  • Being able to pair your hearing aids with your Bluetooth-enabled devices can make your listening experience that much better. In a previous How-To video, Hearing Solutions showed you how to connect and stream audio directly from your mobile phone to your hearing aids. In this video, Hearing Solutions Audiology Manager, Andreas Seelisch, shows you how to pair your hearing aids with your TV for a better hearing experience. Watch more hearing aid tutorials by visiting our aural rehabilitation section under the 'Services' section at www.hearingsolutions.ca!

    I would like to Bluetooth my Phonak Paradise Hearing Aids directly to my TV's Bluetooth system. It wants to work, with sporadic connectivity but then drops within a few seconds. I don't understand why. Bluetooth is a standard, right? So, I Bluetooth to a pair of earbuds that are barely larger than my Paradise units instead. They work great, sound great and no drop outs. It would be better to be able to use the hearing aids though so I wouldn't forget to put them back in as I sometimes do when I'm finished with a TV show. (BTW, the earbuds are Anker Soundcore that I bought for $39...a lot less than the $230 for the Phonak BT device)

    How to connect hearing aid to Mac. My mac has blue-tooth, which can let me use the blue-tooth speaker.

      It depends on the brand , the Phonak Marvel connects directly an Oticon Opn S model would need a Connect Clip & a Sennheiser Dongle to go in the back of the Mac. I hope this helps.

    I recently switched from Vodaphone broadband to B.T. There is no setting to enable/disable Bluetooth connectivity from TV to hearing aids so this means the TV picks up Bluetooth in my hearing aids & connects the TV programme straight to my hearing aids. If someone talks to me I can't disable this as I did with Vodaphone. Surely I am not the only heating aid person facing this? Anyone else with B.T.?

    What if your TV is Bluetooth capable?
    will you be able to hear the audio on your hearing aide or do you have to stick to the brand specific Bluetooth transmitter because of higher battery drainage?

    I don’t know if you answer question , but just got my blue tooth receiver and I want to hook it to the TV .. the Tv only has the red and white plugs .. the issue is ,this blue tooth receiver has two red and white plugs .. but it says output ...it also has a 1/4 jack that says output ... I thought the signal should go from the output of the TV to the input of the receiver , this blue tooth receiver has no inputs ...

    When one connects to the TV does sound still come out of the TV speakers?

    • @zone1hearing
      @zone1hearing 4 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Yes as long as you use an optical cable, phono or scart leads. If you use a 3.5MM cable audio jack it can stop the sound so only suitable if you watch TV alone.

    • @juancarlosfernandez7811
      @juancarlosfernandez7811 ปีที่แล้ว

      That's because all devices are different, each brand support one or multiple devices but seems non offers compatibility with all hearing aids, don't know why but I have a theory. This isn't a step by step tutorial is more like an introduction for you can understand your user's manual easily

    Why do I need to buy the device from the hearing aid company? I already listen via bluetooth. I purchased a device for under $20 off amazon that converts optical audio to bluetooth and I listen with any bluetooth device. Why would a hearing aid such as the Audeo M90-R RIC, which I have on order, require a special device. I guess I will find out when I get them but if they can connect to my andriod phone I see no reason why they could not pair with my TV. Am I missing something?

      I just purchased WIdex 440 Fashion Power aids. Very expensive. Now I cannot hear the TV at all. I could with previous aids. Widex sells a TV play specific for these aids but it is $300. I talked to Avantree, who makes audio equipment to help me troubleshoot with a device. They informed me that most hearing aids manufacturers do not allow 3rd party Bluetooth transmitters.

    • @zone1hearing

      @@davemeasor394 Yes the others in the room will still hear the sound. There is a different Bluetooth for the TV streamer Bluetooth classic would drain the batteries far more quickly

      There are several different Bluetooth protocols within the Marvels to connect directly would cause way to much drain hence the need for the TV Streamer or you can use a Roger Select iN

    I have the same Phonak TV LINK II. What this video shows is how to hook it up to the TV. It does not prove that it works!
    I cannot get mine to work with Optical Digital Audio from the TV directly, or by using an Optical splutter so that Optical audio can be fed to the Sound Bar and to the TV Link II . On the TV Link the LED above the Optical socket blinks several times, then moves over to the far right over the analog socket and starts blinking. This suggests the TV LINK II searching for an audio source. I have tried three different Optical cables - each works fine when connected from the TV to the Sound Bar. Was told by my supplier that many Phonak TV LINK II users have have not been able to get it to work with Optical.

    • @iicat69
      @iicat69 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I have the same I believe and you may need to go into your TV's audio settings to configure it to take the optical. I had to do that with mine.

    No model number. No description of what cords come with it. No discussion of why it would come with different cords. Really confusing on what models this would work with for hearing aids along with what to look for on your TV when purchasing it.

    My friend needs written instructions that are clear. She can’t hear you on her cell phone right now.
    I see how she can hook her cell phone up to with Bluetooth.
    Unfortunately, she can’t hear your instructions. She needs to have something to see like a video guide that she can watch over and over as she follows the instructions.
