To obtain Argentina's Rentista visa, you need an income of about $1,200 a month. Argentina taxes its residents on their worldwide income, including if they don't live in the country throughout the entire year.
Argentina has double tax treaties with several countries in the Americas and Europe, which avoids double taxation.
Argentina's Rentista visa is one of the easiest second residence permits in the world and a gateway for those looking for a new life in Latin America.

It is my understanding that, although the USA does not have a treaty with Argentina regarding taxes, USA citizens can file a Form 1116 (Foreign Tax Credit) when filing taxes, which is a dollar-for-dollar tax deduction on US taxes for each dollar Argetina charges. It was specifically designed to prevent double-taxation. The USA also does NOT tax Argentinian income under $120,000 (Foreign Earned Income Exclusion). There are also partial tax write-offs for housing, rent, utilities, and insurance for US citizens living abroad (Foreign Housing Exclusion). I don't think the double-taxation with US citizens living in Argentina is as scary as you portray. Correct?? It should not prevent US citizens from moving to Argentina.
dang, really wanted to try BA and Argentina, but no double taxation treaty with USA atm is really a tough break.
Javier Milei is the only reason I am watching this. Thanks.
Can you elaborate further? Thanks.
Exactly. Same.
He great
No double taxation treaty with the USA?
If comparing the costs between Buenos Aires Argentina to Asuncion Paraguay - is one city clearly cheaper than the other one regarding cost of living (especially looking at rental costs and food)? Or are they both similarly priced? thanks!
It completely depends on the neighborhood you're looking to live in. The cost of living is similar in Asuncion and Buenos Aires; there is not much of a difference.
Does Argentina tax retirement income? I am a resident of Colombia where they do tax world-wide income but not Social Security retirement income if it is the ONLY source of income. I ask becaue the Rentista visa seems to be for all types of income.
No wonder very few - to none - US expats are in Argentina !!! --- $ is perhaps not the right place for a retired US expat on SS - looking for a very low cost retirement destination ?!? -- A financially friendly and a cheap easy visa requirement to allow for a - '''very cheap''' - overall retirement ? Like S E Asia / Philippines - Cambodia......??????
Can you make a video about moving to the country of TEXAS?

You can theoretically apply for a passport after 2 years of "full-time resideny" (is that 6 months +1 day per year?)but the thing that swayed me away from it was that after 12 cumulative months of Arg res, you are req'd to pay wealth tax on your total assets IIRC. Do you know of any ways to get the passport without making Argentina your perm home and without triggering this wealth tax?
You can get an Argentinian passport, without living in Argentina, if one of your parents has an Argentinian passport.
Argentina requires residents to live in the country most of the time.
@@NomadElite What is the timelines for residency & citizenship by marriage in Argentina? Is that immediate or is there any time frame for it.
@@Ramesh_CN
You can apply for citizenship immediately if your have a Argentine spouse
is there any more details on what the proof of income can exactly be? if someone has money in crypto is there a way to convert that into one of those options? thank you.
Roughly $1,200/month right now
Good video. You mentioned that for residency a person would need the equivalent of a minimum monthly wage of an Argentian - and that would not be increased even for a couple. Do you know approximately how much that is at the moment? And what was Argentina like during the pandemic? Were vaccines manditory or was it voluntary? thanks.
To qualify for the Rentista visa, you're looking at roughly $1,200 in monthly income. The same holds true for couples. You may need more income if you show up with a large family.
How to get in touch with you ?

What's about hunting in Argentina and gun ownership

The New President of Argentina is a Libertarian and will ABOLISH most Taxes so please do not Discredit Argentina just Because You Want To SELL Paraguay!!
We're backing both countries, and the video is based on the current tax laws. Whatever will happen in the future will happen.
Look at the inflation 😂
Do they allow you to renounce as yet?
Argentina citizenship cannot be renounced. Perhaps legislation will change, but that's the rule right now.
Is it expensive now or still cheap like 12 month ahonheqrd prcies go up

“When you hear Argentina you think about” the people who moved there in 1945 💀😂
Lots of Germans went to Argentina during that time!
There were already a lot of German and Swiss immigrants in Argentina well before WW2. Bariloche was already a beautiful, Swiss-looking, chocolate-making enclave before any bad guys showed up!
The good guys left.
Argentina only equals maradona and the hand of God - Mexico World Cup 1986!!!!!!!!
