Thanks! I’m a dad and we used this bow for a teacher gift. My wife is actually a master bow maker, but unfortunately she is away with her dying mother. Her name is also Shannon. Merry Christmas all.

Love your Bow. You make it look so easy. Instead of cutting it after the little center loop, I make 1 more long loop 10-12", attach the end. And just cut the long loop in half to make your tails...

This is how I do mine except, I start my bow at the end of my first tail instead of at the end of the ribbon if that makes sense. I just measure out how long I want my tail to be and then that's where I start making my loops... So at the end I don't have to cut and add the extra tail.
I want a 4-inch tail, I just pull out four inches of ribbon, and at the 4-inch mark I start making my loops.

I love it!! So easy, and who doesn't have some pipe cleaners hanging around somewhere? I would totally use the extra length on the pipe cleaners to secure the bow to garland, packaging, etc. Thanks for teaching your technique Shannon!

Thank you, I bought some ribbon on sale for the Xmas tree and was wondering how I was going to make the big bows. I would extend the tail part, fold it in half, bring it up and tie it with the pipe cleaner then cut the bottom and make the fish tail. Thought I tell.
