We only know bits of what's going on behind the scenes, but it's clear that himself and the directors have a long-term plan, and they are following that plan, and it's a... process. Like maybe they are working on particular tactics, ways of training, psychology, maybe even statistical analysis, and working on the youth system, scouting and bringing new players in, etc. He is obviously not going to tell us all the details of this plan, so when he says he's following the plan, and to trust the process this is what he means. And I'm guessing that United did not have a plan when he arrived, or for the last 10 years before this, so when he tells us there is now a process in place we should believe it, and be happy.
