Here's the thing. It's not really blowing mist into your nostrils but there is little water on the filter which gradually evaporates without any external effort cooling down the air around it. The moisture content hence is not gonna be substantial to harm you in any way even for 24/7 use. The air around us already has a lot of moisture and our lungs are capable or removing water in lungs. If any one has any credible reason that it would still harm anyone then do tell I'm listening.

Naturally, you'll catch a cold, and in the long run, might have some severe issue with lungs. If you have a breathing problem or sinus, this is gonna make it worse. Do you remember childhood? Our mother asked us not to drink water or sit in the ac directly coming from the scorching heat of sun. If you can't remember you can always google it. And remember this is worse than AC.

In a front collision this device will break and choke your windpipe. As mentioned it is good in stop start traffic in city rides i suppose. One question i have is where will the inlet pipe go if your helmet had a chin curtain like mine 🤔
*One thing i would like to highlight here..* I have the Blusnap Version 1 and i certainly find many better things now. 1: Of course weight reduction.. My old version was was actually heavy, start days i had serious pain in my neck but later on aadat pad gayi.. 2: Visibility: Old was was big and bulky, when u try to look down(Mainly speedometer) on the bike while riding, U actually have to take ur heavy head a bit down to see the speedo. This one looks a bit sorted as it is not that upwards.... 3: The mounting: My old one had a big strap, which actually kinda spoiled the helmet's look, also when u have the strap and the blusnap on, taking the visor up was a task. This one is on the chinbar and just perfectly done.... 4: The water in the device: this can be a pro for you but it's a con for me. My blusnap with full water tank has cooling of about an hour, while this has no water tank, it will actually get warmer very soon, that means u will eventually take frequent stops. So yeah these were the differences i noticed, i definately like the product, no issues whatsoever.
We usually don't feel heat on head . It's the body which feels the heat . We need AC for jacket not head . What if we die of cold head or catch cold as seem like air hits the nose directly....
I live in vegas and summer here needs something for scooter riders driving 30mph in 115 degrees and 3 to 5 minutes at traffic lights... I almost pass out.. Very hot very dangerous. So is this a fan or an actual air conditioner.
I feel we should be able to inject water onto the filter on the fly, while riding, without having to do the filter dip process to make it more practical. Maybe in version 3

The filter used in BluSnap is used in standard humidifier filters that are soaked in standing water. The filter is pre-treated to prevent bacterial/fungal growth. The filter's life time is 6 months. Depending on the dust-levels in the roads and the extent of usage, you will need to wash the filter under tap water every 1-2 weeks

Thats the most gimmicky thing ever. I've never seen bulu bhai or any other tourer to use helmet Ac ever. As dev said consant blow of humid air directly to nose and eyes can cause serious complication of sinus over a period of time. for air purification use simple filter based masks.

Steelbird air 2 has a visor that extends all the way down and leaves no space on the chin bar for placing the chin mount. I am afraid you cannot use BluSnap2 with the steelbird air 2
pranil pandit there will be no fogging on the visor. In fact, BluSnap is an effective defogger since it flows cool air into the helmet. We have had customers use the product in Leh in cold weather as a defogger.

And did you in the video when he started the AC, the visor is already getting filled with FOG.
sai satya we have had customers use the product purely as a defogger in leh when the outside temperature was < 10 deg c. In cold weather, the temperature inside the helmet is higher than the temperature outside - this is what causes fogging. Thats a lot of weight to the front of your helmet. This could make your helmet loose- something that is pretty dangerous. Plus, makes me feel weird to have such a huge electronic product right in front of me while riding. Worst part- it's right in front of your chest- god only knows what this would do at the time of a frontal impact.

If AC meant an air cooler, then it is a good product. But if AC meant air conditioner, the device is nowhere close. A true air conditioner needs to have peltier cooling as a bare minimum
mit miranda blusnap is a miniaturised air cooler. Peltier coolers are extremely inefficient (we spent a fair bit of time evaluating them) and in my opinion, not a good choice for cooling the body. The input power needed is extremely high
Let me give you a review of this product. Although I will tell you about Version 1, you will get the idea. So I bought this product last summer hoping to get what they are advertising. The first thing after installing I found that the helmet got heavy around 200-250 gms(that even without water). Since it got heavy from the front only, the helmet started to put the strain on my neck as it is not distributed like it did when a helmet is made. So get ready for it. Next point is, it did not work as many times due to air, water refuses to go into filter compartment. Now this one does not have a water reservoir. So I tell you, it will be pretty cumbersome to re-soak the filter with water every time during a ride as without water, the V1 could not last more than 10 mins max. So for V2, I don't think it will be more than 20 mins(best scenario). Now the main point. After passing the above points, you still think you can get cool air inside your helmet so my friends you are thinking wrong. The air will not go beyond the front of your as the foam padding inside your helmet will block it. Not even till forehead. So be ready for a little less warm nose and lips if you care. Lastly, I'm not against the Indian company but don't do false advertising. It's a helmet water cooler not an AC. There is another company who actually testing helmet AC which works through battery and thermodynamics. So don't fool people. Hope this will save someone's money.

