Anyone building this, I recommend gluing down the knee guard once you're ready to finalize the kit. It pops off really easy on the EW Wing Zero and I assume it'll be just as loose on this.

I recently started a small collection of those RG models (I curently have the 00 Raiser, Strike Freedom and Zeta) and I was wondering which one to get next. I was about to go with the Wing Zero EW but I've never been a real fan of the angel wings but you sir have found a buyer for this model great review/presentation of the unit all around.
I have him. I got him from hub hobby. I mainly got him because he’s a transformer. Unfortunately, I’m missing the right foot panel which makes it hard for him to stand.
Honestly, I was hoping for another RG from the gundam wing series, but not this one, was hoping either the wing proto-zero or the epyon, other hopes not from the gundam wing series, gundam Alex, gundam ground type, especially the EZ-8, the pale rider, hyaku shiki, nu gundam, and the Sinanju.
@Aiden Ly the hg sinaju stein is a fantastic kit so far its waaaay easier to clean up the only paint i used was for the chest plate and wrist with it looks ugly right now
Actually the model itself is very structurally sound except for the shoulder pads very bad design all the way around the rest of this kit though is absolutely amazing I absolutely love mine hate the shoulders
@@jamescaulfield6632 mine too.. but, try fully "closed" the joint with the outer shell, bcoz the joint had no adequate lock in it's own, outer shell help it lock more tighter, I'm doing that with mine and it's good, and never let it extend slightly from its outer shell.

Great review as usual. I'm waiting for mine to arrive from HLJ along with my third MG 00 Qan[T] kit. It should be here in the next few days. I'm glad this came. Hopefully this means that Bandai is going to be doing a MG Wing EW 2.0 and MG Wing Zero EW 2.0 soon; even if that means 1 or the other will be a Premium Bandai release. I suspect the Premium Bandai one would be the MG Wing Zero EW 2.0 since more of the film variants have gotten Premium Bandai releases. And I suspect MG Heavyarms Kai EW and MG Sandrock Kai EW will be Premium Bandai releases too like the recent MG Altron EW. It's good to see that this guy can hold the rifle without any problems. The MG we have now failed at doing that so that's another reason why I'd like a 2.0. And then there's also the fact that MG Freedom 2.0 is coming. I mention that because MG Freedom originally came out the same year as MG Wing Ver. Ka which is the mold that the MG Wing EW and MG Wing Zero Custom (aka Wing Gundam Zero EW) are based off of. MG Wing EW is literally just a recolor of the Ver. Ka released with the ENDLESS WALTZ label slapped on the boxart to match the other Wing EW series MGs. *COME ON BANDAI! DO THE MG WING SERIES JUSTICE!!*

As in does the buster rifle hold together in the hand well and does the shield hold in the arm well? What about the overall stability of the figure? Thanks in advance!

I like the design of the rg wing ew, but I really like the way the hg wing's shield can be folded so that the gundam wing can take the beam saber as a hidden weapon. It was really cool, it was a pity that Bandai designed the wing ew shield exactly like in the manga
Don’t know if anyone else had this problem but the blue pieces on the chest didn’t seem to fit that well. Along with the inner frame having a hard time bending at the knees, almost like if u bend too hard the joints will snap. Not to sure if maybe I got unlucky with a kit that doesn’t snap together well. And this is just problems I faced at the start of the build.
The question 1.Why rg hard to build it just small 2.why rg are more details than hg and mg /because the rg just a small kit it just 1/144 scale but the details are the same on perfect grade
1. RG kits are hard to build for most people is because there are a lot of small parts for the color separation and small details. Especially the head part. Overall it is hard to build because it is just like a Perfect Grade but shrunk down to a 1/144 scale. 2. It is designed to be small, yet with as much detail as possible
I rate ghis gunpla 5/10 the redesign is good and the only things i fidnt like is the spine on his arms that can break easily then his soulders keeps popping up

I haven't finished the show yet, but I think this only appears in Gundam Wings's sequel, Gundam Wing: Endless Waltz (what the "EW" stands for), which was a OVA series later compiled into a movie. Not in the show Gundam Wing. Edit: This is the Endless Waltz version of the Wing Gundam, but the Wing Gundam appears in the show (this is a redesign for the sequel EW)
+Dan King While i didn't have this version the RG, the Wing Gundam Zero EW was able to hold the twin busters pretty well so i can imagine this one can easily do it too.
You didn’t show cockpit that pulls out I didn’t use tacky stickers and crappy gundam markers, markers rub off after I touch them I use car model glossy paint gundam and non glossy paint hero
i think bandai is getting a bit lazy here as 80% of the kit is from the same mold of the wing gundam zero ver EW. with different colours, but i assume that's what it is for.

I kinda did a mock up cause it always looks different when i snap it together lol

Maybe because they're BACKWARDS?
Pretty sure it's because it's a crap design they should have thrown away after the MG (Still salty that the MG I bought was a glorified hand grenade)

At least they come with two parts for the eyes, cause i messed it up but you forgot the control unit, you can pull it out a little to see inside of it

i have a problem with mine, the torso doesnt connect properly to the waist and is only half on meaning i can't pick it up with out it falling in half

So I've never built a Gundam but I ordered this one yesterday. Seeing this review I'm thinking that might have been a bad idea to start with this.
yeah man, if this is your first time on model kit world, I suggest a high grade, it's a lot easier to build than real grade
Whats the best way to fix the front of the leg the piece had broken off because I've already put one of the legs together already

I'm curious with the weapon. Does it also experience the weight issue it has with the MG wherein the hand can't balance or hold the weapon properly?
The wrist gets limp while holding the weapon but it's very easy to stiffen up with some blutack or glue.

Ive never owned an RG kit. But is there any big differences when it comes to details and gimmicks of and RG compared to an MG other than scale?
There is.
RG kits have the frame built for the most parts and MG kit you build the frame.
But overall it feels very similar.
More outer detail and decals, less gimmicks in general.

You said that you straight buld these? How do you take care of your nub marks? It looks like they were never there!
I just cut them me file them. I bought a file in the 100 yen shop when I started 4 years ago and it's so worn down that it barely leaves a mark.
