I have the ST AWD (I like the black out and the black 20's) with leather and almost all of the amenities of the Avenir. Coming from an Audi the tech is far superior and actually works. AWD torque vectoring. Wireless CarPlay. 3 years of Premium OnStar, full wifi, 10 years of OnStar connected services makes the other brands seem primitive (because they are). The tech works: GM is lightyears ahead in tech - think iPad think space shuttle. The 9 speed is awesome as the car always has the correct gear on hand and the shifts are spectacular. Yes, the engine was de-tuned for regular gas - I'm 100% OK with this as I do not miss having to pay for Premium as I actually drive a lot and do not miss the expensive fill-ups. I have nothing bad to say about my Buick. The ride is fabulous and never, not one time, did I think the liftgate was not operating fast enough. Everything works - I cannot overstate this. It was the right choice as I do well over 25,000 miles/year and am in the vehicle an awful lot. Buick consistently rating at the top of the JD Powers quality ratings matters to me and I have had zero issues with my Envision. But the bottom line is that the car does everything it is supposed to do and does it well, the tech far outperforms the competition, and it is plenty fast enough unless you are an egomaniac with insecurity issues who needs to race the guy next to you at every light - thankfully I do not.
The Envision is my number one pic for my next car so thank you for a real world review! I have a 2015 Chevy Equinox with 145,000 miles and ready to hand this down to my daughter but I'm holding off until the 2024 refresh comes out. People saying it's too slow need to look at v6 sports cars and realize they're not in the market for a daily driver lol. I don't get the complaints about the blind spot monitoring because I have it in mine now and I turn it off. It's annoying when it beeps and I have the ability to turn my head and look like we've all had to our entire lives 😂.
Best SUV on the market for money. 2023 up grades that are available makes the Avenir a great value in a luxury car. Wish they came with V6 Engine to get over 300 HP. Still a Awesome SUV. All wheel drive is nice with a 9 speed automatic Transmission Mr. C
Thank you, good review. I've been looking at the 2023 Buick Envision Avenir for the pass week and finally decided to purchase one. The only regret I have is the missing Blind Spot Indicator due to the chip shortage. The Buick Envision kinda looks like my current vehicle on steroids which is a 2020 MB CLA250 with the AMG appearance package. I love my CLA but we have recently purchased some e-Bikes. and need a hitch bike carrier. Actually, we were out biking 2 weeks ago on a bike path that passed in front of a Buick car dealership were the Envision made me do a double-take look, literally. I was so impressed by its appearance that I took a few pictures to remember which model it was and to check it out online. Buick was never on my radar screen, I was thinking of purchasing a new MB GLA but the Buick Envision Avenir styling at it price point is an irresistible SUV.
Great review! I was going to get a Trax but it had some things I didn’t like. I went with the 23 Envision Preferred ST. Picking it up tomorrow, I can’t wait!
I was just at the Caddy/Buick/GM dealer here on Vancouver Island and he took me aside before I even test drove this car and told me the Buick was much better than the comparable Cadillac, especially for the money. Softer, smoother ride, and way more safety features for a much smaller price tag. I wish it had a V6 naturally aspirated, but I can live with the 4 banger turbo. I bought my mom a Mercedes GLC before she passed away and the Buick is much more comfortable. The Avenir seats are some of the most comfortable I've sat in since my Chrysler New Yorker, my first car. It's not THAT comfortable, obviously, but for leather seats, I was impressed. The tech is straightforward and easy to use and it's so nice to drive. I'm not looking for a sporty SUV. That's like asking for a comfortable Mustang or Corvette. That's not what they were designed for. Having grown up in a large Asian community, those guys know they're comfortable cars, and if it's popular in China, there's a reason.
Nice looking vehicle but biggest issue with it was they were selling these in 2023 with missing features - blindspot monitor, lumbar support, rear cross traffic. To me that is unacceptable. Steer clear of them in 2023. New one comes in 2024 hopefully with all things in it. Also heard about tons of electrical issues on the 2023 model
I have purchased the 2023 buick envision last year back in April and so far it been okay. It has sufficient power on the highway with the 4 cylinder turbo. This is the essence ST model with the low profile 20" wheels which are rough riding and some road noise which you should not hear that from a new vehicle. Not happy with this purchase.
This trim is really nice on the Enclave as well. This is built in China for that market. Buick is loved there. The Encore is built in South Korea. The Enclave is made in America. The Avenir trim, which means “future”, is extremely nice, especially on the Enclave. Never thought I’d like Buick, but it’s the only American brand that gets consistently mentioned in reliability surveys. The depreciation is absolutely awful on all four models.
Buick, 🤔. I have heard people saying good things about them. My grandfather was a Buick man my dad was a Chrysler guy. Of course I prefer Japanese, simply for the reliability and economy. Something the aforementioned did not have to think about back in their day. Thanks for this one Anthony you got me thinking, not only about autos but about some good men too.
My dad is a Toyota guy but for some reason bought a VW 🤷♂️. Buicks are nice and because of the increase price of everyone, it becomes a great value vehicle.
How about some night lights to see what this looks like at night, LED or filament light bulbs. I would like to see grandpapa get in and out of this vehicle without falling down. And if this is such a good model, why does it no longer exist in 2024?
I bought a 2022 loaded Envision. Big mistake! I should have known better. Buick was giving cars away last spring with 0% financing when prices were up and vehicles were in terrible short supply. Since my purchase around Memorial Day, I have been at the dealer with issues at least 6 times, unlike any new vehicle I have ever owned. Electrical and fit and finish issues have been ongoing. Boy, I wish to Heaven that I had not made this decision!
If it is the same problem you should look into lemon law and work with the dealership you bought it from for buy back. Not ever vehicle is perfect this is why they have lemon law 👍.

Thanks for your insight, it looks like 2024 will have features deleted to so always check the msrp for these missing features 👍
Very nice SUV. Much better than the Germans!
They are nice 👍

@@daleauramenko9347 thanks for your insight 👍
The second key fob and heated seats are on hold until the microchips are available and retrofitted
That is great news because these vehicle are awesome with luxury that puts it in higher classes for less 👍
Mine came with two fobs
they aren't all missing the same features. some have heated/ventilated seats but no blind spot monitoring, etc

That's good for those of us looking to snap up a used one. Great value for the money used.

Bring the V6 back!❤
Time we are in
Why would they not include heated and cooled seats? I know that option was in the 2022 model. At this price I would pass on tbis suv
Chip problems with GM 👍
Great review. But what’s up with getting only one key fob ?
Chip problems still but GM will retro fit it 👍
We just bought one, GM will retro fit it for us. The dealership is paying us $150 as an inconvenience fee while we wait.
Just bought a 2023 Buick Envision Avenir 3 weeks or so ago and I received two key fobs. I also have the heated/cooled seats.

It is coming out and a refresh like I explained in the review, did you watch the short video?

Have you checked out what the Koreans are doing! Alll I can say is that GM and Ford better step up
It does have electrical issues if you look online
Nice car. Too bad its made in Cina
They are nice
Rev up sounds like it needs a new rubberband!!!
It’s more for luxury then performance 👍
Made in China….deal breaker
It’s not everyone’s cup of tea 👍
Only ONE KEY FOB…😡😡😡😡😡😡good bye!
It’s happens 👍
