@@Charliehund100 Yeah, they're good. People like them, they're popular. They're fun to watch. If you don't like them, don't watch, but, they're here to stay.
Went to a double feature of Terrifier 2 and 3 last night. Had an absolute blast! So fun! It’s so over the top and camp, the effects are so gnarly they walk that edge of real/unreal. 3 kind of brings in some more real emotional stakes, but it’s still not that serious. These movies are gory, campy, brutal, cruel, nasty, and mean spirited, but somehow in a lighthearted fun way? I understand why some people don’t like these movies. But boy do I enjoy them.
Yeah, that’s what I love about 2 and 3: it’s a cruel world in the films but it’s handled with enough fun a camp to keep things from getting too dour. Like I get attached enough to the victims that I feel bad when they die but not bad enough that I can’t enjoy the kills. Also Sienna goes through a LOT so I want her to succeed and get back a semblance of a normal life, but the tone keeps me from thinking “please let this franchise end so Sienna doesn’t suffer anymore” it’s a great balancing act and honestly I think it’ makes 3 my favorite slasher of all time and Sienna my favorite Final Girl
"I may disapprove of a movie for going too far, and yet have a sneaky regard for a movie that goes much, much farther than merely too far." - Roger Ebert
Pennywise literally rips a kids arm off in the beginning of It but this movie which doesn’t harm any kids on screen, just shows the aftermath, some how goes too far. Why does Pennywise get a pass?!
Stupid question. That scene kicks off the plot. Terrifyer 3 was two separate plots--one about sienna and the other about random massacres art is doing--before it kind of converges at the end through sheer coincidence. I'm not sure what "pass" you think pennywise is getting
@@truanalain4266 Killing kids on screen is okay if its for the plot, but killing kids off screen is not okay if its just to push your buttons. is that your opinion?
Side note: Not sure how I feel about middle school kids seeing Terrifier movies. Parents do what you want, but I got annoyed when kids were in Deadpool screenings.
Deadpool is the perfect 6th grade, 7th grade movie for any kid with the brains to buy a ticket for a different movie and just go to Deadpool instead. Its like Porky's and Friday the 13th were "that movie" back in the 80s.
Tbh it ain't like a middle schooler gonna get scared watching a deadpool movie if anything they're probably enjoy it but no kid should be watching the terrifier movies ... obviously Now if your 17 or smth , that's up to you...
Terrifier? I'd would 100% have found my way into that movie in 7th grade because, being a tall girl who could pass for A LOT older (not sexy older, blazer, glasses, briefcase and college vocabulary older...with a huge chip on my shoulder about being treated as a "child" and a deliberately adult way of carrying myself. I spoke only in full sentences and REFUSED to use contractions or slang. Tbh I'm pretty sure the ticket takers probably just didn't want to argue with me because I was a notoriously pretentious pain in the ass....
While I watched all sorts of shit when I was a kid, most kids will have never seen another movie to compare this one to, and I think this one is a bit too much for anyone younger than 15 or so
I disagree He has no real backstory and kills people senselessy (not saying it's bad) clown is the scarier movie ..imagine putting on a clown suit and not being able to take it off then becoming murderous to everyone around you and more disfigured as time goes on..that's scary
Terrifer 1 is the prologue Terrifier 2 is the proper start of the trilogy Terrifer 3 is the middle child that will be more appreciated when the fourth comes out And i hope terrifer 4 will be the satisfying conclusion
....I kinda dont want Terrifier to end tho. I wouldnt mind if it got drawn out more like the Saw franchise. The woketardism has ruined movies and its rare we get a gem like Terrifier steal the spotlight from the woketarded mainstream movies.
@@MalcomMalediction Saw had a great story to start but it got stale after awhile and it was a few movies too many. Terrfier really don't have much to the story and its getting to be the same thing over and over lol I;m not sure what more they can do to stretch it to 6 or 7 movies. But its hard to see them stopping with all the hype around it. Id be shocked if they stopped at 4 or even 5.
As far as the gore for me the tone matters. I really don't like gore but this is an absurd black comedy like Re-Animator. The characters are incredible and the movie is grotesquely fun. On the other hand you have something like Hereditary or the most recent Halloween where it's just bleak. I'm emotionally drained by the end and the violence is so much worse due to the serious tone. The famous Negan kill in TWD is another good example. That weirdly upset me so much even though I know it's fake.
