  • This is all a learning experience for me. First time not hand bombing a whole skid of salt off. I have a tractor now that can do most of the lifting! Let's see what this 3039R can do. I have a good idea but wanted to test it out. Sit back and enjoy my video!

    Hi Mike,
Another nice Video, which I enjoyed.
New adds on your Truck ,also new tires.
Also a new learning experience for you, how to get a hole skid of salt,
from your truck onto your tractor.
You did pretty good for the first time,
All I can say is, way to go Mike.
    You are learning pretty fast
    Have a good day !!

It's been my dream forever to have room to do stuff. You will see more with the tractor. I just got hired to do an acre or so of brush cutting. Prob be doing the job closer to the end of the month. Will be my first one with the new set up. Thanks Jon!

My feelings are hurt. I love pepper! No one buys pepper! You're just rubbing salt in my wounds! haha! Good forward thinking, Brother. Bulk up now!
Like the old saying goes; "there's no time like the present." I added to the springs on my F150 a couple of years ago. Had a spring crack on me so,
I contacted a company in New York. Shipping time was awesome and so are the heavier springs! Good video, Mike. Thanks for shariing. God bless.

Didn't mean to hurt your feelings Lou lol. Honestly, I prefer pepper too. I only use salt on fries, other then that, only pepper on food. Enough of that, yes, I am always proactive and like to be ahead of the game. With this skid added to what I have left over from last year, I have 156 bags, 6864 lbs. of salt to start the season. Talking about leaf springs, what a difference it makes. Cheaper than air bags. Thanks for watching and have a great weekend.

It's easy to turn up pressure on the valve body ,but I don't think your ready for that yet, but you will be.

Thanks for the honest review, I'll stay clear of the JD after seeing how little it lifts.

That is with a ballast box in too. Its not a John deere thing, it's the size of the tractor. All brands in this class will be the same. If you want to lift more you obviously need a heavier 🚜. Thanks for watching.

You are going to have tons of leaves when they fall, but beautiful property. It doesn't hurt to get the salt now it's better to be safe than sorry. That is a sweet truck you got. I got to say with those spacers on your tractor it looks so good nice and beefy. I know that salt is a lot of weight. You really did a good taking the salt off the truck. Great video Mike.

    • @MBGAdventures

I know. The maples are losing their leaves already. So nice around here. You drive down our street, the trees all cover over the road and when you get the orange, reds with the leaves, looks so nice and relaxing driving through. The spacers help so much with the heavier loads now too. So much more stable. I love my truck. Still everyday I can't believe I have a diesel truck and was able to make the deal for it back in 2017. Very proud everyday! Thanks Bill and have a great weekend!

@@MBGAdventures Well a leaf cleanup at your house is a video Lol. Yes it must be nice and peaceful but you deserve it cause you work very hard. It is beautiful with the different color leaves. I'm glad you got them spacers cause it's much safer also. You do have a very nice truck, I'm jealous Lol. I'm happy you were able to get a diesel and you should be proud. Your very welcome and you also have a great weekend Mike.

You know what man, I talked about it before and i'm a firm believer in adding leaf springs. So much cheaper than air bags. They don't effect the ride of the truck at all. My second time doing it on a truck. I will be hauling my tractor again soon with the brush cutter. Not sure if you seen that other video with the flat bed trailer and tractor on it. That was before the added leaf springs. We will see a huge difference once it's hooked up again. Thanks for watching Melvin!

Good illustration on how ALL the loaders leak down on the 3R series tractors !!
I found out that John Deere uses a cheap China made valve body that does not have O-rings in it !
The bigger 4-series uses a heavier valve body that does have o-rings, and is made in the USA !!
John Deere will cut corners just like all big com just so they can make more money !!
They also don’t offer the self leveling loader on any of the 3-Series !!
They offer it on every single series of tractor they make EXCEPT THE 3-SERIES !!!!!
    WTF John Deere ?
    Such BS right ??
