      @@KingandQueenofCountrySwing We're in Texas (Houston area). Things are little more traditional style country dance here than other places in Texas. Lots of Two Step, WCS, Waltz, Polka. Glad to see you guys are still getting out dancing!

    You guys are adorable and make me want to dance! Question - how is this happening during covid? I didn’t see any masks other than the one person at the door.

    • @KingandQueenofCountrySwing
      @KingandQueenofCountrySwing  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      They ask that you wear a mask when you walk in, but don't regulate you wearing a mask during dancing. They also keep track of how many people are in the hall too! But honestly, if you're going dancing, you're kind of just running that risk yourself. We've already had Covid which is why we even felt comfortable going back finally!

    • @KingandQueenofCountrySwing
      @KingandQueenofCountrySwing  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It depends on where you go dancing! Line dances can change from state to state, or even bar to bar/hall to hall. There's definitely no right or wrong way to do a line dance - it just depends on your location and how they do it there! We share tutorials on our local line dances because those are the ones we know and love! 😊

    So I’m asking for a friend…if my friend has been begging her husband to learn country swing and he said yes 🙌🏼, where could they go and potentially run into you cuties to learn some amazing moves from lol? Or really just in general? We, I mean they live in the Ogden area but everywhere is less than an hour away. You guys are amazing and I could watch you dance for hours, it’s just so beautiful.

      Wow, thank you so much! We typically go dancing in Provo on center street at Southworth Hall! (Every Wednesday & Saturday is country dancing.) Just DM us when you plan to go so we know to be there 😉 There's also some fun places up in Salt Lake that are great and have more of a 30's crowd!

  • @viennamarr776

    In your beginner tutorials you say you can chain moves together. But when you are actually dancing how do you know what move you are doing next?

    • @KingandQueenofCountrySwing
      @KingandQueenofCountrySwing  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      It's up to the man to lead and know which moves he wants to do next and the lady to follow :) It definitely takes practice!

    Love your videos! We are from Texas and I’ve noticed that especially at this dance hall you dance in one spot instead of circling around the floor? Is that just a Texas thing to travel around?? We’ve dancing in other states and noticed they too dance in one spot!

    • @KingandQueenofCountrySwing
      @KingandQueenofCountrySwing  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Probably because most people in Texas do Texas two-step which travels around the floor. Country swing doesn't travel as much. It just depends on the style of dancing people prefer to do at that specific hall.

    "And Shalee almost dies" - LOLOLOL - Gotta admit, my heart stopped a few times - especially @ 4:03 - YIKES!! Although I'm sure Grant would never do anything to truly jeopardize Shalee's safety - I just loved the way all those gentleman kept them nice and surrounded just in case. I've always said, country folk are the best folk in the world. So, my name is Kelley - and I'm a brand new subscriber to your channel, and am very grateful to have found you both! My husband and I have been married for almost 20 years, which is about how long we've been trying to learn country swing dance, and believe it or not, we are still amateurs! I'd love to learn more about your favorite places to go, what ya'll like to wear and how you two got into doing the magic that you do! This is only the third video I've seen from your channel, so I apologize in advance if these questions have already been answered in other videos. 😉

      Aww thank you. Glad you are here watching. Especially with new lifts we are always very careful and use lots of spotters. Its a process but we get things figured out usually.