The drained thing you mentioned is exactly how I felt after watching a Web series called KKHTA, It’s relentlessly depressing and violent, Though admittedly the start probably should have given me that impression. Though probably it being a derivative work of Touhou probably made it hit harder. Tried it as my first horror work and *MAN* it was not a good start and turned me off it.
Oh, also, I appreciate that Damien Leone seems to have taken the criticism and expanded Art’s antics to include more male victims-though he had already made good strides towards that in 2. Spoilers: I felt that bathroom scene saying, “Art will cut anyone in half genitalia first.”
I laughed at that. Oh look! A callback to Dawn! 😂 I was glad they did the same with the mashed potatoes scene by mashing Sienna's face into the corpse 😂
I agree. I hate gatekeeping. It sucks the fun out of belonging to a community, especially out of one as diverse, open-minded and fun as the horror community. Can't we just let each other be.
***These are my thoughts before seeing Terrifier 3 so this all based on the first 2 films*** I don't know if it is because the lack of new slasher icons or recency bias but I find the Terrifier movies to be OK and are being overly elevated due to the practical effects of the films. To me the practical effects gore are what carry this franchise so far because Art the Clown lacks what I like to call the testaments to the horror icon scripture. They are unwritten laws but ones that all the horror icons share and why they are iconic. The first testament is to have a good origin story that turns into tall tales of lore. For instance Freddy Kreuger was a child murderer that was killed by a mob of parents on Elm Street that took vigilante justice into their own hands and killed him. He was turned into a dream demon and kills you in your sleep. Jason Vorhees was a child with a developmental handicap who drowned in a lake due to negligence of teens and returns to the lake to kill. Michael Myers and Chucky have similar crazy origins. These have been established very easily in short scenes or exposition in their films and gives the audience an "idea" of what the killer is all about. The second testament is to have rules. We know Jason is nearly unstoppable with brute force alone but his weaknesses lie in his trauma. If someone can remind him of his mother or him at a young age you can cause him to pause and let his guard down. Submerging him in water tends to put him in a catatonic state. Chucky knows voodoo and is constantly racing time in order to switch out of his body into that of a real person. When we as the audience are made aware of these things we have more interest into the plot. We know what the killers are looking for or when the they might be walking into a trap. The third testament is that you never want your B side hero to be more interesting than the A side villain. Freddy has Nancy, Michael has Laurie, Chucky has Andy and these are all great B sides to the iconic killer A side. It takes 2 to tango after all. You want them to be a foil to the killer's plot and motive but they should never outshine them. Because Art lacks a good origin and lore Sienna comes off more interesting and is the A side. While Art's image might be more popular in media and merchandise, Sienna as far as story and plot and development go is the A side. Maybe some of my thoughts will change after seeing 3? I don't know but when people ask me if I see Art the Clown up there with the classic greats I say no. Not because he is newer but because he doesn't meet a lot of the same requirements. I don't see myself re-visiting them very often (probably never the first one again) and if I do it is just because of the amazing practical effects and the character of Sienna.
@w92viking64 Thank you. A lot of people tend to think I'm a hater of Art the clown because I don't see him as the new slasher icon. I don't hate him and maybe I do take all this "too serious" but I have reasons why he doesn't match up to the greats (yet if ever).
Loved what you pointed out and I agree. I think the Terrifier franchise is fun, but it doesn't have the depth to keep me invested. Art is undeniably fun as a character and humorous, but I don't feel like he has the gravitas that a Freddy Krueger has. You pointed out great reasons as to what's missing, and to add to that, I would offer that most great slashers have a motivation or goal and there's also a reflection of our society within them. Freddy with "stranger danger" and "milk carton kids" as well as Wes Craven's inspiration of stories he heard about soldiers dying in their sleep. Terrifier often feels derivative of these other works and that he's essentially just a clown who wants to murder for fun. Which, that could be a motivation, but not a very interesting one. We don't know his rules like you said as well or the rhyme or reason for why he targets who he targets. He just does. I'd also like to point out that almost all of the worst death scenes in these movies were given to women exclusively. Men die too, but the sheer mean-spiritedness and graphic kills were focused on women and girls. It's something to note coming from a male-driven production team. Obviously the same could be said for Friday and Elm and most other slashers.
