      @@peterducodil9890 People with NO design skill should not try to improve on a fabulously designed car like that. The big surprise is going to be when he tries to sell it. I'd love to be there when he finds out it was worth more before he touched it.

    Not the route I would have taken, but it's not my car. I'm not a big fan of the color choices. I would have liked to hear it run, but since it has a modern V8... Wouldn't have been all that special anyways. Hope you enjoy it. You did a LOT of work.

    I saw videos 1 and 2. This car was more beautiful before they put their paws on it. Only two things make sense to each other: the result of "restoration" and the background music.

    I had one. Got it from the Hells Angles for 60 dollars. It was sitting under an oak tree for years.put a 235 str8 6..did the interior mohair..bought a new set of wide white tires, installed the vac assist shift..(3 on the tree).You could put your right arm around your girl and shift with your index finger on your left hand, it was so smooth !Painted in with rattle cans..satin black...Laid hella pipe in that bomb!It never let me down.OK..this was in 1977..had her until 1984..Letting her go was one of many regrets in my life.We called her.."Old Cal" ! I hope she didn't end up like the car in this video,Oh God No !

      Anyone can butcher a car. It takes someone with good taste to restore one. This thing is nauseating.

  • @charliehill995
    @charliehill995 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    I think your definition of restoration may differ from by a large margin. I go for originality as much as feasibly possible. Currently have a two 1941 Chevrolets Special Deluxe cars. One is a Cabriolet and a 5 passenger coupe. Both original. Nonetheless, that 1947 is yours to do with whatever you please. Good luck with it and thanks for the video.

    Para mí el valor d un carro está en : 1ro ser dueño original, 2do mantener al máximo sus partes originales sin cambiarlas salvó excepciones. Es decir bujías, platinos etc.

    I think you did a great job and it's a shame that some people can't see past the tip of their own noses and look at this car in the positive light that it should be looked at. I really doesn't matter how you went about doing YOUR car. The fact remains that whatever you spent on that car is money wll spent. Now you have a modern, up to date car with all of the nostalgia of the old car. You get to enjoy both worlds and it probably didn't cost you $25K to have such a great car you will be able to enjoy for a very long time. Same thing I would have done if it was me making the decisions. Good job, maybe we will get to see this thing run, what do you say?

    I'm reading a lot of hate comments here. Why, because the guy didn't do it the way you would have done it? Can you imagine if everyone in the entire world did everything the exact same way? It would be a boring world. Thankfully we all have unique personalities and likes and dislikes which makes the world more interesting.
    Ok, it's not your style, it's not what you would have done, and it's OK, nothing wrong with that. But to bash someone's hard work and their vision because it's not what YOU would have done is very ignorant and shows you have no class. I was brought up that if you don't have anything nice to say, then don't say anything at all. But in today's modern society there are millions of arm chair commandos.
    My opinion of the car. I would have done a few things different, but, maybe the owner hasn't totally finished it, so there is that. Although not a restoration, it was nicely done. A lot of work and hours went into this build and I'm sure a chunk of money also. I like the color combination. My hat is off to the owner.
    Haters are going to hate no matter what.

    Nice work. Not my taste. Put a heck of a lot of time and money into it. Scratching my head on the inspiration for the low tide look, unless you only want to display it only at car shows or parades where or how you gonna drive it?

      Please, NO! One totally screwed up POS eyesore that COULD HAVE BEEN a beautifully restored classic! Don't let him get near anything else. This thing is so hideous that he could park it anywhere on the streets of Harlem and it would never get touched much less stripped.
