- Throughout the pandemic our country saw mental health issues skyrocket. Adults and children alike struggled and worried about what the future might hold for them. Traditionally, the church has not cared for mental illness well, blaming it on lack of faith and prayer. However, even though society has advanced to create the most care for mental illness, we still see the problem growing every day. So what do we do?

I need prayer, I am in the hospital because of mental illness but only because I am going through a traumatic experience in my life right now. It’s affecting my marriage, my jobs, my family, and most importantly myself. I am on the verge of just losing all hope but now that I’m at my all time low, I prayed and asked god to get me out of this hole. To save me and take me whereever he wants. Father whatever extremely difficult mental situation he has been through and is currently going through, will you bring him out of it. Pastor, I’ve been a worship pastor for over 25 years, I have a daughter that struggles with psychosis, anxiety and depression, my oldest daughter has anxiety and fibromyalgia, currently my daughter are not walking w God. I pray every day, I pray on my walks, on my runs in car and I’m waiting for God to meet them where they are, waiting for God to heal my kids. Please pray for them!! Thank you. Gracias Pastor!!

Pastor i suffer from schizophrenia since 1990. Am stable on medication but have the last few months developed side effects called tardive dyskinesia. Unable to chew and swallow solid food. Ballance also very bad. Everyone is saying testifying that jesus christ heales them of schizophrenia. Please pray for healing

My brother has schizophrenia most of his life, I finally got him in a nursing home where he finally started taking his medicine, he started getting better but theirs another part with paranoid schizophrenia is the anxiety that will be triggered when weather changes, i believe it has to be the difference in pressure change that triggers my brother anxiety. I've told the nursing home about this and now agree it happens with the whole nursing home when the weather changes.

Yes, Pastor Brown. I suffer from schizoaffective disorder bipolar type, and I suffered from childhood schizophrenia. I had this problem all my life and had to deal with narcissistic voices in my head. It's bad enough also dealing with the stigma of mental illness. Mental illnesses, such as schizophrenia and schizoaffective disorder, are pretty misunderstood. People think that the sufferer is "crazy", "violent" or just to put it plainly, LESS THAN the person who doesn't have a mental illness. People with these illnesses are so stigmatized, that they are SCARED to get help. I feel that the word "CRAZY" is offensive to the sufferer and anyone who's suffering from mental illness is NOT VIOLENT because people without mental illness can be violent, too. The media, writers of television shows and movies always make certain characters with mental illness hurt and kill people, and you see new anchors always say that the people that do the crimes on their stories have a mental illness. That why people get that notion that the sufferer is a bad seed, which is untrue. There's a lot of myths about mental illness that I can talk to you (and other people that read this comment, too) about and educate you further on my illness, but I don't want to take up any of our time. Let's all work together and end stigma and discrimination against people with mental illness, because we all didn't ask to be born or the health problems we're born with. Holding someone responsible for having mental illness is like holding someone responsible for having cancer and diabetes. Love your sermon, though, and may God bless you💛

I am battling with mental health...anxiety/depression, indecisiveness and managing daily work. Have been praying with my family for healing and God is helping me. However I feel it's taking a long time for me to heal. I have two children, 21 and 13yrs. Please pray for me to heal completely. Jesus is my healer and Saviour. I believe He will take me out of this trial.

Thank you for this sermon. My grandson is battling depression, bipolarism and schizophrenia..I have prayed for his complete healing since the very first day he was diagnosed. I believe with all my heart that he will be healed. At first I placed him totally in the spiritual arena although I also believed God could heal in other ways too. Your sermon helped me to remember that our bodies are not one single entity but mind, spirit, and body and we have to minister to the whole person. I pray that I can have him listen to this with me. I believe God created doctors for reason and sometimes the healing comes in the form of a pill. There is no shame if you need to take meds. Just like there is no shame if a person with high blood pressure must take meds.
My bipolar friend would be dead without medication.

Thank you. I have Dissociative Identity Disorder And Borderline personality disorder. So 2 personality disorders plus a whole line of other diagnosis. I got these from a lot of trauma. And I have to say my spiritual life has definitely been impacted. This message helped me go from blaming God to accepting His love to help me out. I have lost hope but I found hope again, not in my mental nor physical health but in God. He is great and I trust He will turn what the enemy went to evil and turn it to good.

Some healing is instantaneous, others are layered by processes (faith in Jesus to heal, talk therapy, medication/pills, etc.) Bless you, so happy for your deliverance and healing.

Trusting in Jesus with our hearts and not leaning into our own understanding, will give us hope. I read the whole Bible many times and still had trouble until I went to a satellite of life skills international to get help. This is a Christian program…the Bible says seek and you will find rest for our souls. I am 60 now and finally found the peace and tranquillity that my soul was searching for and basically learned to trust in Jesus by reading and putting the scriptures in my heart and learn boundaries..so much I am learning every day.