So has it changed after seeing the third? I’d say with each movie he releases more backstory . There’s no rule that you have to explain the entire backstory of a villain in the first movie.
@@Beelzabussy Thank you for pointing out how the women seem to get the worst deaths! I actually missed that until I went back and looked at it. I think I subconsciously might have noticed it because I knew there was something else about the films that felt a bit mean spirited about it more so than most slashers. I think this element might be it. Even though you said it could be the same with other slashers and brought up Friday and Nightmare as examples I actually think they are not the case so much when I think about the deaths among the men and women. They seem to be equal opportunity killers as far a brutality goes.
I like your point about commentators demanding that people support movies. It’s hard to take them seriously when they praise everything like the future of the genre depends on it.
I think it's a good thing we don't know much about him. The Halloween and Nightmare on Elm Street franchises suffered once they gave too much away about Michael and Freddy's origins/motives... Dream demons and crappy cults. Yuck.
Its a horror movie u dont need all of Art's origin story or lore immediately. Damien is clever not to give it all away so that the cult following can try n make up their own interpretations of the Terrifier movies sort of like with the Danny Darko movie. Terrifier 3 did a lot of religious and supernatural themes...makes sense they chose Christmas cuz its a christian religious holiday. In my interpretation, Art is a cannibalistic clown from a hell dimension on Earth to terrify and torture his victims b4 feasting on their flesh and empowering himself. Sienna is his counterpart, she is a warrior angel from a heaven dimension incarnated on Earth to slay demonic serial killers like Art.
100% agree! This is what made me a fan of the House of 1000 Corpses series and Rob Zombie's other works. I saw House in the movies when it was relatively unknown along with Devil's Rejects and the campy-ness made them tolerable. Good analysis.
The title could not be a more accurate assessment, there were both moments in this movie that had me busting out laughing and being absolutely mortified
I absolutely loved this movie. My only complaint is so many people complained about the length of the second movie so they felt they had to leave stuff out for this one so it wasn't so long. So some spots felt like things were missing. I love the Terrifier movies and I'll take as much Art I can get.
0:41 Jason Patric?? Really? Wait, Jason Patric who played Michael in The Lost Boys? I didn't know he was in this. "Maggots, Michael. You're eating maggots how do they taste?"
Fantastic review. I loved this movie. Good point about how they actually put MORE lore into it. I’ve seen complaints about this one being “plotless” We may not have all these clean answers just yet, but definitely expanding the lore that’s been set. We get a nice gore fest that didnt undo what was put in motion, but sidestepped it for some good gory fun in this entry. Also, like you pointed out, he’s doing a long play with the story that will pay off when this franchise is complete and the whole storyline will make sense and feel earned and completed. Something we cannot say about most long running franchises, including Halloween, which you pointed out. Great video. Can’t wait for the 4th film.
I'm conflicted about it. i love the first two. they actually managed to create a main character thats interesting and one you actually root for. this is really difficult in the horror genre. they went for camp really hard in this and i feel like they were establishing enough lore in the second one that they really had some interesting things to work with here. i feel like the main characters were wasted here and didnt advance much of the lore. i like this one but i feel like its almost a side story like a dr. who christmas special or something
You know what’s funny? I never knew that part 2 was in theaters until I went to the protagonist’s Instagram and there was a premiere for it that she went to
As soon as Art's backstory is told, the mystery and fear of the unknown will disappear. As long as there is no explanation for the what and why, interest will be tantalized and teased. At the same time that the audience craves enlightenment, it knows its interest will fall off.
I can't explain it but I love rewatching the Terrifier movies while i nap in the Lazy boy. It's def comfort horror for me and it always makes me giggle
@@kkalani97 and imo their parents are irresponsible. I genuinely don’t believe minor children should be allowed to watch these films. I personally wouldn’t allow a child under 14 watch this unsupervised (I wouldn’t allow it at all but especially unsupervised). This level of graphic violence???? Absolutely not. It’s corruption of a minor. I’m not arguing a point I’m stating a fact, please respect that. I’m not going back & forth over this. I’m not telling you or anyone else what to do I’m stating my opinion & yes my judgments of parents that allow this. I watched Saw with my son when he was 14 & he refused to go to his after school activities afterwards because he was afraid someone would snatch him up like in the movie. (15yrs later he’s still a little leery about mall parking lots) I thought he was ready for that type of film & I unnecessarily traumatized him. And that was the 1st Saw I can’t even imagine exposing my son at that time to this movie. Absolutely not. It’s irresponsible the damage they’re doing to their kids.
