The Plasma Rods measure 0.5" thick. When installing the 8" Plasma Rod, measuring down 2 inches centers the rod between top & bottom of the filler panel.

I purchased these by mistake and installed them to find the turn function is amber which I didn't want any way I can splice it to have just the red flash on turn ? Currently I have rods, tri bar,bag blades, led reflectors, with strobe all works great just need the rods to be red on turn signal if possible? Thanks .
Hi I just ordered dual color as well but my question is do I need a decoder for my 06 street glide? Looks like previous owner hardwired cheap led lights that also work as sequential turn signal I just don’t see any type of relay attached to the harness I would really like to keep the sequential function on these new rods , thank you for your awesome products.
You can certainly install the Dual Color Mega Plasma Rods on a 2017 Road Glide! You will require the Turn Signal Decoder (mentioned in the video) in order to install them. The Turn Signal Decoder can be found here: www.customdynamics.com/turn_signal_decoder.htm
Hey. So I have a 2019 SG. I’m changing my bags to 4.5 x9 stretch bad dad bags. What length would you say. 8 “ or 10”. And do I need anything other then the plasma lights. Thanks
Are you going to a Bad Dad rear fender also? We do recommend mounting the Plasma Rods to the fender so you can remove the saddlebags easily without needing a quick disconnect. 10" or larger will most likely fit you application. If you plan on the Red Plasma Rods, you can add the BCM wire adapter for a complete plug and play installation on the 2019 Street Glide. Here is the link: www.customdynamics.com/red-plasma-rods-with-smoked-lens
@@customdynamics yes fender abs bags. I was thinking the fender. Just wanted to make sure I knew how to put the wires so they don’t get trashed. Any info or where to see that installation would be great. Thanks

I have a 2014 street glide I ordered 12" plasma rods # 2040-1010. What are the part numbers for adapter and run brake turn decoder for single color rods
Hi Pat! Thank you for choosing Custom Dynamics®! For your 2014 Street Glide, you’ll need to use our Dual Converters (PN: 2050-0100) to achieve run, brake and turn signal function from the 12” Red Plasma Rods™. You’ll need to purchase qty 2 - one for each Plasma Rod™. Those can be found, here: www.customdynamics.com/truflex-led-dual-converter?cat=63 You also have the option (not required) to use our 2014-2019 H-D™ Wiring Adapter for Touring Models (PN: 2050-0199) which would provide a more plug and play installation of the 12” Red Plasma Rods™! This wiring adapter is designed plug in to the main stock wiring harness. The included Posi-Tap™ connectors provide easy connections to constant running power, brake only, brake/left turn, brake/right turn, and ground wires. You can find the H-D™ Wiring Adapter for your bike, here: www.customdynamics.com/14-newer-touring-wiring-adapter-for-harley-davidson We’re happy to help answer any questions that you might still have! Feel free to give us a call at 1-800-382-1388 to review these details and/or place an order. Thank you again for choosing Custom Dynamics®, have a wonderful afternoon!
@@customdynamics I put that part number in your website and it pulled up 5 pages of different parts. Would you be able to send me a direct link to the specific part. I'm sorry your full response didn't show up until I reopened TH-cam. I see know all the links you provided. Thank you very much for all your information and help
Thanks for reaching out! Our Plasma Rods™ are available in a universal/hardwired configuration which would work on a12V DC system with a negative ground! The Plasma Rods™ are rigid and are not flexible at all so, you'll want to measure your desired mounting surface to ensure the length you select will work with the completely flat, continuous mounting surface available. If you’d like to give us a call at 1-800-382-1388 we’d be happy to review application details and/or answer any other questions you might have! We look forward to hearing from you soon!
Unfortunately these are not flexible. Call us at 1-800-382-1388 to discuss other flexible LED Light Strip options like our TruFLEX® Professional Grade Flexible LED Lighting Strips! www.customdynamics.com/truflex_flexible_led_lighting.htm
Unfortunately not; the Plasma Rods are rigid and cannot be bent. However, if you'd like to give us a call (1-800-382-1388), we do have other, more flexible, LED lighting options!
Hi Ernest! Installation time will be dependent on the technician and how familiar they are with the products. The installation itself is fairly straightforward though. Typically only the saddlebags and seat need to be removed in order for the Dual Color Plasma Rods™ to be installed to the filler panels and wired to the bike. We can confirm the products you’d need for the installation, based on the year/model of your bike and how you’re wanting the Dual Color Plasma Rods™ to function. We also offer technical support should an installer (or customer) need any assistance. If you'd like to confirm the specific products for your bike/application, please send the year/model to erin@customdynamics.com. Thank you for considering Custom Dynamics, have a great afternoon!
Hi Don! On your 2015 Street Glide Special, the Turn Signal Decoder will be necessary to ensure proper function of the Amber Turn Signal portion of the Dual Color Plasma Rods. It will be required, regardless of whether the Magic Strobes™ Brake Light Flasher module is installed or not. Let us know if you have any other questions!
To install Dual Color Plasma Rods on a '13 FLHX you'll use the MPR-SS6 (www.customdynamics.com/6-pin-wiring-adapter-for-harley-davidson?cat=109). No Turn Signal Decoder is necessary in this application however, we would encourage you to use a SMART Signal Stabilizer (GEN2-SS6; www.customdynamics.com/6-pin-slimline-smart-signal-stabilizer-load-equalizer-for-harley-davidson?cat=59) if the Plasma Rods will be replacing the stock incandescent bulb indicators.
The MPR-SS6 will allow you plug and play installation of the Dual Color Plasma Rods on a '13 FLHX. As long as you keep the stock lighting, the Plasma Rods will blink (Amber) while the stock rear Red turn signals also blink (for turn signal cycle). The MPR-SS6 isn't required but does allow you to wire the Plasma Rods without having to Posi-Tap onto the stock bike wires.
The Dual Color Plasma Rods certainly could work as Red Run/Brake and Amber Turn Signal Lighting on a 2003 Ultra Classic with a rear saddle bag kit added! To discuss details and if other products are necessary in the installation, you can call us at 1-800-382-1388!
As long as your filler panels still have a flat continuous 'lip' to which the Plasma Rods could mount, then they should work! You can call us at 1-800-382-1388 to discuss the installation/application for your bike, specifically!
What do you need to adapt then to a 2022 Kawasaki Vaquero thanks in advance
These Plasma Rods would be a hardwire application. We'd recommend quick connectors like Posi-Taps for installation of the lights.
2 questions, first what is the minimum clearance I need between the bag and fender 2nd why do you measure down 2 inches ?
The Plasma Rods measure 0.5" thick. When installing the 8" Plasma Rod, measuring down 2 inches centers the rod between top & bottom of the filler panel.
