We ate some seriously delicious food in todays video - let us know which was your favourite food. Do you like to try new foods when you travel or do you play it safe ?? Sorry if we made you hungry C&M xx
You definitely got me craving some Mexican food now! Yes, we love trying new foods when we travel! That’s the best part of traveling! Stay safe out there!💜
We were in San Jose Del Cabo about 18 years ago and really liked it. Also did a tequila tasting and I remember being blown away by the different kinds and the really good ones tasting like liquid gold! Lovely to see all the yummy food!
True, authentic Mexican food is fantastic! My first wife and I honeymooned in Mazatlan. When we weren't shoveling street food down, there was a place where you could order fresh shrimp by the kilo. The shrimp came chilled on a bed of ice with a large assortment of dipping sauces from mild to wild. And the waiters came around every 10 minutes or so with free tequila poppers. They like to get us gringos a little tipsey which results in us leaving good tips. Lol The service in Mexico is truly exceptional. One thing I like about the authentic food is it doesn't come smothered in sour cream like here in the states.
You guys make me so hungry every time you go for food 😋 absolutely loving the show. Come on guys smash that like make sure she's got 1000 likes and more it's an amazing show funny
Chilaquiles are really a great breakfast, especially with salsa verde. Eggs over easy on top and a portion of carnitas on the side. I've been in Cabo a few times. Will have to check out this restaurant on our next trip. Mexican dairy products were a revelation to me the first time we went to Mexico. There is also very good sushi in Cabo San Lucas, which makes sense because it is a huge sport fishing town.
I really do think Mexicans make the best beans in the world. Never had any beans better than borracho beans, refried beans, charro beans... so delicious!
Great video! I had to stop and go back a few times to salivate over the food. Mexican is my favorite cuisine in the entire world!!! Thanks for showing off some great spots in Baja!
Tacos Al Pastor is a favorite of mine. Also flavors of helados that are often popular is Coco, Fresia and Sandia. Be careful when you order some flavors they add spicy powder or sauce called Chamoy. The kids like the Mangonadas. But this is a very learned taste, I noticed that you like many Brits don’t like spicy. I love hot sauces but this is a flavor I don’t do. Trust me. That brand of ice cream bars are found in many different grocery stores especially along the border states. Here in San Antonio they have places that their own which are fantastic and I’m sure that you can find them in California and in Arizona. Same thing with NM but it is narrow with very few towns on Interstate 10 that you have an easier time getting it in Arizona
Don’t be afraid to buy things from the old guy pushing around a cart of food and ice creams. It has been something that happens in Hispanic cultures, you don’t see it much anymore. However even here in Texas the ice cream truck is a gathering place for parents and kids
Sauces, dips, salsas and relishes! I absolutely love the variety of accoutrements supporting Mexican food. Diversity is the spice of life! Your joy of travel and adventure exudes from the screen! 😊 🌮
Loved this video, getting back the vibes of when you were travelling around Turkey and East Europe. While scenery is nice, I love to see the shopping, eating and the people. Maybe it's down to being where so much to see and do without miles of travelling in-between. Savouring the moments.
Shouldn't have watched this before I had breakfast 😂 Those taco's looked incredible. In fact all of it looked amazing! Saving this for when we make it down there. Marianne with the tequila shots 😂And lots of guacamole Chris! 🥑🎵
❤️❤️❤️🇹🇷🇹🇷🇹🇷🇹🇷🇹🇷🇹🇷❤️❤️❤️
My heart almost broke when I heard the two of you describing that these were the first margaritas or tamales of your live's, at age 55. But then I took joy at the fact that you finally got them, and have plenty of time to have more. Enjoy!😍
when i was growing up in norcalifornia there were men riding bikes with little white coolers on the front or walking pushing coolers with that exact brand of ice cream being sold. It is the best ice cream. now i live in Missouri and there are no one selling the ice cream. I miss that icecream in the summer.
Loved chilaquiles when I was in Mexico many years ago. Yours look different though. Mine were more like what I would now think of as similar to a shakshuka - a warm tomato-y slightly spicy salsa with Tortilla pieces in it, poached egg and cheese on top.
At 6:11, the place appears to have skeleton staff. As for the shop with lots of lights, it'll be somewhere to have a light lunch. I definitely recommend trying Mexican food...bean and done it before
You guys are amazing ! I like how you make “normal” things looks interesting, I really enjoy every single video from you, it was a pleasure to meet you, I hope to see you in the future for share more Tequila 🎉😊❤
Hello Friends . . what a yummy 😋 adventure this was . . Chris tf trying all those "hot spicy" varieties of salsas have a wonderful day take care and continued safe travels 👣❤️🙋♀️
That was an amazing day of lovely food.....We do love our Mexican food here also...so now are very hungry...And those Türkiye Lights are beautiful, we have collected about 5 so far to put into a new house we are building and still looking for more... Take care you two
I have just discovered your channel and I am loving your trip to Baja . Most of the videos from travelers I have seen focus on the beaches.I love your walks though towns and restaurant's you take us right to the meat if you will the heart and soul of the city you are in. I have subscribed and and keeping up with your travels .You take me where I will never go thank you !