14:35. Sooooooooo, about that. Yeahhhhhhh, I had always thought Pet Sematary was a dark comedy. All of the scares are full of cynicism and cheese. At least I thought they were. Well, I didn't know it is a serious and emotional movie until I had watched the film with others and I got some really nasty looks as I found so many scenes to be funny. The Gage and truck scene was no exception. I guess I really embody that Nic Cage "right in the eye" meme.
Art the clown is Freddy Krueger turned up to 11. If you really look at Freddy, he was as mean-spirited as Art is. He also became more wisecracky as the franchise progressed. Art doesn't speak but he does do goofy stuff like the scene with the novelty glasses in the Halloween shop in part 2. I'm not a big fan of the drawn-out kills and Art is still lacking something all the horror icons that came before him had: an origin story. I'm not crazy about the first Terrifier, but i enjoyed the wackiness of the second and loved watching Sienna take him down a peg. Haven't seen 3 yet, but will eventually.
I have a lot of theories, and I strongly encourage you to re-check out All Hallow’s Eve, as there are some references to it sprinkled throughout Terrifier 2 and especially 3. I have a feeling it’s definitely going to up the ante next time around and there are MANY more “monsters” to come. But, ya know, that’s just a theory. Also I would be down to see your top 10 favorite “trick or treating” scenes in movies. 🎃
Spoiler warning :This movie was so dark , going into the main girls mind and how they needed medication to deal with everything that happened the glass rubbing one out , the crown of thorns and the sui cide and the mom thinking her daughter was dead before being killed , then finding out it was her brother , the mall scene where she freaked out and everyone not believing her thinking she’s crazy then the kids at the mall, also how sad the beginning was with the kid thinking it was his sister but then got hit and then the mom seeing what happened to her son and getting got right after this isn’t even everything but Jesus this movie was dark
I wasn't too keen on the first movie, I, loved part 2 a bit long but still fantastic. I haven't seen this yet, but, I can't wait to see it Art is hilarious and his "innocence" in his joy when he's doing his killing it cracks me up. It's like he can't understand why people don't like what he's doing so he's just gonna try harder. As for stream I really want to see that too 👍🏻
I can definitely see Terrifier films being a Halloween to Christmas watch. Currently “Black Christmas” is my Christmas Eve watch. I watch loads around Halloween.
I've only seen a couple of those but I think they're pretty fun. Definitely made for genre fans just to have a good time, without every leaning so hard into camp that it becomes toothless.
Totally agree with this review-it was totally funny until it got dark! Wasn’t expecting that level of scare at the end. I thought the end was more disturbing than the rest of the movie. I was also nervous going in-Art is an intimidating character.
I own the first two movies. Do I love them as much as the 80s classics? No, but I do enjoy them for being so over the top. Saw the 3rd movie Thursday night mainly because I wanted to support this scrappy low budget franchise and I saw it as more of a comedy. The audience was laughing, but I feel like I was laughing at more things than most people because of just how absurd they are. Like, the lore of the movie makes virtually no sense. They just kinda make things up as they go along, Art dies and comes back to life, gets his head cut off, the lady from the first movie grows back the head somehow? It's nonsense, but it's so much fun that I do not care. 3 is very oddly paced because you get the silly gory stuff with Art and then the serious drama character stuff with Sienna and it doesn't quite jell, but I still had such a fun time with this. I will be seeing part 4 as long as they don't attempt to hold back.
This is the issue they make no sense. Without the gore these films would be drek. Actually there are still shite but people love gore more than story, plot and acting (bar Art who is very well acted)
@@w92viking64 Most action movies without the action are drek. I love Mad Max Fury Road, but that film has no real plot, but the action is magnificent. It doesn't matter how well written a comedy is if it's not funny, it's not a comedy, while The Room is celebrated for being so bad it's funny. The Terrifier movies aren't complex works of art, but they are entertaining (to me). The gore is just the equivalent of toilet humor in an Adam Sandler comedy or musical numbers in a musical.
