An immediate red flag at the start of Race 2 due to an incident further back down the field halted proceedings. On the restart, we again dropped back to P3 but after some quick reactions when the safety car lights were dropped, we found ourselves leading the race. Half way round the lap, the safety car flashing lights had been displayed on the digital flag system, only for these to be changed to green lights on the start line with the safety car waiting to exit the pit lane. It was a confusing scenario but the green light signalled that the race had resumed. We led the remaining laps, only to then have fuel starvation issues on the last lap which dropped us back down the order to 8th place at the flag. Fortunately the lack of fuelling had not damaged the engine. Whilst losing out on the win was a terrible feeling, we didn't feel too bad as the mess up with the safety car was the only reason we had got to the front. But as they say, if no snooze, you lose!
