Pop singer So-hyang completed an all-time performance with world-renowned producer David Foster in his performance celebrating the 30th anniversary of Blue Note.
At a concert held in Blue Note, Tokyo, Japan from November 30 to December 3, Sohyang won MBC's 'I Am a Singer' program and won a number of hits including 'I Have Nothing,' 'Oh Holly Night,' 'Bridge over Trooved Water,' 'I Will Always Love You' and 'Stevever.'
In particular, the concert was the first Korean artist to be invited to the concert, and Brian McKnight also participated in the concert to complete an all-time collaboration, which was not easy to see, and the audience went wild every time, causing another sensation in Japan with standing ovations and cheers.
David Foster, who performed with Sohyang on the day, said, I really wanted to meet her and I was happy to be able to perform with her. The first time Oprah Winfrey got to know the story, she had an amazing singer. Introduce me to Sohyang's "I have Nothing" on TH-cam for the first time, and I listened to all the songs of Sohyang for a long time to meet So-hyang. Sohyang is one of the best divas I've ever met. The voice was so beautiful, so overwhelming, so touching and amazing. "I want to work with you again in the future."
Sohyang has been active since being considered as an irreplaceable singer through the 2017 Mask King, and this year, he was praised both at home and abroad for decorating the opening finale with world-class soprano Jo Su-mi at the Pyeongchang Paralympics. Recently, he participated in several drama OSTs and has come to the public in a variety of ways, and released international bands DNCE Jinju and 'Your Song' last May.

Awesome reaction to this one....The big open mouth with the tongue flat is how we all are when she sings...lol So Hyang.... the "Mix Master"...lol One guy who reacted to her rap song, which is rap/singing, was done so quickly, and he was just shocked at her precision on hitting those notes as fast as she was singing them, and he called her a VOCAL Technician. Now this is just my opinion, and I am not a singer, but have been a musician for most of my life, I am 57 and again in my opinion, and due to her super technicality, she is the best female vocalist on the planet. She is not just a singer. She has been very well trained, and has put in the hours and years to be as perfect as possible. There are many other great singers and a few VOCALISTS, but to me, she is just beyond awesome. One other I am a huge fan of, and mainly due to her tone, is Lara Fabian. Both of these women put loads of emotion in each and every performance like they are living it and telling you the story as if each song was written about them and for them. I never realized until last week, but just found out that Lara Fabian wrote the song Broken Vow, which everyone who is anyone sings this song.
Oh, and I am glad to see more than one Vocal Coach who reacts that actual shows they can sing also, and explain in detail what the singer is doing. You are the second one I have found that I like for these reasons.

Ah....it's a double thrill to watch your reaction to Sohyang's rendition of O Holy Night. It's always a thrill to watch this O Holy Night from Sohyang but your reaction gave me another layer of thrill. Love your excitement (appreciation) of Sohyang's arrangement and the attention to how the voice supports the message of the song. It's also fun to see you pick up the details on transition and the impact of the performance. I repeat myself every time I comment on this performance. I just love how Sohyang delivers the sense of serenity and peace in the first verse. Then she dials up a notch and the song becomes the wholehearted praise to her Creator in Heavens. The difference between what Mori and So does with this song is important. Mori went "look what i can (almost) do", while So changed the song to make it fit her, and what she wanted to express. Mori needs to be brave enough to do way more of the same.

@@marksuno4949 I think the same as him. Even Beth might think alike, and she said something very important: that all the riffs came from emotion rather than just showing off. And it is that in reality her interpretations are an adventure of emotions through which she guides you through her interpretation, technique and precise ornaments of her. And also I understand that Sohyang can also do the 'whistle', but he does not use it in general (not only for this song) because she does not see it as aesthetic. But as you say, it is also a matter of taste ... they are both spectacular singers.

Omg i was literally blown away with this performance but then again it's So Hyang was is to be expected from one of the worlds greatest singer out there in our time. I love her so much as she sings so gloriously wonderful. Thank you for introducing me to this version of "O Holy Night." Amazing! It is by far my favorite Christmas song and among my favorite songs of all time regardless of type. If you love the song too, I think you should check out the version by the band Third Day. It's still my favorite. I love the earthiness and emotion in it. But this is a close second!