@@julius-starkfair play I’m glad you enjoy . I’d prefer it if the director got a good writer on board and stuck to the effects stuff. Then you could have a good story and the over the top gore. Let’s face it he has clearer got some good ideas just doesn’t have the ability to write a good script. It is possible to have both, and even if the story is fairly simple if it makes sense within the rules it establishes it would make for a much better film
The only slasher movie from the 80’s I still enjoy is THE BURNING 🔥 🩸🗡️‼️ and Before someone tells me it’s a Friday the 13th knock off,I will point out THE BURNING was already in the can whilst Friday the 13th was still in production. Friday the 13th was released just before THE BURNING stealing THE BURNING’S flowers. As for Terrifier 1/2/3 they’re not exactly reinventing the wheel, maybe those who’ve only seen Hollywood horror movies will find Terrifier shocking, well I suggest you watch Japanese horror extreme movies. They were doing things 30 years ago that makes Terrifier movies look like Sesame Street 😂🩸🗡️
Art and his friend would not be out of place in the Evil Dead world. I see all the deaths are blamed on the Main Character (MC) and they could get her to train.
ha! Michael Levy! We worked on Penance Lane and he and the Fuzz on the Lens crew were big winners at the first couple years of my film festival here in Georgia!
They are going to have to come up with a compelling origin for Art. And soon. The supernatural aspect of Art has to be explained if this franchise is to remain compelling. At least for me. What is the motive or reason for Art? Even if it’s just insanity. Lay your cards on the table. And with Art there are supernatural aspects that need to be addressed.Gore for gore’s sake is weak sauce after a while. For me. They have created a character that is much more compelling, frightful and interesting than Michael Myers, Freddy Kruger and Jason Vorhees. Leatherface almost comes close. The actor playing Art brings such nuance.
@@cobwebschannel Not yet. I was avoiding it as I was tired of no explanation for the supernatural aspects of Art. It just becomes gore for gore’s sake. Give me a compelling origin or reason why Art is Art and I’d be interested again.
Terrible take. The whole USP of Terrifier is the extreme violence and gore. The nonsense plot and supernatural stuff is window dressing. Who cares about it.
This is what makes me nervous for the Terrifier movies. The films need to keep some questions unanswered. Once they are answered, then every action can be rationalized and dissected.
I have never saw any Art The Clown movies so I bought the original anthology one and will proceed from there. Excited for a new horror icon and yes I’m scared of clowns 😂
Daniel I was waiting for your terrifier 3 video!! I’m writing this comment before watching the video! I loved it but I’m a huge fan of the series and gore. Sienna is awesome! I’m hoping the fourth movie becomes the terrifier Army of Darkness and more of a dark fantasy action movie where sienna goes to the underworld and slays demons! Also there was a ton of partners with kids aged 3-13 in my screening last night.
x Thinking of the last video...I forgot to mention anything about Satan's Little Helper (which I watched last year). o That is a very unqiue movie that seemed like it would be very hard to pull of for the actors! † It's almost like every character has to also act like a psychopath for the movie to have that pace! x For the Halloween schedule for the 26th, I am adding Poltergeist to the double feature to make it a Suburban Movie Marathon: 1.) Poltergeist 2.) The Burbs 3.) Fright Night x I added the Terrifier Trilogy to my February Watchlist, but it is likely to move to another time that is more ideal.
I think these are awesome movies. While watching 3 I was thinking that it wasn’t as extreme as 2 was, but that’s probably because I had watched 2 earlier in the day and was desensitized. When I ran through 3 in my head later it was plenty gruesome. 😅 I love Art’s mannerisms and attitude. That makes him so much more interesting than so many of the other characters people have tried to push as the next Freddy or Jason. Keep ‘em coming! (Great episode/review, btw.)
Yeah, agreed…I had rewatched the first and the second the previous days, and of course, the second doesn’t shy away from details, close-ups, and all of the killings, this 3rd one is a bit more filtered when it comes to some of the kills, and is about 20 minutes shorter…so I wasn’t all thrilled by the end, the way I was after watching the 2nd one in the theatre two years ago.
