Thank you! Definitely was super clear! if i had polarized lens for the gopro, you would have seen how crazy them river grass would wiggle as the current went by them. it was an epic trip for the wifey and I!
Always a great time to get the Mrs. out on the water. Congrats on your first walleye! You were hype. I've mostly caught walleye at night. Never midday. Always wanted to fish the water gap myself. Great video!
Thank you mate! Yeah she never really pops up on any of my social media. Perhaps on IG once in a while for certain events like vacations. But this is the first she even touched my rod/reel. The walleye was an awesome catch. They do bite during the day as long as u can locate them.
The Delaware Water Gap is one of the most beautiful places in the Northeast! I fished it a couple months ago from the bank and caught a couple smallies. You did great out there - a multi-species slam! Walleye, Smallies, Rock Bass, and Red Breast. Awesome video brother! The Delaware has everything - big musky, shad, and stripers too!
thx man! got a ton of panfish but didn't wanna bulk up the video, none of them were at size but was fun and entertaining. The pickerels there tho were small. was hoping it was a redfin or grass pickerel! but a smallie usually get the lure before he could get it. I have seen sucker fish, cat fish, carp and i think a brook trout! Saw amercian shad and even eels! what a day!
I've had a lot of success on that river with gold and silver in-line spinners. Mepps and Joe's flies are what I use with 4lb test. I've caught sunnys to Striped Bass on them. Kietech swimbaits crush on that river as do Ned rigged zman cares and TRD worms. Tight lines!
man i love them joe's flies spinners. they always looks so cool! striped bass all the way up there?? that sounds awesome! i can't wait to go back. thx for the tips!
definitely should be on the list for anyone who lives within the area! i'll probably hit it up a different season in hopes for better fishing, especially for walleyes!
I fished there many times. I never caught real big smallmouth (18" plus) but those river fish fight like they think they are. Caught a lot of shad also the roe is delicious.
Such a beautiful river! My husband is there right now fly fishing for trout. Last summer, we did a guided float and caught over 50 smallies in a half day! (Video is on our channel, I could not believe the day we had!!!)
it's definitely awesome up there! Wish i can go up further into NY where there's more trout. floating down the river is very relaxing! I would do it again!
It's at a pay park. Don't remember because it was part of my hotel deal. They just drove us in, dropped us off and there were ppl there launching us. We fitted up at the hotel with life vest and that was it lol. I was at the Poconos
@@rawrfishing Just to let you know; the free gold and silver spoons that came in the box with the GH-100 reels. They ain’t no joke, if you got couple try them and see if they work for you next time you go trout fishing. I caught over a half dozen trout in last Saturday using a gold one. I just cast it out across fast moving water and slowly reeled it above the bottom. If the water was shallow, I just raised my rod tip a little and reeled faster. The Trout really pounded that little spoon. I use the Tusrinoya rod and the XF-50 reel Then moved upstream a mile and switched over to the GH-100 and a Tomo rod. I caught the biggest trout on the GH-100 reel. Big 18’ Rainbow it was a real dandy. This is the perfect time go fish on any cool water stream. No waders needed just use wading shoes and neoprene booties. I didn’t touch a spinning or fly rod all day. I just tied that little spoon right to the braid and pretended to be Angler Saito. If that river is not much of a drive, it might be a perfect spot.
@@rawrfishing I thouught the manufacture put them in with the reels. Well you will just have to use Jigs. The spoons weighed 3.5 grams and had one single hook. One gold and one silver in color. I could see the gold one and sometimes I could see the trout chasing it down. I checked out those vibes you have and they are kind of pricy. That was nice you took along your wife. She might make a good fishing Pal.
@@gizmocarr3093 I have just looked some up on Aliexpress.. gonna have it shipped now for fall trout fishing! found some cool looking ones. Yeah they are pricey for sure, but you know how social media fishing is all about. can't just use one lure out there and expect to keep people watching. It is kinda fun to play with new lures, but if i weren't on social media, i'll just use the cheapest thing out there LOL
oh wow! that's crazy! i didn't drive there so I don't know lol. i was dropped off by the canoe company. hope you were able to get that flat repaired/replaced!
Awesome man you finally got down there did you guys shuttle your cars or was it just a one way canoe ride rental? I love it , water was so nice beautiful. I haven't been to that section yet myself.
Heck yeah man! We had a 1 way shuttle and we basically stayed at the hotel by the river. All we did was just paddle and floated down stream until we got to the hotel lol.
Oh at the end? Bushkill! Those are some amazing hikes made easy for the wife! She was preggo at the time and it allowed us to easily go through and enjoy the outdoors!
Sorry I was there with a group and they basically just shove u on the Canoe and off we went. I float down to my hotel which is private. First and only time i ever went on the Delaware
Thx, I wish I could help, but I am not a local for that area. But I think PA and NJ should have website that talks about the parks. The folks who runs the Canoe company basically dropped us off at Smithville beach, which was a pay to enter park.
I was staying at the Shawnee hotel and they had a service that dropped us off somewhere upstream the Delaware River. The first park that requires a fee to enter north of the hotel. Don't know the place. Sorry... Not a local lol
Holy smokes that water was clear! Congrats on the walleye and the wifey's first fish, awesome stuff!

Great vid! Check out the clarity of that water🤤. Congrats on the walleye! First fish ever for your wife.. awesome!
thanks man! it was an epic trip. water was out of this world!
What a beautiful river!
it's freaking amazing my man!
Beautiful river, catches and scenery. Grats on the first Walleye
it is certainly the top 3 places I have ever been for fishing! thanks man!

and those river smallies fight so hard!
They certainly do man! Better than them small creeks or lake smallies
Nice!! thats definitely a beautiful area to float. Im trying to check walleye off my bucket list this year.
Thanks! Hopefully you will if you fish here!

Wowwooowowww that's what we called a 'mirror' nice place bro
super duper clear and the reflection of the sky was amazing with the mountains!

looks like a fun trip Jimmy... good idea to size down the bait
water was so crystal clear, gotta go small and natural colors :)
I fished there many times. I never caught real big smallmouth (18" plus) but those river fish fight like they think they are. Caught a lot of shad also the roe is delicious.
Oh sweet! I wanna go back but it's a bit far :p maybe when kiddo gets older and I can make more time to venture further lol
This is right in our backyard... some great water there... even better if ya know what you're lookin for! ;)
That's sweet! First time there so I just floated down the river and enjoyed the fishing, scene and the fun with the wife!
I’m moving up there in a few months from Texas. I’m so stoked to get on the river. Absolutely beautiful

I think its Smithville Beach
It seems you prove the fact a little jig works everywhere fish swim in water.
Lol I love jigs! What can i say! Btw... i got a nice reel to share with u and everyone soon... going to be epic

I had a feeling that’s what it was. I’m going 4th of July weekend. Looking forward to seeing this…and some smallies 😎
@@WILDlifeNA super! Have a great time!
Where did you launch?
A park run by the state. Gotta pay to enter, but it was covered by the hotel as it was part of the package.
Had a feeling it was the Gap
You must have a strong affinity to the gaps natural beauty!
Which part of Delaware gap is it ? Where to get on the water ?
Some paid to enter park on pa side. Near NY
Are these places wheelchair accessible and easy to fish on the bank?
Sorry I was there with a group and they basically just shove u on the Canoe and off we went. I float down to my hotel which is private. First and only time i ever went on the Delaware
