I'm 67 and through out grade school every morning the whole school gathered in the auditorium to say the Lords Prayer and the pledge of alligence. By the time I hit jr high it stopped. By the time I was in high school it was the hippie generation, gurus, and cults of every kind. I watched the world change into what the bible predicts, a lawless society earth wide. I'm anxious for Jesus to come, the rapture and paradise. Blessed is Jesus Christ.

I love that the few words that Pastor Jimmy Evans says at times, have so much power and weight...
“What’s your relationship with the Bible? Are you dating it, engaged to it, or are you married to it”?
    ...And....
“The person that loves you the most, isn’t the person that tells you what you want to hear... it’s the person that tells you what you NEED to hear”.

Only grace and truth together can help anybody.A gracious person who is willing to give up the bible to make a person feel better about themselves, is not telling him what he needs to hear and therefore is not truly loving this person!! 1:17 - The word "Rapture" is in the bible. You just have to go through a Latin translation to find it. That is so cool! Because so many people make the argument that the word "Rapture" is not in the bible, and some even say the occurrence of the rapture is not in the bible. It's pretty clear right there that it is.

Tribulation and wrath are not the same; not even the same Greek word. Jesus said that in the world you will have tribulation. We are appointed to distress (tribulation).
that no one should be moved in these tribulations, for you know that we are appointed for this. 1 thes. 3:3

There will be church martyrs in the tribulation.
9After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands; 10And cried with a loud voice, saying, Salvation to our God which sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb. 11And all the angels stood round about the throne, and about the elders and the four beasts, and fell before the throne on their faces, and worshipped God, 12Saying, Amen: Blessing, and glory, and wisdom, and thanksgiving, and honour, and power, and might, be unto our God for ever and ever. Amen.
13And one of the elders answered, saying unto me, What are these which are arrayed in white robes? and whence came they? 14And I said unto him, Sir, thou knowest. And he said to me, These are they which came out of great tribulation,

Kenneth Harrison.. The Rapture of the Church and the second coming of Christ are two separate events. That is why he mentions them in that way. The Rapture is when we (believers) meet Him in the sky and the second coming is after the Antichrist is revealed, when Jesus's feet touch the Earth during Armageddon, to stop the destruction. This is what causes a lot of people to be confused about whether or not there is a Rapture. They are two separate events and often people see them as one. Blessings!

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE READ! We are to test the spirits and to not believe everything we hear. I’m not saying I have understand it 100% but one thing I’m sure, brother Jimmy hasn’t understand it 100% either. We are all to seek and scrutinize the Word of God, but only the Holy Spirit can reveal it to you. There is ONLY ONE answer and is not a denomination that has it 100% right. We all should seek and let the Lord reveal what we need to know. We don’t need to know everything, but to ALWAYS TRUST HIM. If you are seeking Him, He will reveal the Word to you and open the eyes of your spirit to understand and be able to see clearly. Only if you are living in the Spirit of God will understand it. Not in your flesh, but in the Spirit of GOD. May God bless you and reveal what you need to know!

I agree 100% with your statement! No one has all the answers concerning the endtimes. People tend to listen to others rather than ask the Holy Spirit to teach them.
I noticed one thing. If they believe that the one who is taken out of the way is the "Holy Spirit", then they obviously believe that means those in Christ will go before the anti-Christ, which does not fit this verse at all. Yet, they will use this verse to support pre-trib rapture! I don't get it!

    • @williambunter3311
      @williambunter3311 5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

Joe Monroe, I would refer you, Joe, to 2 Thess. 2 v1 ff. I believe this passage of Scripture is a strong argument for the pre-tribulation rapture. The Thessalonians feared that they had either missed the rapture, which Paul refers to here in v.1 as 'our gathering together unto Him' (previously spoken of in the first epistle chapter 4 vv 16-18), or that they had misunderstood his teaching concerning the rapture. Some of them thought that the Day of the Lord had arrived. Paul reassured them that the Day of the Lord was not present, and wouldn't begin until certain events had happened, which he goes onto identify in the following verses. In v7, Paul speaks of the one who hinders (i.e. the Holy Spirit) being 'taken away'. The Holy Spirit inhabits the church, so His being taken away shows the removal of the church. Then in v.8 the wicked one (the beast/ antichrist) will be made manifest. So the wicked one will not be made manifest until after the church has been taken away. It is the Holy Spirit who hinders the full manifestation of evil now. When He is taken out of the way, the world will become like hell on earth. Notice that He is 'taken out of the way', not 'taken away'. He will still empower and protect the 144,000 Jewish witnesses, and the two witnesses. But He will no longer hinder the fullness of evil as He does now.
See also Rev 3v10., where the Philadelphian church, representing the true church in the last days will not have to go through the tribulation that is coming on the whole world. Note that the corrupt church (Laodicea) is still going to be here. We see the false and evil teaching emanating from the church leaders today, such as the evil bishops in the C. of E. who are supporting and encouraging the godless government's LGBT programme being forced on small children in C.of E. schools. And same - sex 'marriage'. By the way, bear in mind that Laodicea means 'the peoples' rights'. That's what it's all about now- 'human rights', minority rights' - but never God's right to be obeyed. Sad but true to say, the Sunday after the rapture will still see thousands of deceived people in church services being preached to by vicars and 'priests' and 'pastors' who have never known the Lord Jesus. These are they who are 'falling away'. Their profession of faith is bogus. They have replaced saving faith with man-made theology, and have embraced ecumenicism and 'multi-faith dialogue'.
I am sure you will agree, though, that whatever our personal views are, concerning the time of the rapture, the absolutely essential thing is to know the Lord Jesus as one's Saviour and Lord. God bless.

