Ty so much doctor Lucinda for the amazing information. I graduated from Ovidius university in Constanta, Romania. I just want to confirm that you only did german level B2 & Fachsprachprüfung, correct? So you didn't do an internship or Kenntnisprüfung or any equivalency examination? I would appreciate your assistance doctor. Thank you. ❤
Hi dr luci! Thanks for the video it was very informative. I do have a couple of questions 🙏🏽 1. Can you please do a video on the pathway for people who studied in nigeria (non eu country) 2. Can i please get recommendation for those institutions that prepare you for - fsp preparations (the language one ) - kp preparations (the medical knowledge exams) 3. Experience with applying for residency programs and tips if you have any 4. Permanent residency prospects pre or post licensing Thank you so much for your help .
Hi Princess, your questions have been noted. Regarding possible schools you can check these out. I know a few people who attended classes there www.medisim.com/ lanes-germany.com/en/
Thanks a lot for sharing this.. Keep it up.. Please, about translation of documents by sworn translators in Germany, how can one do it while still in Nigeria? It's pretty hard finding videos specific to African medical graduates going to Germany for residency.. That said, I'd love to see you do a video directed to Nigerian medical graduates aiming to practice in Germany. Thanks once again
Nice video Doc! I’m in my final year of medical school in the Philippines and planning for language course in Germany next year plus my bf is German… Do I need to do internship here before leaving or? Because here in the Philippines we do 1 year of clinical clerkship before graduation. Ty
Hello, Good Day. I got an email from German embassy in Lagos to confirm that I'm still interested in applying for a visa for language course. Please i would like to know things to prepare and keep handy. This is to avoid missing out documents whenever they fianlly give me an appointment. Thank you
Hi Lucy. I have a question. You said that you were on a language visa and you started your language course in 1st March 2019. And you sat FSP exam in April 2020. That means you’d stayed in Germany for more than 12 months. As far as I’m aware, the language visa doesn’t allow people students to stay more than 12 months or convert it to a different type of visa. Can you explain this to me please? Thank you
Thank you so much for this video I am a dental medical student in Cameroon and I've always loved to do my residency in Germany can I get an advise from you please
Thank you for such a detailed video 👍🏻 I would really like to know your experience regarding residency in Germany especially being a Non - German since residency is all about learning. Is it easy for you now to learn now medical concepts in german ? Do you study medical books in german or English ?
Hi, residency so far is going ok. I'm still learning but it gets better by the day. I read mostly in German because it helps me retain the terminologies better, which is helpful whenever I need to explain certain things to my patients.
Hi Dear ❤thank you for all this useful information 🌹 I have question after graduation do we need to be registered in our country or we can directly go to Germany?
Thank you for this great detailed video! When you get your temporary license which is valid for 2 years for someone who studied in a non-eu country, do you start working in a specialty of your choice (residency program of your choice) for example obstetrics and gynecology ??
You are welcome. Yes, you can start working in any specialty of your choice with the temporary licence but the years spent working with the temporary licence isn't counted as part of your specialisation. The years start counting as soon as you get the permanent licence.
Pls i would love to ask if there are Nigerian doctors in Germany? The exams for doctors, are there past questions for it and is it hard like usmle Pls I'm in my final year and i really want to decide which country to go to.
Please I just need the name of the school you applied for the language visa because I am in process of doing it. I could not catch the name of the school in video.

Hi Obi, Thank you. Once you are able to learn the language to an extent and you pass the medical language exam, you automatically get the temporary licence.
thank you for the video. i have a question though, you got your MD from an EU country so why did you do approbation ? isn't true that you are pre-approved?
The Approbation is the permanent medical license to practice medicine in Germany that everyone must acquire before practicing. Doctors who studied in Germany receive theirs upon completing their medical studies. Every other person who studied outside of Germany or in the Eu must take an exam to get the Approbation.
