Fantastic video! I was wondering if you could make a video on inexpensive anti theft device to keep your car safe? Especially for older Honda's and Nissans.

Great video. The only thing I would recommend is wider washers. After some time especially in rough weather, the screws will try to push through.

from where did you get this? I'm trying to find a mazda 3 front lip (2010 but not mazdaspeed) but can't really find any, or it has to come from us (im from europe) which costs 70$ shipping

@@NeoEletto24 stock to the wheels is roughly 235. Full intake, downpipe, hpfp, and custom tune you'll make upwards of 300whp.

Unfortunately no, it has no brand or part number. The listing I found on eBay was from searching for "Mazdaspeed 3 lip," it came up as the top result. I believe it was around $100. Carefully read the listing, there are 2 different models one that fits a Mazda 3 and the other that fits a Speed 3.

Those "rivetts" in Australia usually have a pin you can push in with a screwdriver and the clip/"rivett" pops right off, not bending or breaking

my polo didn't have holes for screws. so i removed the entire bumper to line it up properly.

How was the lip packaged when shipped? Folded or straight? Thanks for the Speed3 specific stuff...have a '13 myself.
Also, how much ground clearance do you have now? Stock or lowered suspension?
It was straight when packaged so the box was super long. Ground clearance in the front is about 4 inches so it's definitely a struggle to get into driveways without hitting the lip.
@@everythingdiy i know right..im stock height and scrape at times going into slanted drive ways
Hey Ally, wouldn't it be easier to use a drill and bit to drill out those rivets instead of risking scratching your paint job?? That would be my approach to that situation... Great viddy though!!!! Thanks
My guess would be that they would just spin since they are in plastic.

Save yourself alot of effort on the rivets. Just drill the washer off. A drill bit just a little bit bigger than the shaft. It falls out. The i install a rivnut and locktight the bolt so it doesn't back out.

did u paint this prior to insatall or is it factory black plastic? No 3m tape prior to screws?
These come flat black..you can have it painted if you wanted
Also you can try 3m but screws are more secure and tend to hold up forever

I have enjoyed all of your videos going back to the brake job on the Honda. However, this tutorial seemed to have a lot of editing & very little hands on throughout the entire video. Did you have trouble with this project?
No this project was just really straight forward. It took a total of 10 minutes to put this on and a lot of the footage looked exactly the same. For the sake of a shorter video I just cut most of the redundant stuff out.
will this fit on the mazdaspeed 6 because no one makes good looking lip on the ms6 im stuck with the wrx s204 which doesnt fit good at all
Probably not, the Mazdaspeed 6 bumper is quite a bit different than ours.
Not as much as I would like but I do get out from time to time.

Easter way to remove the rivets would be to use the proper size drill bit to drill them out
No it's not. I tried that it didn't work well at all. Breaking the tabs was very easy.
everythingdiy, it's how I've always gotten rivets out, and have never had any problems
All I'm saying is in this instance it's not easier to drill it out. Breaking the top of the rivet was insanely easy and took no time compared to drilling. If it was easier to drill it out I would have said so.
I'm purchasing a Mazdaspeed3. Are there any mods that I should look out for/ be wary of? Stuff that people might have installed incorrectly...that sorta thing.

the lip on that mazda looks awful even an all fit lip would look better
Why are you showing people the wrong way. That's a bolt and nut. You need to use double sided tape to secure that. Not the kind for arts and crafts.
That lip comes with screws and has holes in the lip where the screws go..if it was a 3m style install the product wouldnt have included screws and bolts..smh
