    I've learned so much from your videos. Not only do they sound fantastic, but the "walkthrough" you overlay over it is indescribably helpful for someone looking to enter the world of synths and effects. Thank you so much for posting these.

      I’m happy to hear that :-). Glad I could be of help 🎛️🎶

    Thanks for sharing this. I have 2 S-1s and I am finding them to give a lot of expression. These walk throughs are very helpful for me. The music is great too.

    My S1 will be arriving in the mail tomorrow. Seems like such a fun little sound design device.
    As always you amazing talent in creating amazing hypnotizing tracks with such minimalist setups is an inspiration!

    That's a great idea, to progressively lengthen the sequence! Going to have to steal that.

      Thanks. It’s a fun way to get more variation out of a simple sequence 😀🎛️

    I don't know how you pull it off every single time, but you do, and this sounded lovely again.

      Thanks. It’s a very capable little box 😊.

    lovely! and so informative. you treat the synth as an instrument rather than relying on presets and recorded movements. very instructional. Thank you!

    Wow, I was all set for a wave state but this has me rethinking. It’s everything I love in a tiny package. Brilliant.

    Great piece! The s-1 can really do no wrong. One of my favorite synths to jam with. Every time I use it I save at least one new sequence ❤

    • @Waveformer

      Yeah, it has a lot of sweet spots 🎶🎛️

    Sounds per meter squared is on point, but such a tiny portion on such a huge plate! Maybe with a few more friends... I'd like to hear S1 next to Micromonsta, but any companions thru the same chain would be off the hook.
    Thanks for posting these annotated videos. The annotation really helps when I don't know the synth very well, or if it's a tiny UI or you've remapped some knobs.

    I'm attempting a similar setup, but when running audio out from Koala (or anything, actually) to my mix in, it only comes through the left channel of my mixer. The S-1 is coming through stereo. I'm using a patch cable, suddenly thinking I should be using a regular aux cable 🤔 Edit: That was (in retrospect, obviously) the culprit.

      Koala sampler is great! 🎛️😀

    I really like the jam, lovely sounds from Roland! I don't know much the new mini series, bit I Have almost all of Aira. It's s a relieve to enjoy a simple nice jam after all my over-complicated projects. I can't find such a simplicity inside of me ... Was it given to you, or you've learned the minimalistic approach?

      I find it inspiring to sometimes limit the number of boxes and focus on learning a single box and how to make the most of it 🎛️🎶.

    Any info or help on adding your patch to the S-1 would be great?

    Nice performance! Can you please share what audio leads you’re using? I have an S1, iPhone and have just purchased the mini Kaoss pad 2s. Would love to try your setup!

      It’s just some random short minijack cables I bought from AliExpress. Probably this one: OOTDTY 90 Degree Right Angled 3.5mm Jack Male To Male 3.5mm Male To Female Stereo Audio Cable For Car AUX Computer Speakers MP3

    Question for you…how did you get the tone and sound of the keys to change without changing the whole sound of the sequence??

  • @frederic4108
    @frederic4108 ปีที่แล้ว

    In the Korg Mini Kaoss Pad 2S manual, I read that it can record up to 10 s when in mode SAMPLE. How long can be the recording in MASTER SAMPLE mode?

    How do you load the pattern/ patch file into the S1? Do you drag the file into the Restore folder on the S1, eject the USB drive from your PC and then press the hold button until ‘done’ lights up on the S1, then turn it off and on again?

    • @Waveformer
      @Waveformer  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I followed the user manual to back up all the patches. The PC app created a Backup folder with all the patches in and an empty Restore folder. If I copy the patch file to the empty Restore folder (so it contains only that one file) and then follow the user manual instructions on how to restore patches, only that patch was transferred to the S-1. The patch files can be renamed, changing the bank number or the program number. I don’t have the S-1 here at the moment, so I can’t give you more detailed instructions. Hope that helps :-).

    • @edtraylen8581
      @edtraylen8581 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That’s very helpful thanks. So hopefully the S1 will keep the preset patches along with your additional patch?

    • @Waveformer
      @Waveformer  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@edtraylen8581 you decide which patch it will overwrite by the file name you give it. The rest of the patches in the S-1 will be left as they are. It’s always a good idea to back up your S-1 first, using the same app.