These movies def aren't for me, but I do always think its kinda smart when I see a horror Christmas film because you can release it theatrically in October and have it ready for home release/streaming by December haha
Terrifier 1 establishes Art and Vicky. It obviously showed Art being the main antagonist l, but it did hint at Vicky being a constant as well especially towards the end. I agree with you though, i went into T3 nervous for sime reason. Art is kind of unpredictable in his methods. I will say, the bar scene was hysterical. It really peppered in some great humor to break up the gore fest
@@SonicMrSumo yup. Trying too hard to be scary and gory makes it boring and corny. I swear a lot of these movie reviews exaggerate how much they like some of these movies to keep appealing to their audience
It is plotless and all based on a sick contract between director and audience 'the race to nausea', 'to what limits will I push you to unease you ?' It is very very poor, aside from the campiness
I'm going to see it, and I'm nervous. Lol I've seen one of the other terrifier movies and didn't like it. The only reason I want to see this one is for the Christmas theme. I love scary Christmas movies. ❤
I've seen all three films. One problem with the scene in which he kills several children is that this scene just wasn't very good. In the audience, everyone was reacting with gasps, laughter and (in one case) applause throughout. After that scene, there was silence. It wasn't funny and it didn't add to the plot. It just felt like killing children for the sake of it.
Im not a gore hound by any means, but I love the Terrifier movies. The first one is still my favorite. I really don't care for the holiday swapping, Art should always be a Halloween character. Its like Michael Myers killing people on Easter, it doesn't fit.
A lot of people were concerned about the Christmas angle because it involves kids, and I just want to reassure people that yes, don't worry, he does indeed kill a bunch of kids it's all good
Maybe your like me and you dind the realism of saw/hostel/wolf-creek to be off-putting. I like the supernatural entity characters better bc it makes the brutality for me easier to digest
I don’t watch what disgusts me. I loathe the “Terrifier” movies and am beginning to loathe all the horror movies that have the wreck Christmas trope. Have at it. I’ll pass.
The director painted himself into a corner now where he has to top out the gore of the preceding films. Therefore it’s really short on plot and characterization. This new one was heavy on practical effects gore but you really did not have time to even care about the characters. That’s what happens when you spoil an effective device and allow it to swamp the entirety of other aspects that make your franchise worth viewers’ time
Totally agree with your take on "having to watch or not watch stuff".... for the most part, I dont watch torture films like Saw, Hostle, etc and I kinda stay away from films that make a point of hurting kids (though IT is one of my favorite movies)....but I dont try to control or tell people what to watch and not watch ...that is a pet peeve when I hear people say: "you're not a real horror fan if you dont like this or that"...
I love "body horror" just as much as I love any other genre of horror. And Terrifier 2 made me "ugh" out loud and almost turn my head. Especially during the "bed scene". So I'm excited for 3 and I love that it's a Christmas movie.
I had never wanted to watch the Terrifier movies because I always thought they were just empty movies with the only porpouse of been 100% morbid shock value and nothing more... This video is the first thing ever that has actually make me wanna wach the movies, I am now genuinly intrigued...
Funny you mention not being a fan of saw or hostel but love the terrifier movies. I’m a huge fan of saw and hostel but these movies are very hard to stomach for me. Art also makes me uncomfortable. He’s funny but he’s also scary because you know he’s gonna do something insane within seconds. I get the same adrenaline I usually get with saw but mixed with all kinds of terror and anxiety and dread. Also Vicky made me so sick every time she was on screen eugh
I've only watched the first Terrifier movie and I really disliked it, so I've never bothered with the others. But maybe I'll give em' another chance someday.
When I was younger, I really enjoyed gore for gore's sake - it didn't matter what happened to people. The more decapitations, the better. But this kind of mean spiritedness is definitely not my bag. I did not like the Hostel movies and while I liked the first Terrifier okay, this one really bothered me. Part 3, from the scenes I saw, is not for me. I like the first Saw because it was unique; 2 was okay but after that, I was not at all interested. Wolf Creek I like for its presentation, but I did not enjoy what happened in it (if that makes sense). I've decided "torture porn" is just not my style. Art is just not for me. When I watched In a Violent Nature, I got to the point where I was not even reacting to the gore because I didn't really understand the point. I was not even affected by the now infamous yoga girl death scene. I did however, react to the scene with the poor Sheriff and the log cutting machine. It was very reminiscent of one of the Wolf Creek scenes where the poor person had their spine paralyzed by the guy. Now just old fashioned gore parts of that movie did make me giggle (he uses the head to break the window and then his body to open the glass case where his mask is). I burst out laughing at that. But the rest, meh. What I am meanderingly saying, I agree. Sorry it took a dissertation to get to that. hehehe

Tbh it ain't like a middle schooler gonna get scared watching a deadpool movie if anything they're probably enjoy it but no kid should be watching the terrifier movies ... obviously
Now if your 17 or smth , that's up to you...
