Martin demonstrates what it sounds and looks like when someone understands their instruments and tools. When we take time to learn and practice, creativity is given more opportunities. I cannot thank Martin enough for his leadership in the music, engineering, and creative industries.
Lol, me too. It's such a beautiful piece of music, yet he says it's just something he threw together to showcase this video, which blows my mind because it's not supposed to be that easy to make something as good as this ;?)
You know those times in life that are rare... the ones where you want time to stop and it can last forever! This song catches the essence of that very moment. Thank you for your creative mind my friend!
Wintergaten music has gotten me through some really tough times, and has become an emotional outlet. Keep up the good work martin, and can't wait for all the new music to come with the MMX
Thanks for putting this together, sounds great. I hope Martin gets back to releasing music soon. The marble machine youtube videos are not even in the same league.
SPOILER: In full episode Martin wanted to announce something rather boring. To make it more interesting he decided to add some music to it. „Have you ever heard a musical saw before?” - asked he. After that he said he needed something to play to, and just improvised such an enchanting tune that you will listen to it with tears in your eyes… Well, it brings me to tears every time...
yeaaahhh - - - -MARTIN ! - - - THIS IS REALY GREAT MUSIC - - - -AWESOME ! - - - - - SOUNDS A LITTLE BIT LIKE "TUBULAR BELLS" - - (MIEK OLDFIELD) - - - - - - THIS KIND OF COMPOSING I WISH TO HEAR MORE - - - THANKS A LOT !
You may think that it is a compliment, but it completely disregards the amount of time he spent practicing on all of those instruments and learning how music works. Yes, he is gifted for being able to achieve this. Not many can do it even if they put all their time into it. But at the same time it doesn't matter how gifted someone is, if they don't put in a lot of effort they will never achieve this skill level.
Oh man, now I have to go check if the PSS-270 (toy version of that 370 - no editable anything, only preprogrammed patches) I have in my parent's attic is still working. Not that I have a musical bone in my body :( . Also very surprised by the saw, but that's why I love Martin's work!
How am I hearing this for the first time?! I really like this and will listen to it a lot. I'm on the first run through and it's really coming on at 2:30 -3:00 mins. Thankyou so much
Martin IS a MARTIAN! Out of this world brother... Expressively Stellar!! Hey, how about some "Wintergatan MM-X Bumper Stickers with your TH-cam channel address printed on them?!? Now wouldn't that be grand? We're ALL behind you Martian... 🙁 LOL...😄 I mean Martin 😊 We believe in you and we believe MM-X ❗❗We ALL got your back Maestro!!. So, keep your head up..! You'll get it!! 🤠
Martin is one of my favourite individuals on this planet.
Agree 100%
Absolutely!
He certainly is in credit to our species.
Same!
yes. his musical reach is really something else. I cant wait for the mmx to be complete so he can get back to making more music.
Martin demonstrates what it sounds and looks like when someone understands their instruments and tools. When we take time to learn and practice, creativity is given more opportunities. I cannot thank Martin enough for his leadership in the music, engineering, and creative industries.
So freaking impressive how he can do that in such a short time with that quality playing all the instruments himself. true inspiration.
Benjamin Feldtmann and even more. IT WAS IMPROVISED!!!

You know those times in life that are rare... the ones where you want time to stop and it can last forever! This song catches the essence of that very moment. Thank you for your creative mind my friend!
That perfectly describes my feeling every time I listen to this track - and most of all other Wintergatan songs.
"Fiddles wouldn't last long in the hot and dry climate of the Wild West, so sawblades were played instead..."
Wintergaten music has gotten me through some really tough times, and has become an emotional outlet. Keep up the good work martin, and can't wait for all the new music to come with the MMX
I can never get enough of this song. I've listened to it at least 100 times. So beautiful!!
Me too. This song is really amazing
My ears after I heard that melodey over 1000 times: "I recognize that voice it's..."
Me: "yeh, the sound of heaven again"
"So what Instruments do you play?

"I play the wood saw"
This is still my favorite Wintergatan song, hands down. I've listened to it so many times. So beautiful.

Feel you there, sir.

Thanks for putting this together, sounds great.
I hope Martin gets back to releasing music soon. The marble machine youtube videos are not even in the same league.

I was going to do this my self so I could listen to it without commentary in the back ground. Thanks ;-)

Martin, is your saw semi-acoustic?
I mean, I know it's not electric.
Electric saws are dangerous.

The singing saw is actally entirely acoustic

Temazo!! Me encanta tu movimiento de sierra. Da un toque muy macabro a la pieza. Bravo!!
you're amazing! so inspiring!
Always nice for the band to get together and play a great song. That way Martin doesn't have to play all a-clone.
This is the definition of Gifted.

Great! Thank you!
The harp part is perfect for a ringtone or alarm, maybe even better if the guitar and keyboard isn't there but still a masterpiece.
non ho parole ... meraviglioso!
Круто! Парень, ты просто молодец! И музыка у тебя тёплая, живая, ламповая. Эта мелодия подошла бы к какой нибудь восьмибитной аркаде! Лайк однозначно!
Wow so many instruments

I miss the MMX Time...
Same here, brother. The balance of musical expression and ingenuity helped me during a heavy season. This song, in particular, is an encouragement.
Quite amazing!
What a perfect song
I miss these days. He doesn't do this type of stuff anymore.
This is really helpful thanks.
One of the best i ever heard
This reminds me so much of the raw beauty of Royksopp.
him and jacob collier should do a collab. they can play a whole orchestra together.
the saw is magical!
