this baby I have been waiting for... I am just so scared I don’t think I can do it again, the pain is just too much.
28 weeks and have been following for a while - thanks for the great content! I'm a little nervous about the pain, but my actual fear is something going awry during labor, like shoulder dystocia or baby's heart rate getting and staying low.
Thank you for all your videos! I am 22 weeks, and trying to go through ALL your videos, before due date:) I am the most nervous about my uterus rupturing, as I will be going for a VBAC delivery 🙉
My 9th month just started and after seeing your videos I learnt doing Bridge pose helps with pelvic pain which I was doing and my pain reduced a lot. I want to know if I can still do bridge pose in 9th month as I feel very heavy now with baby weight. Let me know your response.
Had my first October 9th. What do contractions actually feel like. Well they start off feeling like a period cramp that intensifies as time progresses labor. My experience with this was not great as I did not receive down time between my contractions. My bodies response to pain was to throw up every single time a contraction hit and by the time my body was done throwing up another contraction would hit beginning the cycle again so I was contraction throwing up contraction throwing up every single time for about 6 or 7 hours of my labor was like this. They opted to give me an epidural before I was 4/5cm dilated because I was on the brink of passing out from the loss of fluids from throwing up so much. I was 2/3cm dilated when I received my epidural and I was in labor for roughly 26 hours.
I’m 19 weeks and I’m worried about having to push at 10cm without feeling the urge to push. I didn’t feel the urge with my last two but they made me push anyway. I don’t want that to happen this time 😞
Im 25 weeks. During first baby I could relax between contractions, but I could not relax my glutes during contractions. I tried to focus on breathing through and accepting the contractions but it would not happen. Any tips would be appreciated.
Getting to week 30 in 2 days! I were told by my OB that I have low-lying placenta on my week 25 and occasionally have a little of pink vaginal bleeding. I have been stopped doing any exercise since then. I would like to start on some light exercise again. Could you recommend some of your exercise videos that I can do for my condition? Thank you!
Thanks so much for this! I’m almost 37 weeks and would really appreciate the guide as, initially, I plan for a labour without epidural. My biggest concern is if I will be able to cope and avoid getting all nervous and tense….
I'm almost 36 weeks so I totally feel you ladies! Yep, I'm mostly worried I won't be able to cope with the pain and I'm pretty worried about tearing. Ouch!
@@wyattgraft same here about the pain! I asked my midwife and she said they can give you IV pain meds that make you feel like you’ve had a glass or two of wine. Helps take the edge off and helps you relax. Which is really helping my racing mind!
34 weeks here...and one of the mantras I've been telling myself is, "My body can't produce a pain I can't handle." Don't forget how powerful your mind can be! Google the "Fear-Tension-Pain" cycle.

I'm 40 weeks and I experience sharp pains that come as wave, my stomach is hard with it. Is it contraction? I'm trying for vba2c so I'm confused if it's sth serious. I feel the pain mainly on cervix,
I love your videos and would love to see a relaxation/meditation one. 39 weeks and 3 days pregnant with my second 💛 it was 7 years ago when I had my first and to be honest I’m super nervous about what this labour will be like; my first was amazing and I had a beautiful birth but I can remember almost wanting to give up and I’m a little scared about how I’ll handle the pain this time
Another session on how to deal with this would be GREAT! Help me relax :) Love your videos and thank you
I’m 12 weeks and the labor pain is my worry
I'm currently 20 weeks pregnant with my first baby and I'm terrified of the labor and birth! Especially when the baby is crowning 😬😳 I'm so nervous and I've never had a good pain tolerance...
Wow, I hope you're baby is healthy now, how was your experience? It's my first time and I'm so nervous
Oh I hope baby comes for you!!! You still have time and things can change quickly!
I would love a meditation for going through labor!
36 weeks, 5 days. I hope you can help me through this!!
I am 22 weeks, and trying to go through ALL your videos, before due date:)
I am the most nervous about my uterus rupturing, as I will be going for a VBAC delivery 🙉
36w2d with my 3rd daughter. After a bad experience with my second delivery, I am going to try to do this one naturally.
was your second delivery through a C section?