      @@williambunter3311 That very verse says:
"Concerning the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our being gathered to him, we ask you, brothers and sisters, not to become easily unsettled or alarmed by the teaching allegedly from us-whether by a prophecy or by word of mouth or by letter-asserting that the day of the Lord has already come. Don’t let anyone deceive you in any way, for that day will not come UNTIL the REBELLION (Apostacy) OCCURS and the MAN OF LAWLESSNESS is REVEALED, the man doomed to destruction. He will oppose and will exalt himself over everything that is called God or is worshiped, so that he sets himself up in God’s temple, proclaiming himself to be God.
      2 Thessalonians 2:1‭-‬4
This verse says clearly that the Apostacy (of the church) and anti-Christ will be revealed to the church before the bride goes home to be with Christ. At the time The bride goes home to be with Christ, Paul states, the dead in Christ will rise first, then those who are left will be taken up to meet them in the air. It's all one occurrence; very clear.

    • @williambunter3311

@@donnas1787 Paul tells Timothy to be careful to rightly divide the word of truth. There always has to be care to avoid confusion between truths which refer to different dispensations and different contexts. I am sure I don't need to tell you that chapter and verse numberings have been added for our useful convenience and as aids to bible study. However it is essential to bear in mind that even a single verse or paragraph may not refer throughout to the same thing, but may contain a comparison of one thing with another.
Your saying that it's 'very clear' that the Rapture and the day of the Lord are 'all one occurrence', stems, I would ask you to consider, from your not seeing that two events are alluded to, not one. In 2 Thess.2v1 the words, 'we beseech thee brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and by our gathering unto Him' would obviously, as I am sure you would agree, be understood by the Thessalonians as referring to the Rapture event taught by Paul in his first epistle to them in chapter 4. However, they would have understood also that the Day of the Lord was distinct from the Rapture. This is why Paul reassured them that the Day of the Lord would not begin until certain things were seen to happen ( 2 vv3-6). If the Day of the Lord were already present, it would mean that they had missed the rapture (v1). Thus Paul identifies things that would be present when the Day began, such as the revelation of the man of Sin, and the apostasy that would characterise the false church in the tribulation period. I would suggest, then, that the teaching of 2Thess.2 strongly supports the pretribulational Rapture of the true church, rather than disproving it. Paul's reassuring them that the Day of the Lord hadn't yet come was so that they would know that they had not missed the rapture, which would come before that terrible Day.
Consider also, Donna; if they thought the day of the Lord had indeed come, why would they be 'shaken in mind' or 'troubled' about it If Paul had taught them that they would have to go through it? They were already suffering tribulation and persecution. If the Day of the Lord was already present it would have meant that their suffering was nearly at an end.
Of course we see all around us the apostasy which is rapidly increasing in Christendom. The C of E for example, with its promotion of LGBT, and the perverted teaching and 'cross-dressing days' being forced upon children in C of E schools, including primary schools. And its active role in the trusteeship of the Children's Society with its abhorrent practise of letting little children be adopted by same-sex couples. The Methodist church with its recent acceptance of same-sex marriage. All this is horrendously evil, and the world will wax more and more evil. Surely the Rapture will occur very soon.
The Day of the Lord will commence with the events of Rev.6, when antichrist will appear on the political, and later religious, stage, and God will begin to send His judgement down on a sin-loving, Christ-rejecting world. But notice that between chapter 6 and the Lord's return in chapter 19, the church is never mentioned at all. The 'elect' in these days will be the Jewish elect. The Lord will send out 144, 000 Jewish witnesses to proclaim the gospel of the Kingdom. They will preach to Jews and gentiles alike, and many will be saved, even at the cost of their lives at the hand of the antichrist and his agents. It will be the time of Jacob's trouble, the seventieth week of Daniel. The true church will have been raptured before God's anger is poured out. The false 'church' in its various denominations, will remain in the world, but they are never referred to in the Revelation as the church. Rather, they are collectively referred to as the whore of Babylon.
So, Donna, I hope you will at least consider an alternative interpretation of the Rapture question, regarding when it occurs. It may turn out to be post-trib, as you seem to understand it, but certainly not on the basis of what is taught in 2Thess. 2. Also, a mid-trib or post-trib view presents many more problems than a pre-trib one.
I have noted one or two additional comments you have made concerning other subjects on this particular blog, and I would like to reply to them as well. This is not because I wish to 'pick on' you, but because the future glory of Israel is vitally important to understand. The Lord Jesus will reign over the earth from His throne is Jerusalem. Judaism was given by the Lord temporarily as a way of preparing the Jews for their Messiah. Sadly, tragically, they failed to recognise Him for whom He is, and mostly rejected Him. But though Judaism has been superseded by Christianity, the nation of Israel has certainly not been abandoned by God. There is a huge difference in Scripture between references to Judaism as a religion, and those to Israel as a nation. But more of that in replies I would like to make to your other comments. You have a zeal for the things of the Lord, and I hope you will consider new angles which you may not have previously considered.

