- How To Permanently Rotate A PDF File
This is a video tutorial on how to permanently rotate a pdf using Adobe DC but it should work similarly in other readers.
1. Open the pdf that you intend to rotate in Adobe DC.
2. Select "Organize Pages" from the right side pane.
3. Select the page you want to rotate and click the rotate button at the top of the screen.
4. Go to the "File" tab and click "Save".

This only seems to save the behaviour for how Adobe will read the file. If you attempt to view the .pdf in a browser, it will remain in its original orientation.

Thanks a lot. Greetings from Kurdistan! Just a note, if the pages are the same directions and you want to rotate them all together, you can select them all and rotate them in one click.

Adobe seems to have a stranglehold on all documents. There were plenty of options before Adobe came along and monopolized everything.
Now, EVERYONE has to pay Adobe for doing very simple things.
Adobe invented and owns the PDF format unfortunately. People should ditch it completely and use the better open source format. It's crazy that you have to pay to rotate a pdf, unbelievable.
I have files with hundreds of pages. How do you rotate the whole file instead of doing one page at a time? Thank you.

99% of people who have this question want to know how to accomplish this with Reader…I assumed that u know that considering the number of times you emphasized specifically not saying “reader” lol
I haven't even thought of the words "Acrobat Reader" in over a decade. Same as I don't say "Acrobat X" or "Acrobat XI", etc. (I don't even pay attention to what version they are on each year). It's just "Acrobat" to me. I'm guessing the same goes for "No Rest for the Wicked".
Perhaps his leaving out "Reader" is more like an Apple person being totally oblivious to a world of options that exist outside of iPhone-worse yet, not realizing they are in the vast minority. 🤷♂
