INSTAGRAM THRIFT STORES/VINTAGE STORES RECOMMENDATIONS ‼️ (P.S. : READ CAPTION)
I’ve tried to keep this as simple and direct as possible.
Thrifted products ofcourse CAN be vintage as well. But there’s a distinction when it becomes curated. Vintage products are curated by vintage stores, vintage piece sellers etc. Now; Thrifting also has a welfare value. & Also while thrifting products, they may be products that also be inclusive of fast fashion products. You may find old Zara, H&M pieces etc. But that cannot be defined as vintage; hence, in the video i tried to explain that simply, but it may seem vague if you’re not reading the caption. Finding a ‘vintage’ piece while thrifting is like finding money on the street out of nowhere.
Now, “vintage” is a term that, i swear, everyone has a different meaning for vintage 💀 and with the rise of Gen Z fashion, the term is kind of losing meaning. But, core community will just make its value further increase. Because now there’s going to be more emphasis. With vintage, a crucial segment is going to be the year of the product. A product 2-3-4 years old isn’t going to be vintage just like that. The piece holds value in its material, quality, story, construction etc.

Bulk buying is foolish because only a few selected clothes are branded and are hyped. Then what will you do with the rest of the clothes?

Thrift does not mean that you buy any old clothes and start selling them. Thrift culture is very famous in the world because people keep different collections of streetwear. There are some special brands which are always in a lot of hype. So what will you do with the rest of the clothes except a few clothes in a single collection. So buying in bulk without selecting is nothing but a waste of money.
