    This is THE BEST recipe! Trust me... Was a district manager for popeyes... The only change I would do is to ensure your batter is below 40 degrees. Make before hand and set it in fridge for a minimumof 3 hours. Their chicken philosophy is... Cold chicken, cold batter, in hot oil ĺ360°) makes crispy exceptional Crust. Been looking for a SPOT ON batter recipe! Thank you

      Yeah, I actually had that in my notes to keep it super cold and forgot to write it into the script!

      @@deseandukes5375I do... not the perfect Popeyes sauce.... HOWEVER, That being said... Blend some mayo together with a few (depends on heat level) Chipotle peppers in Adobo. Super easy and pretty close. Also... try balancing them along with some Cajun seasoning you'll find the blend your looking for eventually. Write ot down!😂

    Really love your videos man and the effort behind them. And of course, the effort you go through to write everything down and post the recipes to follow along. So many foodtubers publish 'recipe videos' but you go check the video description and there's nothing there. They want you to watch their video, and apparently any time you want to reference the recipe, you're supposed to skip around the video and write everything down yourself while you're trying to make it. It's gotten to the point I just refuse to watch any 'recipe' videos that don't actually post the recipe even if the food looks amazing.
    Thanks again.

    As always, nice work Jason! The spicy Popeyes chicken sandwich uses a lot of (think bordering on too much!) Louisiana pepper sauce. To me, I felt that the bun they use is perhaps a hybrid of brioche and a slightly corn breaded bun. Closer to brioche but definitely with a little Masa / finely ground cornmeal crunch. I plan to make this recipe within 1-2 weeks. If I decide to tackle my version of the bun, I'll reply to this post. Cheers!

    Thanks for reading the comment and I hope it makes it onto your idea list 🙏!

    Hi Jason, I like the "spicy" chicken sandwich, so do you happen to know what I should add and where I should add it? Thanks in advance

    • @farmageddon
      @farmageddon  24 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      You'd add more white pepper, cayenne, and paprika to the poultry batter. You would also use the spicy mayonnaise. I'll do a community post in a week or two explaining how to make it.

    Thank you Jason. Do you know if Popeye's chicken tenders would use exactly same process and ingredients? Thanks!

      You're very welcome. I believe it's the same process and ingredients for the tenders.

    My fav burger pickles are Heinz, hard to find. They just have a simplicity to them, I've never had a popeyes chicken sandwich. But I used to try to make mcdonalds burgers, and those pickles were my fav and I felt I got close.

    The teaspoon vs gram weights are quite a bit different depending on the dry ingredient used... is this due to the the density of the product? Which you you recommend we use... by volume or by weight?

    Outstanding job!! You hit it out of the park.... Regarding the pickles, you should use Grillo Pickles. They make the sandwich come alive and quite frankly taste way better than the ones that come from Popeyes...
    Also, for those people who can't have sugar due to Diabetes, just use Monk Fruit. It's a one for one sugar swap and tastes just like sugar without any of the blood sugar spikes... Also, it's all natural...

    I noticed the voice over said 1 tbsp or tsp of X, but the weight measurement varied between ingredients a lot. Does the precision matter? I imagine it wouldn't make too much of a difference, but just curious. Also, those Artesano brioche buns are heavenly no matter what's in between them!
    Really appreciate the reverse engineering and dedication to authenticity in your videos! Truly top notch work!

      If you want the precise recipe that will taste exactly as I made it at home - I would use a scale. I always try to include volume and weight because I know most people are going to be more lax with the recipe. But using weight will get you the exact recipe.
