I will never let him forget that he once posted on his main account thinking that he was on his sockpuppet and then proceeded to respond in agreement with himself. A classic "Slim Weeper" moment.
The reality of it is while KD is supremely talented, he doesn’t have the competitive drive that all other stars have. It’s been apparent thru his whole career. One big indication of this to me is how well he performs when his team is in control of a game, compared to his disappearing acts when his team is struggling to score. He’s a walking paradox. Best scorer ever, unless his team really needs him to step takeover a game when they’re struggling.

Moses Malone is the other all time great without a home. 22 seasons, 9 teams, 6 years in Houston with 2 MVPs and a Finals loss, 4 years in Philly with 1MVP and a title.
Yeah its fun to say KD doesn't have a home and has a confusing legacy now but honestly he's such a bucket that any one of the teams he's been on would work. He's hasn't missed the playoffs since his 2nd year in the league, came back from a career ending injury and balled even harder. His career is solidified.
He should go back to Seattle once they get it together and bring back the Sonics. Would be a great career arc and could give people something to watch (as expansions are *usually* pretty terrible)
Picture this: In a couple of years, OKC has fully reached their potential and is ready to make a title push, but they need a veteran presence and a bucket getter to really push them over the top. Kevin Durant returns to the organization that drafted him, that built him into the player he is today, and helps them when a ring after abandoning them several years prior. In my opinion, that would be the best way to redeem his legacy.
Or... He could just stay with the Suns and win there. Since they havent won a championship and the Thunder have a championship in their franchise history.
@@smoothsavage2870 that’s not gonna redeem his legacy in most people’s eyes. Going back to the team that drafted him would do a lot more for his legacy.
@@tbow13gbr22 The people that think KD has to go back to the team that drafted him to redeem himself are never going acknowledge his legacy either way. People are saying that he should go back to the team that drafted him and win because that's what LeBron did. KD doesn't have to do that. Winning with a team that's never won in franchise history redeems him.
@@smoothsavage2870 no it doesn’t. People villainize him for demanding to be traded away from the Nets to a team that was only a year removed from making the finals just as much as they do for his decision to go to golden state. Only way to fully redeem his legacy is to return to the original city he scorned, the one he said he wanted to play the rest of his life for.
It’s funny how people arbitrarily insert KD into the “greatest scorer of all time” discussion when it’s so easily MJ in terms of accolades, statistics, AND the eye test.
KD is in the DISCUSSION for greatest scorer of all time. That does not mean that he IS. Two different things. One of the greatest scorers of all time, for sure.
@@urbaindelva7869It shouldn’t even be a “discussion” at all. The evidence is so overwhelming that it’s MJ that anyone who says it isn’t him is quite frankly objectively incorrect by virtually every metric.
Cannot go to the team that eliminated you. It's like Jordan joining the Pistons after his first 2 lost to them. Just a bad move. Great performance for Warriors, but an outsider
He is a millioner at the end of the day. One of the most dominant offensive player in the history of basketball. Who cares if he can call some club home or not. NBA and entire professional sport is just a bussiness. There is nothing else to it. Do they deserve the money they are being paid? When you consider that billion people in the world do not have access to potable water, it would be deviant to say that they deserve that kind of wealth, and admiration. But thats the era we live in. Neverthless, he achieved more than enough, looked from regular guy standpoint such as myself.
The narrative is so tired. During the olympics people are saying Durant should never have left steph, but will still criticize those years at any opportunity.
Crazy how when Harden thought that he was getting a title KD averaged 30.4 in 2018 West Finals just to eliminate Harden then next year when they meet KD averaged 33.2 in 2019 2nd round Just unfair haha
Woah now, let's not get ahead of ourselves here. Saying that the Warriors would have defeated the Raps with a healthy Klay without Durant at all; that's a massive stretch! I would say they would be exactly even and it would be a 7 game series (a toss up). OG Anunoby was injured as well for the Raptors.
