- This may be one of those items that is just plain "extra" but I have had a need for some kind of travel book weight for awhile now. I had been toting a small brass owl around but he just wasn't the proper shape for the job. When I travel I often need a page or two held down while writing. I had stopped taking my writing instruments with me so much and opted for my Freewrite devices because the wind just makes it too much of a fuss to use paper.
I'm looking forward to using this little book weight from "Good Made Better." It is their "Nomad" book weight and is currently listed as a "prototype."
I'd love to hear your thoughts on this product in the comment section below!

Classy looking paper weight.
I can imagine this working well when I’m journaling as an alternative to the clips.
I always enjoy your product reviews. 😊
My father was an old-school draftsman, and he had all sorts of things for weighing down paper. Little leather sand bags, old pharmacy weights, and a similar thing to the Nomad. It was a large steel ball bearing that had been cut in half and sewn into either end of a leather strap so the thing had a flat edge but remained malleable. It was perfect for a book weight. It didn't fold, though. The Nomad looks like it would nicely fit the same purpose.
This might help with notebooks that do not open flat, like the Clairefontaine 1951. I love it!