Congratulations Amigos, you know very well how to enjoy the life, Mexican food is delicious but Be careful with hot sauces, always try them with a "totopo" or "nacho" but not direct. Afterwards you will miss the Mexican sauces, because they are adictive, here in Ensenada I have an English friend who eats more chili than me, and I am Mexican! Keep enjoying those amazing places!
LoL what you eat for breakfast would be a dinner for us 😁 Amazing video, love it!! I am a big fan of churros dipped in thick hot chocolate, since I grew up in Spain ❤️
To be totally honest it took me a while to get used to the Mexican cuisine. I could not do the heat!!! Everything it's hot spicy!! But now you couldn't keep me away from it. It's just a matter of learning the sauces and telling which one is which. You guys inspired me to cook some chicken quesadillas today for dinner 😋 PS: Marianne, Margarita on the rocks is always much straight forward. I would recommend the slushy one. Much bueno🍹😉
Great tip !! Yep, I struggle with spicy but I have learned enough words to ask which is spicy 😂😂😂😂 - we cook loads of Quesadillas in the van - it is easy van life food !! I will check out the slushy ones .. thanks for the tip 💕🙌
That didn't look like a typical tamale next time get one that's been cooked in corn husks and Mary Ann should try a strawberry margarita. Another great video!!
Oh man, I can literally taste all the different dishes you've tried and my mouth is watering. Since I find that San Jose Del Cabo and Cabo San Lucas even more are very touristy, I don't go there a lot, but it does have a nice vibe. The only dish I was not quite sure of was, if I heard correctly de Taco Macho. I had that once but was not told what the Macho part actually is beforehand. After some prodding I was told that it's from the sticky bit from the bull's anatomy.... I had that in Guadalajara and hadn't seen it in Baja, but since Baja attracts a lot of people from the Mexican mainland to start restaurants, it is certainly possible. But if you enjoyed it, that's all that matter. I found it to taste quite a bit like liver and I'm not a big fan of that. Ok, I'm hungry now.... With regards to the question of why Mexican cheeses are not more famous, I think it is because all or at least most of them are being used as part of a dish. You don't really see them used as-is (like on a charcuterie board or something), like you would a Gouda, a Brie, a Cheddar (not the processed american stuff). So you never really taste a Mexican cheese by itself, but always integrated in the dish. For me, the ones I've tried by themself are either rather bland or very salty. They work in a dish, not so much as a snack.
Panella seared and topped with onion jam and chili will change your like And cotija cheese on anything. But yea, agreed Mexican cheese is on point! And everyone just knows “queso” but there’s soooo much
Wow the food looked so good 😋. What a lovely wee town so colourful !!!! Mmmm homemade ice cream gotta be good 👌 Nothing quite like a few freebie tequilas 🤪 You guys have had me drooling all the way through this video 🤤🤤🫶

Good question! Yep always stick to busy places and ask the bar staff if the ice is made with potable water 👍 And brush your teeth with bottled water !! M 🌺
I am willing to try different foods. Just never been a Mexican or Southwest food fan (I live in Arizona). It's not all bad it's just not my favorite. Sign me up for a Doner Kebab in downtown Berlin Germany! I will take that over a currywurst any day! I do love some German food though! Love Chinese, Korean and Japanese food also. I loved spending time in Europe!
Hello Ambassadors Yes, the food looked delicious. That kebab ( doner) must be inherited from TURKIYE ( at least there is great chance). MARIANNE 's face after that drink was so funny not the tekila but the one she was saying " I don't know why I did not have this drink until I was 55". That is worth of seeing.😋 Guys, again a great video. Not to bring the earthquake in TURKIYE but have you ran into people in that community or media that they were talking about it? Hi Nick - as we live on the road we only see online news and generally stick to 2-3 English speaking ones - but we have asked locals and they have seen it on the news - but it seems to have stopped over here now 😢💔 But the people we meet are heartbroken for all of the loss and their prayers with our are going to all those affected 🙏🌺

Apart from the tamale`s, none of that was actually mexican street food. We are avid travellers and have toured Mexico on motorcycles many times. Buying from street vendors in non touristy towns is what i consider street food and less than half of what you were paying. Coffee for $4.00 ????
National Guard , serve all of Mexico. No more Federal police. The cream used in Mexico is medi crema. Delicioso. Buy some for in the van when you cook.!!!
I wanted to be sarcastic but it’s obvious that this is your first trip to Mexico and so many things that are completely obvious to me are just all new experiences to you two.
"Mexican cheese is really good!" The funny thing is that even here in Southern California, real Mexican cheese has not been a thing for most of my life. It is only relatively recently that a few of them have become more common here. Most first-generation Mexican-Americans I know (and even some Mexican immigrants) tend to use what is sold as "Mexican cheese blend," which isn't Mexican at all. It is cheddar and Monterey Jack. Note that is Monterey, as in California, not Monterrey, which is in Mexico. It is a California cheese. I believe that the skulls on the lighted street banners relate to the way the Mexicans honor their ancestors, most notably on El Dia de los Muertos (The Day of the Dead), when people paint their faces like skulls.
To celebrate the passing of the dead to the afterlife. In Mexico, they have a holiday, Dia de los Muertas, "The Day of the Dead", where they remember those loved ones who have passed on.
I have to laugh. Another channel us heading to Mexico and several oeople have commented "NO! Never go to mexico it is way too dangerous." Such a joke. The only thing you are in danger of is overeating. Haha. I told them to check out your trip.
