Amazing tour🤘🏽🤘🏽 I caught them in Tampa and they were awesome. Troy did Dave proud. Perry was a bit tipsy but he still put on a great show. Jane's has been a favorite of mine since I first saw them live in 1988 and met them at my job. I worked at the hotel here in Orlando and they gave me free tickets to the show. Such nice guys.

Yeah hey I've listened to the entire thing. If nobody in the audience knew a single Jane's Addiction song, they would be in the audience saying "What is WRONG with the singer? Can't understand a word he's saying," and " How come the rest of the band are so good???"... I don't think a single note in "Aint No Right" is in tune at ALL. and even LIVE AUTOTUNE wouldn't fix it. But, I love these guys. And thank you for posting this. I've seen Perry live a few times where he's been SPOT ON!! and so energetic!!
His voice is toast now, unfortunately. It can't hit the high notes, which were all sung by a 20-something version of himself. It's normal to lose that high range with age, look at Robert Plant! It's too bad Perry didn't hire a backup he can harmonize with who can hit those highs
Love those Palladium shows in the early 90's tons of benefit shows. Lollapalooza in Irvine Meadows, NIN playing a day show. IceT with Perry Whittie! Lots of Amazing memories. I cherish those day with all my heart.
One of my all time favorite groups. I just missed them in October they had to cancel PITTSBURGH PA supposedly Perry was injured. HOPEFULLY they make it back this summer..I missed them back in the day. You're a lucky guy. ✌✌

By all accounts Troy was quite a last minute replacement so he probably didn't have that much time to rehearse. And he himself has also mentioned that guitar solo's, like the Three Days one, ain't really his strong suit.
Great video. I think it was Irvine Meadows not Pacific Amphitheater for Lollapalooza. We got seats for the 3rd night but the lawn had a mosh pit of its own so I was up there for a few songs.

I bought Nothing's Shocking about 8 times over the years listened to em to DEATH ☠️💥 I have been renovating houses since the 1970s and supply chain consultant now a good 30 years I spent a lot of hard earned money on those bands to at least listen to good music while I earn the Benjamins 💰😎👍🏻

I saw them last Fall on this tour, in CT. Couldn't believe they opened with Kettle Whistle. Great trippy song. THough I will say Perry didn't even attempt to hit ANY high notes. AND they didn't play Then She Did. Which was upsetting. And I missed Dave too.

However, Perry seems to own the band and on numerous occasions, when I've seen them live, has said things like "Welcome and I am so glad you guys are all here to hear MY BAND, Jane's Addiction!" (different variamts) ,, if he wasn't so horridly out of tune, I could almost accept that. Ironically, it wouldn't be Janes Addiction WITHOUT him, would it? He actually sounds a lot better recently than he ever has live.
So I’ve been totally playing their live show in Hammerstein Germany which to me is perhaps the best recorded (sounding) and also performed rock show on utube or whatever (live show). This is a mere fraction of how epic that was. To me, this is unlistenable. I would advise anybody to listen to the show I just mentioned. It’s a Phyllis Killer. This one sucks. I’ll post a link.

A good bassist is always the backbone. The Who had such a second wind once they got Zak Starkey, but as soon as John died they lost the edge.
They sound amazing with Dave and everyone, but Perry's voice took another step back unfortunately. Maybe they should hire a new singer?