      @@williambunter3311 I believe you're being a little presumptuous here.
Problem is people have been indoctrinated with dispensationalism and pre-trib rapture; your mind automatically conforms to such teachings. However, it doesn't fit the scripture, especially this one! That's why there's this division among God's people on this subject.
Please just hear me for a minute. The saints were concerned about the "Rapture"-- (the gathering of the saints with our Lord Jesus) already occurring because of some erroneous alerts.
Paul comforted them in saying that 2 events need to take place FIRST. Do not be alarmed! The Apostasy and the revealing of the lawless one.
Paul specifically says in the first verse, (concerning the COMING of the Lord and our being GATHERED to Him. This related to the Rapture because they were concerned the Rapture may have happened already. Why would Paul bring up the "Day of the Lord" event when they were concerned about the "Rapture event"? That's why he is not referring to 2 events. Paul said not to be alarmed for the Day of the Lord has not happened and will not until these 2 things occur First. Now, you've got to know that Paul was NOT talking about The Day of the Lord meaning when He comes to bring destruction! They would have known that.
What is the meaning of the "Day if the Lord" to you? Of course, the man of perdition would come on the scene before the Lord's wrath, judgment.

    • @williambunter3311
      @williambunter3311 5 ปีที่แล้ว

@@donnas1787 You are getting a little mixed up in your reasoning Donna. Yes, we agree that the saints were worried that the Rapture had already occurred. If that had already happened it would have meant that they had missed it and were not saved, and neither, for that matter, was Paul, who was still around. In his first epistle to them 1Thess.1v10 Paul had encouraged them to wait for Lord from heaven who will deliver them from the wrath to come. In Rev 3v10, the apostle John also tells the true believers in Philadelphia that the Lord will keep them from the trial that is to come upon the whole world. (note; from the trial, not in the trial). Paul identifies three things that must happen before the Day of the Lord set in. I have read your reply to my comment carefully. Please pay attention to mine also.
Firstly, the man of sin would appear; secondly, apostasy would spread rapidly and widely (as we see happening everywhere today); and thirdly the Restrainer.( that which restrains) would be removed, that is the Holy Spirit who indwells all true believers. Then lawlessness will have its day. Without the civilising influence that believers exercise in the world, chaos will ensue.
The Day of the Lord is interpreted variously by different commentators. The view I hold is that it refers to the events that occur after the Rapture; that is, the seven year tribulation period, and also the blessings of the millennial reign of Christ. You may hold a different view, but you have not said what you believe the term to refer to.
if you believe that the Day of the Lord refers to the second coming of Christ, why would the Thessalonians, I ask again, be worried. And if they were worried as you say, that it were already present, and if it was, as you claim, the same occurrence, would it not be a cause for rejoicing rather than distress? Why would Paul need to comfort them? No, Donna, you can't have your cake and eat it. The fact is that the comfort Paul promised them in 1Thess., and again refers to here in v 1, is that the Rapture would occur before the Day of the Lord. You ask 'why would Paul bring up the Day of the Lord event when they were concerned about the Rapture event?' Surely the obvious answer is that Paul had clearly told them that the Rapture would keep them out of the terrible Day of the Lord.
I find your argument rather confused. If I have missed your intent it is because I find it rather contradictory. I think you are trying to demonstrate an argument which isn't sound, and you have ended up tying yourself in knots to a certain extent. if you wish to argue your case convincingly, you need to do a bit more than accuse others of being brainwashed. You also need to define what you yourself mean by the Day of the Lord, and what you think 'the restrainer' is alluding to. To say others are wrong is not enough; you need to argue by explaining why you think you are right.
I do not say this to be judgemental on you. You clearly belong to our precious Saviour. I am only pointing out that though you disagree with what others believe, you don't give any explanations of what you yourself believe -- statements, yes, but no explanations to support those statements. God bless.

The rapture is a lie. Saying Jesus could return at any time would mean when Jesus told Mark 13, Matthew 24, and Luke 21 end time events , it would make his prophesy a lie.. That would mean every prophet who claimed the abomination of desolation, every apostle who preached the man of sin must stand in the holy place claming to be God before Jesus returns would be a liar. That is exactly opposite of what Jesus taught the disciples. There calling Jesus and the apostles a liar.

Gospel Preached to all the World?
(Matthew 24:4-14) The end has not
yet come nor is the final phase of the work over. The Great Commission
has not been fulfilled yet Wycliffe Bible Translators: by the help and
Uses of Technology there is a possibility this could be fulfilled in 2025.

Hi, God is not relying on man to do this.. there are those out of reach in the jungle etc The return of the Lord is not hanging on us. God can send an angel around the world to proclaim the gospel so dont sweat it. God bless and get to know God. John 17:3, John 10:27.