We have a lot of depression,bipolar,autism spectrum disorder,OCD,PTSD.The ones that really turned to Jesus had a better life. I claim all the promises in the Bible and encourage others to do so also.I would sing in the middle of the storm. God has not given us a spirit of fear but of power love and a sound mind. My sister who was so difficult for me to help is now in rehab over a year. She is another state close to her daughter.I hope she keeps loving the Lord forever.The Lord is faithful. I really believe eating healthy,taking B-vitamins,especially Niacin. St.John’s Wort helps me. Exercise.Probiotics.Miracles happen everyday. I pray for the homeless that they get back on their feet. with God all things are possible. I am thankful to the Lord for Christian books too
I was born with a rare genetic mutation which is called Ectodermal Dysplasia ( the variant I have; there’s 150 different variants, included missing two fingers on each hand; feet match 😊 This, along with the usual differences of Ectodermal Dysplasia made me appear much different than others yet somehow I was able to form many different friend groups. I mention this as this preacher stated because the separate groups of friends seriously mattered to me especially during Junior high and Senior high. Plenty of times I found refuge among these separate groups of friends and this saved me! Where not accepted I still had somewhere to turn and still be accepted as well as receiving counseling. Just thought I’d add to this as the preacher added because he hits on something so very important especially during the ages of 14 and graduating. May God Bless and keep each of you!!!
I can prove 100% true Faith and belief cures mental health in normal circumstances and cures it all. The power of sincere, humble prayer is the answer. plus if you question every single person in a mental asylum if they believe in God, not including the religious nutters, 100% don’t believe in him. 100%.

I have watched this twice today. Thank you. I have not been in the mental hospital, especially solitary confinement for a long long. time. I now live in a fancy retirement home for old people. Everything 49:29 49:29 has been pretty normal until they put us in total lockdown because some people here got Covid. I finally lost it and started screaming. They changed their mind and allowed me to sit outside. I felt like I still have a purpose..I pray for everyone I see. Please pray for me. I am still very ashamed at my poor behavior that evening. This was a good sermon for me. I have watched it twice so far. ❤❤❤
Receive forgiveness for your behavior that night & for every sin. Jesus forgives all our sins. We have no right to hold onto our sin & not forgive ourselves because Jesus paid the highest price for your forgiveness. “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” 1 John 1:9
@@bluhaus1amen. That is so true, we need to receive the forgiveness and move on. God is love and Jesus died so that we might be set free. Once our sins are confessed they're remembered by God no more 😊

Our prayer Lord is that you would get Cindy through this recovery of this car accident. Praying that healing would be a part of her story physically due to this accident. And Lord, during this tough time for her husband John, thats has to see her in this state, would you give him peace, strength and trusting in you. Jesus, work a miracle and heal! Please pray for me im 19 going on 20 didn’t think id make it. I struggle with a lot of anxiety that it drives me crazy where i bring myself to suicidal thoughts to end the feeling. I decided to turn back to Jesus after growing up in a church and then turning away from church. Reading the Bible every night and trying to get closer with God has been helping if i can at least just get one prayer it’ll help please God bless ❤️🙏🏻
you are so brave - keep building that relationship with God - he will meet you where you are and He will carry you. Did you know that the phrase DO NOT BE AFRAID is mentioned 365 times in the Bible? Do not be afraid. Challenge the anxiety with Jesus on your side.

I need prayer please. I’m dealing with anxiety and OCD really bad and doing my best. I’m praying and getting more involved in the church but extra prayers would be much appreciated.
I ask God that you would meet every effort to know you more and fight these struggles with your grace, kindness, and peace. Replace these anxieties with sweet joys that come from you and provide stamina and endurance for this friend to fight the good fight. Amen.

I need prayer. My son has mental/ emotional illness and husband is starting to get symptoms of dementia Son living with us I’m the spiritual prayer. It’s a sense of confusion over son and sadness and disconnect with my husband. We are in our 70s Son is waiting for a result on a biopsy for cancer All in all I do pretty good but Then something happens and it’s the last straw. My son is hostile toward The Bible.

I need prayer please! I’m dealing with so many mental illnesses that’s been going on for a while now I’m tired emotionally physically and spiritually along with divorce, deaths, griefs, no home for me or my family, my teenagers.. Everything has hit me at once. have been to counseling but I feel it’s more about their paycheck then them actually giving me coping mechanisms.. also I’m on meds.. about to do blood work soon to check balances of hormones and vitamins.. very spiritually weak and I don’t feel gods presence much anymore. Please pray. also please pray for my family members that are bound from addiction and homelessness. They need them bad as well…
Lord, we lift of @heatherchampion9154 to you. All of these burdens that she's carrying- would you alleviate some of this heaviness for her? Would you provide her with relief and peace? I believe that you are with her and present to her, but knowing that and feeling it sometimes don't align. Help her to experience your Presence and all that it brings, Father. Amen.

Because of the mental illness- OCD for me, gives me shame and guilt. This shows I’m not trusting Jesus which brings fear. The root of my OCD is coveting and idolatry and this separates me from the Father.