I always think if KD went to Houston instead of Golden State back in 2016 he'd still have 2 titles but he'd have a lot more respect & less of a dent on his legacy
Yeah the Thunder have been spoiled with elite talent and good seasons but we will be eternally cursed until Seattle has a team again. The Thunder easily have some of the most heartbreaking losses in recent history
seattle was always his team, okc wasnt the city or team that drafted him not shocked he wasnt deathly loyal especially after they let james walk cause they wanted to be cheap anyone that says okc drafted him are just willfully ignorant. also he was the only reason those okc teams were good especially in the playoffs, makes the conference finals next year hes hurt and they miss the playoffs with russ then he comes back the next year and they are in the conference finals, took russ turning into a different player and averaging 32 11 and 10 for a season to drag the rest of the team back to a 6th seed after he left, doesnt get any credit for taking okc to still up to this day their only period of postseason success until this current team puts it together
Yup, the Warriors definitely would have won the 2019 championship if Klay had not gotten injured. Remember when KD himself in a segment with Serge Ibaka said that if Klay had not gotten injured, the series would have reached a Game 7 and the Warriors would have won without him. Heck, Klay had 30 points in game 6 of that series before he went down. Klay was on track to have another historic Game 6 Klay moment. PS. A thought came to mind. If the Warriors had won in 2019 without KD, that would have proven Draymond’s statement correct right away, and that would have made KD’s legacy even worse than it already is.
At the end of the day, Kevin Durant made the right decision. That Thunder team was going nowhere, even if Kevin Durant stayed. Plus Golden State was offering more money anyway and they would have gotten him if they had won the title in 2016 as well. At the day, he's going to go down as one of the greatest scorers of all time, he's a champion, he's won multiple finals MVPs, and he's going to be in the Hall of Fame.

0:49 before watching the full video if kd would've won the three peat he would have more respect in the nba but him losing and get hurt and than him never winning after GSW is what's holding him back from top 10 talks IMO
Agreed, winning cures all. If he stuck around gsw and they kept winning at some point people would be forced to respect it.
He will be remembered as a great player who could score so easily but not a winner
You sound slow as shit he has 1 of the highest win % in nba history & is a 2x champion u dudes come on here and say anything
Taking KD's titles away means taking away Lebron's two from Miami. If we're calling busriders, the only bus Bron ever drove was Cleveland
You sure its not Kyrie?
Complete bullshit. LeBron was the bus driver in all of his titles. In 2012 Wade was already on the decline. He averaged 22 points. Plus a D Wade Chris Bosh led team would have never made it to the finals. LeBron was the bus driver in LA and Cleveland.
Shaq is also one of the NBA Greats who really doesn’t have a home team tbh
nobody really talks about that. But I guess him going thru some struggle years in LA before they won gives him a pass.
Kash Doll trying to use the “KD” nickname is my fav KD moment
He will be remembered as a great player who was never happy because he spent too much time on social media.
The only reason you think he’s never happy is cuz you spend to much time listening to media.
when is coming out the video about the 2011 mavs?
i really liked you guys, i like how you talk an explain basketball, so i'd love to see a video about those mavs
You're making great content
Kevin Durant's home should have been OKC but it's probably the Golden State Warriors in my opinion.
I will never let him forget that he once posted on his main account thinking that he was on his sockpuppet and then proceeded to respond in agreement with himself.
A classic "Slim Weeper" moment.
please make a video on the mid 2010s wizards, love the work
The reality of it is while KD is supremely talented, he doesn’t have the competitive drive that all other stars have. It’s been apparent thru his whole career. One big indication of this to me is how well he performs when his team is in control of a game, compared to his disappearing acts when his team is struggling to score. He’s a walking paradox. Best scorer ever, unless his team really needs him to step takeover a game when they’re struggling.
Is so obvious you don’t know what the hell you’re talking about.
14:39 have you seen how terminally online KD is? How he responds to people constantly talking about him? He cares what people think about him. Why do you think he's been forming super teams ever since he left Golden State?
KD is underrated he needs win title without the warriors to change the narrative of his legacy
As a warriors fan, I’ll always have love and appreciation for slim 💙💛
6:40 what???!!!! I didn’t know this😂😂😂
I had to look at the title twice asking myself if I read it right😂
what was the title
Tyus Jones gonna help them a lot
Kd is my second fav player of all time
As a Suns fan I'm really hoping he can help will this team to another finals appearance at least but it's gonna be so hard in the Western Conference. And you guys said it best, the Suns really fucked up their roster and now don't have a point guard or draft picks because of them getting Beal.
Currently.. just incredible pure shooter all over the court, good handles for such a tall guy. But killer pure shooter is how I see him
you guys sound IDENTICAL to Corwin and DZ from TSN Bardown, its a hockey channel on TH-cam. like genuinely i picture them speaking when watching your videos
Seattle def loves kd, but Seattle doesn't have an nba team.
Wish you'd mention his great college and Team USA accolades. #1 Team USA player of all time.