I'm 39 weeks 5 days, and no where near giving birth yet unfortunately
Thank you! I'm 29 weeks 💛
I’m 38 weeks , just want to go into labor already 😅
The end is so hard! Come on baby!
36 weeks,2 days! Due September 5th. First baby
37 weeks tomorrow! This was great to know. Love you & your videos 💕
I'm 39w & I still don't feel any contractions 😢
My 9th month just started and after seeing your videos I learnt doing Bridge pose helps with pelvic pain which I was doing and my pain reduced a lot. I want to know if I can still do bridge pose in 9th month as I feel very heavy now with baby weight. Let me know your response.
Thank you so much, Jessica!
37 weeks! I'm feeling most nervous about the pain 😩
How did it go?
A guided meditation will be helpful :)
37 weeks ..great info
I’m 19 weeks and I’m worried about having to push at 10cm without feeling the urge to push. I didn’t feel the urge with my last two but they made me push anyway. I don’t want that to happen this time 😞
I’m 35 weeks pregnant now
Im 25 weeks.
Thank you!
Really helpful thank you! A follow up video would be really helpful! Thank you for helping us all through this beautiful time! 30 weeks :)
Can you please please show us what to do to relax in between the contraction
Yes, a video is coming!
@@PregnancyandPostpartumTV thank you!
Thanks so much for this! I’m almost 37 weeks and would really appreciate the guide as, initially, I plan for a labour without epidural. My biggest concern is if I will be able to cope and avoid getting all nervous and tense….
I am right there with you! I am also 37 weeks!
So how was your labour? Did you go all natural?
I'm 32 weeks and I'm scared because it's my first and I'm not build for pain sickness and discomfort
You are stronger than you think! Your body will know what to do and your doctors will work with you as well if you aren’t coping!
34 weeks here...and one of the mantras I've been telling myself is, "My body can't produce a pain I can't handle." Don't forget how powerful your mind can be! Google the "Fear-Tension-Pain" cycle.
During the last 6 hours of labor I had one huge contraction. The waves stopped. Awfully painful. How unusual is this?
Yes it would be helpful
31 weeks & 2 days
I’m 24 weeks with my first! I’ve been following your prenatal exercises and have managed not to have a sore body so far 🙂. I am definitely nervous about labor…I want to be able to go through the experience in a positive way but then I just wonder if it’ll be too painful for me! Preparing for it as well as I can. Hopefully everything will progress well! Thank you for your videos
Congratulations on your pregnancy! It’s normal to be nervous and you are going to do amazing!
6 weeks! 🎉🎉
I'm at 35 weeks with my fourth baby and my body is so much weaker this time around. My last labor was so fast. I'm worried that I won't make it to the hospital in time 😅
Yay! Baby #4! You have lots of experience now… I can see how you might have to rush!
My wife is expericiesing labour pain she is going to the toiled but nothing comes out
I’m only 7 weeks but I’m already planning it’s my first baby I am so scared of the pain I wanna be strong an do no epidural
I am about to be 41 weeks pregnant, first child!
I'd say what scares me most is to rip my perineal muscle :(
but it's like, 99% of women so, I'll just have to cope with it if it happens right?
Anyway, thank you for this video
Nope thst isn’t true. 99% of women donot tear. That’s way off. Please look up evidence based birth about this.
@@coutureitup but I did, and so did say my OBGYN and the nurse who was following me...
Can it be on one side?
37 weeks
I'm 40 weeks and I experience sharp pains that come as wave, my stomach is hard with it. Is it contraction? I'm trying for vba2c so I'm confused if it's sth serious. I feel the pain mainly on cervix,
After c section delivery what to do for normal delivery ?
I love your videos and would love to see a relaxation/meditation one. I had a (admittedly short) period of time where I was doing your videos daily and now have completely fell off, only doing about 2 workout videos in the last month! 😣 I'm 38w2d, following the Bradley Method for labor is the plan 💕
Does you mean all of these feelings come through labor without the back injection? Or with?
This is without an epidural or pain relief
37 wks
For me contractions feel like an earthquake... Which is probably not a sound, logical explanation, but that is how my body interprets it.
Thanks for sharing! I haven’t heard that one before!
33 weeks!! Most scared of labor length and tearing 😬
❤
I'm 39w & I still don't feel any contractions 😢