@@dyshawnshine3644 Damien Leone has said he worries about the franchise going on too long and jumping the shark.
Agreed! Art's expressions make the gory scenes funny
100 %-the last Halloween is impossibly bleak and I didn’t watch that episode of TWD for that reason.

I agree. I hate gatekeeping. It sucks the fun out of belonging to a community, especially out of one as diverse, open-minded and fun as the horror community. Can't we just let each other be.
Absolutely.
***These are my thoughts before seeing Terrifier 3 so this all based on the first 2 films***
I don't know if it is because the lack of new slasher icons or recency bias but I find the Terrifier movies to be OK and are being overly elevated due to the practical effects of the films.
So spot on!!!!!!
Either high praise or outright demonize and act like the film killed their mother. Rarely is there a review inbetween.
I don’t know. 5 movies in and we still have no idea what Art the clown back story or reasons are.
Murder is hilarious that's all you need to know
He will be forgotten no way he will have the staying power of the 80s icons. The clown mime shit is already getting dull
he has no reasons, he just likes killing
So excited to watch this one, I loved the heavy Halloween atmosphere of the second movie.
The title could not be a more accurate assessment, there were both moments in this movie that had me busting out laughing and being absolutely mortified
I absolutely loved this movie. My only complaint is so many people complained about the length of the second movie so they felt they had to leave stuff out for this one so it wasn't so long.
Hey, thank you Justin!
I disagree...being evil is a lame reasoning

I still think the next should be July 4th base with adorable sparkler glasses. 😆
Have you watched 3 yet? There are answers to some of this in 3, though not everything just yet.

Once they are answered, then every action can be rationalized and dissected.

x I added the Terrifier Trilogy to my February Watchlist, but it is likely to move to another time that is more ideal.
We're never going to get a trick r treat 2, are we.

Comfort and horror should be an oxymoron
In the “quirky drink too much pumpkin spice coffe horror fanatic” world it’s not.
They would have to fundamentally change the horror genre into something unrecognizable to make it stop being comfy lol.
A+ video!
LOVE IT! Looks great!
I'm going to see it, and I'm nervous. Lol I've seen one of the other terrifier movies and didn't like it. The only reason I want to see this one is for the Christmas theme. I love scary Christmas movies. ❤
The little pale girl possesed vicki at the end of 2. Thats how Vicki birthed his head. Same glowing eyes. Same character.
Absolutely.
Its fine. I laughed through the whole thing.
I think Stephen Kings sequel to the Shinning, Doctor Sleep had Pet Cemetery beat in being disturbing ... I had to look away all through it.
Yeah...that one scene.
Yeah so I'm never going to watch this.. But can someone tell me who that lady is? I'm curious.
I was cringing through like half the movie. I don't watch it for the gore, I just like watching Art
It's Schlocky Horror Fun and disturbing beats reminds of the more mean spirited of Troma Studios movies from the 90's .
I don’t watch what disgusts me. I loathe the “Terrifier” movies and am beginning to loathe all the horror movies that have the wreck Christmas trope.
Have at it.
I’ll pass.
Agreed. Watched the second film in theaters. Bottom of the barrel gore porn with a terrible plot.
Why are you here?
Thanks for telling us, I wouldn't know what to do if you didn't.

@@death_dodger7 I love cheesy horror
They should bring back the evil-doer in the 4th movie.
Don’t bother your first instinct is correct no substance just gore
I love Terrifier. Art the clown really makes this franchise. He's unlike any other slasher out there.
Hope they don’t start going towards a dark comedy route . I noticed this one was way more comedic than the first 2 .
"Haven't seen the Saw franchise and barely made it through the third one."
The first film is brilliant. Second one is a to goofy
Great review!!!☠🤡
Lauren LaVera is a real QT cutie. Her beauty comes from the sole.
Sorry it took a dissertation to get to that. hehehe