At least he is not drunk like westbrook
I don’t think ill ever have more fun as a nba fan than when KD was on the warriors
Babe wake up synthetic sports posted
He should go back to Seattle once they get it together and bring back the Sonics. Would be a great career arc and could give people something to watch (as expansions are *usually* pretty terrible)
The correct answer is KD ends his career with the *new* Seattle Supersonics expansion team in 2028.
Picture this:
In a couple of years, OKC has fully reached their potential and is ready to make a title push, but they need a veteran presence and a bucket getter to really push them over the top.
Kevin Durant returns to the organization that drafted him, that built him into the player he is today, and helps them when a ring after abandoning them several years prior.
In my opinion, that would be the best way to redeem his legacy.
They wouldn't need him because by that point sga would be a top 5 player and way better than kd....kd hasn't put any team over the top ever
Kevin durant imo has kickstarted a debate about the value of the championship ring
y’all sayin kd legacy is confusing cause he doesn’t have a home to call is crazy to me
It’s funny how people arbitrarily insert KD into the “greatest scorer of all time” discussion when it’s so easily MJ in terms of accolades, statistics, AND the eye test.
He's a great player
Phoenix started rebuilding right, got one taste of success, and traded everything for aging iso players. Coming from a KD fan
Crazy how when Harden thought that he was getting a title
KD averaged 30.4 in 2018 West Finals just to eliminate Harden
then next year when they meet KD averaged 33.2 in 2019 2nd round
Just unfair haha
9:10 why did the Blazers get swept then? 😂
6:29 😂😂😭😭 nah for sure his legacy different
Nah I am not taking that random disrespect to COD advanced warfare man why I loved it😭😭
Woah now, let's not get ahead of ourselves here. Saying that the Warriors would have defeated the Raps with a healthy Klay without Durant at all; that's a massive stretch! I would say they would be exactly even and it would be a 7 game series (a toss up). OG Anunoby was injured as well for the Raptors.
Remember klay defends at an extremely highly level put aside his ability to shoot i believe they would've won
My boy Kd one of da greatest 🦾
KDR is still a legend
Kevin Durant Rough is one of the best scorers ever.
KD’s legacy is what Carmelo Anthony’s legacy would’ve been had he joined Miami. Great scorer. Couldn’t get it done without major help
He played well in Paris too
Kwahi also has a weird legacy doesn’t have the stats but those 2 rings
1. Injury prone
2. Spurs system don't allow players to get their stats up
KD is just over hated these days
At the end of the day, Kevin Durant made the right decision. That Thunder team was going nowhere, even if Kevin Durant stayed. Plus Golden State was offering more money anyway and they would have gotten him if they had won the title in 2016 as well. At the day, he's going to go down as one of the greatest scorers of all time, he's a champion, he's won multiple finals MVPs, and he's going to be in the Hall of Fame.
"Greatest player on the greatest team of all time" is a respectable legacy.
Everyone 30 years from now is gonna wonder how KD ended up with the Warriors like Clyde with Houston.....
a video on my fav player on my bday n idk how to feel
Happy birthday🎉
We Have Been Spoiled With Championship Parades By The DUBS & GIANTS Since 2010 Till ( 2021 I Lived In Atlanta & Went To The Braves WS Parade) 2022.
DUB NATION 4 LIFE.
"No one likes it"
"It's not fun"
😭😭😭😭😭😭😭🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Kawaii getting injured made a big difference in that round as well.
Which one?
@@urbaindelva7869bruh vs warriors when they were up 20
Yall trolling with the title lmao 😂
4:27 mannnn just think of it from KDs perspective… raised by a single mom in the hood loves playing basketball has a dream works hard af torches the Olympic team at 18 gets drafted to Seattle then end up in Oklahoma? Get to the finals lose to Lebron lost Harden can’t get better and just wants to go against the greatest player to him in the finals again to be the best at the highest level and Warriors only beat a not fully Cavs team that’s why KD went thru there To win and be great that’s it… y’all want Every player to be like Dame and not ask out til a decade of losing goes by??
going back to OKC now that they're winning would be a KD move
Not exactly. He was the first superstar that OKC had, and he helped build up that franchise into a title contender. Now, OKC may be a winning team, but they are still young and merely bordering on being title contenders.
Dont change the title its funny
if instead of going to the suns KD went to OKC and said he had unfinished business it would have made his legacy 10000x better
One of the greatest ever
Sadly. I didn’t start watching the nba till 2021. If it wasn’t for KD. I wouldn’t of watched one of the better finals in past years between the bucks and suns.
KD is an excellent basketball player and has had an excellent career. He was clearly the second best player in his era and skill wise second to none.
It’s just business for KD he gets the respect and appreciation for his time with all the teams he been with.
