From my incredibly unscientific tests of hitting the opponent 100 times with a cr.HP in Street Fighter 2. The results were 40 Coffee, 28 Fanta and 32 Nothing. I imagine that if you scaled that up it would probably equal out at about 33/34 each. Leading me to believe that there's an equal chance for any of the 3 things to occur.

And the beautiful thing is (just using the opening Zangief vs Blanka illustration), when you look at the hurtbox area the crouching punch is actually connecting with,. Zangief is able to make Blanka puke by punching him in the face.
The physiological technical accuracy here, is truly remarkable.

Vega vomiting from his mask was always funny to me as a kid playing SF in the 90s.
Urien's makes me sad for him. Defeat is so immense for him that he is driven to self harm. One of the most intense characters in Street Fighter series.

Back in the old arcade days, Dinosaurs and Cadillacs was one of the most famous games here where I live and we used to call that green monster "Blanka" as they look similar. Both of them were some of the most hated characters in games lol.

@@johndewberryiii9925 Darkstalkers changes a lot by region and if the censored dipswitch is on or off, in Darkstalkers 3/ Vampire Savior EX moves that involve evisceration will turn into outright fatalities if you finish a match with them, for example Talbain/Gallon's moment slice ex will end with the opponent cut right down the middle.

@@turxa yeah for me personally that game was kinda hard I think i only beat it once or twice but I was in my early 20s then so that was about 7 to 10 years ago it took me years to actually beat it

Anyway, there’s no blood, that automatically makes the censored version less violent according to the devs.
@@malcovich_games Funny cos games seem to be more censored in Japan now compared to other countries. Like they're not allowed to show decapitation in Resident Evil games anymore, and Mortal Kombat just doesn't get released as far as I know.

Though the D.Dark grab was pretty rad uncensored, I gotta say, making it into an exploding throat slit as the censorship that sets them ablaze is probably WAY more violent, and honestly an improvement? Makes him more unique, just that added bit of flair that makes him stand out from other assassins. Like, exploding fire throat slit is an oxymoron when it comes to stealth but I love it
It was supposed to be him shoving a bomb down his victim's throat which is equally disturbing but I guess, no blood = safe for kids. Yay!
Maybe those Blankas in the Cadillac & Dinosaurs game were just clones. Also, that Urien timeout at the end looked so much more epic with the blood, one of the best timeout postures I've ever seen.

the US was a very different place in regards to game censorship back then, and even though Mortal Kombat came from here they censored that too on consoles (arcades were kinda the wild west). The SNES version had all the blood removed, which kinda got rid of the entire reason a lot of people played the game haha. Even the Genesis version only allowed blood via a cheat code. It was games like MK that really fired up the censorship talks and jumpstarted the creation of the ESRB. Where there's censorship, there will be people trying to turn it on its head, so it makes perfect sense that games like MK, Time Killers, etc. came from here in an age where games were actively getting censored when coming over from Japan.
👍🏼I love these comparisons, it's always very interesting. In Mortal Kombat 2 for the SNES they did blood censorship the opposite way: Green blood in Japan and red blood everywhere else...

Dude I highly appreciate your channel and love all the content. I grew up on capcom games. For more then a decade now I would I been playing capcom games. I owned almost all the console titles. I also emulated alot of the games that weren't available here or just classic gems.
Me and my friends were all capcom nerds. We already do stuff like this in real life. Like I remember we were first playing SFV at my friends house I pointed out that the beach stage has the rival school girls in the background and we all went nuts.
Easter eggs always made us go crazy especially when they give you hopes of upcoming games or content like a next gen rival schools or final fight.
The fact that you made a whole channel that points these things out and with great detail it's just amazing to me. I can't put into words how much as a fan that I appreciate your work. Keep up the good work! I'm always sharing your channel

I think it was meant to reference the practice of "blading" among wrestlers (preparing the skin to bleed in a certain spot for show).
@@MattiaBulgarelli I've heard both explanations, and they both make sense given Zangief's character, but I also like to believe it's a reference to blading. Blading isn't really a "preparation" thing though; they literally just use a razor to slice their forehead (there are a lot of blood vessels there so it can bleed a good amount quickly) when they want to bleed (or "get color" as they say in the business haha).

In all honesty, ide say Hollywood is even worse because of the amount of sex, drugs, misinformation and political brainwashing in addition to the amount of gore and violence they fit in. Difference is movies have to be paid for and at least has age restrictions to prevent kids from watching certain films. What's in public TV on the otherhand is shocking. Public television is trash. Rarely has anything worthwhile and even kids shows have been pushing limits.

Great! Somehow in animations and games certain details that produce empathy, repulses affliction, combined or separate. Anyway, this makes the work more fluid, alive, human. Something very clean somehow generates a valley of strangeness.
