With the aggressive ergonomics of the R7 we now have another reliable Japanese comfortable sports bike option to the Aprilia rs660. What a great move
When it comes the sportbike its all about japanese.forgot ktm or duke.italian can never beat japanese sport bikes.japan itself is the first ones to creat sport bikes.
I mean forgot aprilia sorry my fault but anyway italian cN never japanese superbikes.alsi the way how sport bike should look was first japan itself. Then after other manufacturer from other countries followed japans design and tech for sport bikes
Porky GSX-8R w/high bars looks more like a Ninja 650 competitor (not R7 / RS660)
I'm sorry but where do you see aggressive ergonomics on the 8R ? Its bars are as high as a sports tourer, lol. R7 has a way more aggressive position. So does RS 660. Unfortunately, because i wanted 8R to be way more sporty than the naked version.
This is a roadster with a sportive look. Look at the position of the pilot, look at the handlebar
NOW that's a relatable commercial. A day after work, going out for a ride with friends or even meeting up for a meal. These are the memories we ride for !~

S1000や8Sの多段ヘッドライトをフルカウルにも持ってきたか。従来のフルカウル系で「眼」に当たる部分はむしろマルっとくり抜かれてるが、エアインテークになってるのかな。

Love the 8R and how Suzuki focused on a comfortable street sport bike unlike what Yamaha did with the aggressive riding position on the R7.
I mean, I feel like a sports bike should be aggressive. If you don't want aggressive, literally almost every other class of bike is comfortable, or comfortable enough.
Nah. I understand you and i do love the aggressive riding style of a lot of these bikes. However, a lot of times we like to look cool but not have a back ache. There is a big market for riders like those. I would love to buy one as a sport bike but also as a commuter. That's the reason the CB500R sales so good. It looks sporty but it's a great commuter.@@runeboy200
@@runeboy200the issue is many consumers want the look of a sportbike but dont want their back out of wack just to ride it. This is one of the reasons naked bikes are so popular now

Good on you Suzuki for finally putting something new and cool on the market! Now how about getting on the those 20 - 30 + year old dual-purpose bikes (DRZ400 / DR650S) and giving them some love? Update lighting and gauge clusters, modernize ergonomics for stand up riding, and maybe EFI? Would be awesome to punch DRZ400 out to 500cc as well.

I do think I like the new "face" of the GSX bikes, whether it's GSX-S1000 or the 8S or the 8R. However, I hope Suzuki puts this face on the GSX-S1000GT (the GX version gets it).
This 8R bike reminds me of the niche that Ducati has with it's Supersport, but more affordable, reliable.
Look at the Yamaha TRX 850 thirty years ago. This is near by! 😊

Que fuerte, prefiero una GSXR750R, de lejo.. Este modelo solo sirve para moto escuela o un paseo el domingo... Suzuki lleva mas de 20 años sin sacar una moto pasión. Menos la ultima Hayabusa Gen.3.. Se de lo que hablo, ya que he tenido muchas Suzuki desde los años 80 ;-( Y entre otras RG250G, GSXR750R, GSXR1100R, 3 Hayabusa Gen.1

I like the styling, but the high bars wasn't something I was hoping for.

The high bars are the best part. Otherwise everyone would just get an R7.
It's meant to be a mid-way ergonomics package between a naked sports bike and a race-oriented supersport. If you want more racy ergonomics in a twin-cylinder format, the R7 would be that package. This 8R bike reminds me more of the Ducati Supersport in terms of ergonomics and niche of riding. Or think of the old VFR800.
Please make a cool 250 cylinder Suzuki motorbike like this for Indonesia