They replaced my unit with another one but same thing started to happen with another one to(air in reservoir). So it was a bad design and I understand they could not have done anything more. Since V2 does not have reservoir, it solely depends on filter's water soaking capabilities and I highly doubt it will not last more than 15-20 mins in dry heat, seeing the size and comparing it with V1's filter size. Lastly the people who use to ride a helmet with camera or any other mount, I didn't wrote my review for them. I wrote it for normal people of commute daily. Just for their information that it will get heavy from the front and put strain on neck. I just wrote information that will help anyone to let them know every other aspect of this product also. Not downgrading our India based company. Hope all this information may help.
WhatThisVideo thanks again for the response. As you rightly point out, the reservoir design in gen1 has limitations due to air block ( and the possibility of water dripping). This has been addressed in gen2 by moving to a “dunkable” cartridge where there is no flowing water or air block. We have been stress testing the product in Bangalore (bangalore has been recording 36-38C over the past couple of weeks), and a single dunk lasts anywhere between 1h15m and 1h30m in traffic conditions (not highway). Commuters are very much our target segment and a lot of the testing is done with their use-case in mind. I am happy to ship you a gen2 product for you to test. Believing that it will last only 20 mins is a misconception that I would like to correct. You have supported us in our journey by ordering our gen1 unit and I am deeply appreciative of that. Helmets are Aero designed to reduce drag. Fitting this demolishes the design of a helmet and also is not safe in case of an accident coz it can break the visor or worst the part that blows air inside can cause serious injury to face or/and to neck.. Fot that fact alone, it shouldn't be Used.Though a nice idea bt a safety hazard... and nt to mention, a paid promotion.
I bought version2 just 2 weeks back, as in this video. In mumbai its useless even at 30 kmph speed. I only feel little air at red light stops, which stops at chin only, and no feeling above

If AC meant an air cooler, then it is a good product. But if AC meant air conditioner, the device is nowhere close. A true air conditioner needs to have peltier cooling as a bare minimum
mit miranda blusnap is a miniaturised air cooler. Peltier coolers are extremely inefficient (we spent a fair bit of time evaluating them) and in my opinion, not a good choice for cooling the body. The input power needed is extremely high
Let me give you a review of this product.
Although I will tell you about Version 1, you will get the idea.
So I bought this product last summer hoping to get what they are advertising. The first thing after installing I found that the helmet got heavy around 200-250 gms(that even without water).
Since it got heavy from the front only, the helmet started to put the strain on my neck as it is not distributed like it did when a helmet is made. So get ready for it.
Next point is, it did not work as many times due to air, water refuses to go into filter compartment. Now this one does not have a water reservoir. So I tell you, it will be pretty cumbersome to re-soak the filter with water every time during a ride as without water, the V1 could not last more than 10 mins max. So for V2, I don't think it will be more than 20 mins(best scenario).
Now the main point. After passing the above points, you still think you can get cool air inside your helmet so my friends you are thinking wrong. The air will not go beyond the front of your as the foam padding inside your helmet will block it. Not even till forehead. So be ready for a little less warm nose and lips if you care.
Lastly, I'm not against the Indian company but don't do false advertising. It's a helmet water cooler not an AC. There is another company who actually testing helmet AC which works through battery and thermodynamics. So don't fool people.
Hope this will save someone's money.

1. Our website (and the associated FAQ) is quite clear that in terms of technology, what we have built is a miniaturized air cooler. We don’t claim that our product is an air conditioner.
2. The weight on gen2 is 25% lower than gen1. We have now had riders complete 2000+ kms of testing on gen2, and the feedback has been positive
3. Directionality of air flow is very important to achieve the desired cooling effectiveness, and it is possible that was one of the reasons why you felt it didn’t help you. If you can share your contact info (or order #), we are more than happy to give you a call and understand if there is a way to improve your experience.

@@PK_CEOBluArmor Hi and thanks for reply. I already had a contact with customer support. I tell you it was a nice experience. They replaced my unit with another one but same thing started to happen with another one to(air in reservoir). So it was a bad design and I understand they could not have done anything more.
Since V2 does not have reservoir, it solely depends on filter's water soaking capabilities and I highly doubt it will not last more than 15-20 mins in dry heat, seeing the size and comparing it with V1's filter size.
Lastly the people who use to ride a helmet with camera or any other mount, I didn't wrote my review for them. I wrote it for normal people of commute daily. Just for their information that it will get heavy from the front and put strain on neck.
I just wrote information that will help anyone to let them know every other aspect of this product also. Not downgrading our India based company.

WhatThisVideo thanks again for the response. As you rightly point out, the reservoir design in gen1 has limitations due to air block ( and the possibility of water dripping). This has been addressed in gen2 by moving to a “dunkable” cartridge where there is no flowing water or air block. We have been stress testing the product in Bangalore (bangalore has been recording 36-38C over the past couple of weeks), and a single dunk lasts anywhere between 1h15m and 1h30m in traffic conditions (not highway). Commuters are very much our target segment and a lot of the testing is done with their use-case in mind.
I am happy to ship you a gen2 product for you to test. Believing that it will last only 20 mins is a misconception that I would like to correct. You have supported us in our journey by ordering our gen1 unit and I am deeply appreciative of that. I would love to have the opportunity to have you try out our gen2 solution. Maybe you will like that better.

Best AC for rider long ride
Helmets are Aero designed to reduce drag. Fitting this demolishes the design of a helmet and also is not safe in case of an accident coz it can break the visor or worst the part that blows air inside can cause serious injury to face or/and to neck.. Fot that fact alone, it shouldn't be Used.Though a nice idea bt a safety hazard... and nt to mention, a paid promotion.

In mumbai its useless even at 30 kmph speed. I only feel little air at red light stops, which stops at chin only, and no feeling above
