The First generation XF facelift 2012-2015 is Gorgeous, this obviously is a base 2.0t and while still nice, the higher trim and the Portfolio's are stunning, especially with the sport appearance pack. I had a 2012 5.0 V8 non supercharged and it was fairly reliable, and quick, they still look modern to this day.
Had a 2014 XF 2.2D for a few days as a courtesy car, and the ride is absolutely what you'd expect from a Jaguar sedan. Very smooth acceleration and shifting from the 8-speed ZF automatic. Doesn't feel that big when you drive it, but definitely noticed the size when I parked it in my usual space at work.
Haha thanks man!! It's my first review, hopefully next one will live up to your expectations! I think so but I'm not sure. I should try a burn out to find out lol.
I am 35 and I have a 2011 xf 5.0. And people my age and younger tell me pretty much everyday they love my car. Because it doesn’t look like a old man car. The car has more power then most people need. I think I will be getting a 2015 this weekend cuz I do not like what they did with it in 16.

I like your tone and vibe in this vid. The only thing that seems to be desired from me out of these v6 xfs is the engine sound and exhaust sound. The 2012 xf was the last year of the base car having a 5.0 , thats the one im gonna get here in a couple weeks!
i ended up getting a 2012 xf (5.0) by the way and the exhaust overall is pretty quiet, but i guess thats expected this is a luxury sedan afterall. The pickup from the naturally aspirated 5.0 v8 is really nice though i can hardly even use its power since it gets to 60 pretty darn quick for a sedan that weighs 4k pounds
Hey Renaldo, did you get your XF?I test drove the 5.0 Supercharged version in the M/E where I work, by Thunder it was fast for such a big car, but it really didn't sound that much louder than my V6 inside, but that V8 Growl was like having a dirty girlfriend!
I liked the review, but I am a little curious.I never saw you put the car in Dynamic Mode, or Select Sport mode from the gear selector. It looked as though you tried turning the Gear Mode Dial without depressing it to engage Sport.Had you done this you might have discovered stiffening of the suspension, steering and immediate throttle response making the car feel far more aggressive in acceleration and much more dynamic feel to the handling. The missing "Sportiness" you referred to!I've had the same model as tested now for some months, it's a great car to live with as long as you realise that Supercharger makes this a very thirsty cat!
No body roll in my Jaguar XF - but mine is UK spec and the USA always get a softer suspension based on old stereotypes from the 80's and 90's - it's a pity, because the car performs like an Astin Martin on the twisty bits with the Euro suspension settings.
...when we pull up in the subaru, they say "hey kid, nice ride mom and dad got you." When we pull up in the range rover, they say "hey kid, do your parents know you got their car?"... all in fun. Lol nice review!
I really like the review! I liked the attention to detail and the insight about the social status! one thing I that I thought could've been better (which only comes up a couple times) is the word choice. other than that a really good review!😀

A lot of body roll? How the hell do you drive it? I've never, ever seen another reviewer or owner complain about body roll, or even mention it. I don't get it in mine any more than any other car I've had, in fact the handling is one of it's best aspects. I don't get that you're complaining about people's perception of you based on the car you drive (around the 5:30 mark) yet you did exactly the same thing yourself early in the video - "this car is not meant to be driven by younger people like us, a lot of older people drive this car", which is complete nonsense, that's just your own perception - it's for anybody who wants it.

As for your experience with the car being based on other factors, I don't have a clue what your mean - your experience of the car should be based on driving it and your time with it, nothing else, and nobody should need to watch any more of your videos to have an opinion on this one. Bottom line is if you're making videos and want likes from the public, you're going to have to get used to the idea that not everyone is going to like them or agree with your opinions and take the rough with the smooth.
