For those who need to know, combining Phase with Rana Seventy-two 72 would mean you will not be able to mix between real vinyl and a Serato track due to the fact that the Phono/CD inputs are combined into one in that mixer and it's needed in order for Phase to work. In the other hand, the S9 does not have this issue since Phono and CD are 2 separate inputs.
ArtWorked I’ve got a 62 which is like the s9 you described, but for those with a 72 would they not be able to use phase in aux in and reserve the cd/phono for wax?

what I did with the magnetic stickers....Because I might want to switch vinyls depending on the gig...I just used cheap clear tape and tapped them on behind the spindle and a little piece on the main part. they dont move at all...just a little cost saving hack.
alecman95 I’m one of the guys that come from a vinyl background but now use serato. For me I have a spare set of 1210s that need head shells and needles so this would be ideal for me. If anyone has any technics that need fixing this could be quite a cost effective way of keeping them running. The other good thing about these if they are as accurate as this video would suggest they kinda transform any shit turntable into something workable. I’ve played at a few places in the past where the turntables were on there last legs and this would solve all the skipping issues due to damaged tone arms.
Do these turntables eliminate the fluttering BPM in the Serato DJ Pro software you get with using analogue Technics turntables & DVS control vinyl? If they do, does it even eliminate the fluttering BPM using a digital file ripped from vinyl? Thanks

very cool but to late I think . with the rane 12' already out there.. is like going back to the sl3 and rca to connect it when you can just use a simple usb cable to connect your 12' . but I guess is cheaper and you can use your fav turntables
El Bacatran La Maldita Maravilla I don’t know man at 300 every turntable can become like a 12 now whilst retaining the ability to play wax if you choose to. Plus even the shitest turntables can become usable now. Broke/used turntables plus phase= cheaper entry point for kids to get into the scene.
So can someone confirm if the audio interface in the mixer is being used? What is the blue cable doing? I want to know if this needs an audio interface as well or if it works without. So can I use this with a fully analogue mixer.
1. Yes, the mixer in this video is still being used to unlock and use Serato DJ Pro. 2. The Blue cable is connecting the Rane mixer to OP!s computer, which is running SDJ Pro. 3. You will need a Serato supported interface or mixer to operate Phase with SDJ Pro. You can use an analouge mixer, but a supported interface will still be required. Send us an email at support@serato.com if you have more questions. Thanks.
Only for charging and accessing phase features. No USB needed to work. It's already plugged into the mixer via RCA cables which sends the wireless signal to each individual phase units. The only USB needed is the one from your laptop to the mixer itself. Hope this helps :-D
DjTecniq it doesn’t has to be connected to your computer while playing but it has to be on power for sure to receive the signal from the units on your records. @crewchief507 @DjTecniq
Species Unknown you mean the sticker lock feature? so that it loads the track always to the sticker position? no unfortunately not. maybe Serato correct me but I think Phase is not sending a „full“ Serato control tone. It sounds like a 1 kHz sinewave to me. Serato tone is way more complex and also sending needle position on the record. I think Phase can’t do this because A it’s not the official control tone sent and B I don’t know how Phase could detect in which the sender sits on the record. so you i think at that stage it’s not possible to make sticker lock work. maybe they can firmware update at a later point and make it work, but I think it’s very very complicated to implement.

How is it with mixing and matching beats?

my joints just stop working all of a sudden, what to do bro?
I got it, I reset it to standard factory and went from there
Help!! JUST got our phase and one of them keeps blinking orange and NOTHING I can do to stop it from blinking??????????????????????????
Would you be able to email us on support@serato.com? We'll look into this with you.
if these things really work then turntablists might develope a new set of scratching skills. Will they call it air scratching?
Danielle king saw DJ Marky do this over the weekend, was crazy i thought i was tripping
very cool but to late I think . with the rane 12' already out there.. is like going back to the sl3 and rca to connect it when you can just use a simple usb cable to connect your 12' . but I guess is cheaper and you can use your fav turntables
Thanks.
I am pretty sure you still need an audio interface. The only thing phase does, is replace the needles on the turntables essentially.
What’s the name of the track
I can see this working for CDJs via the same technology in a miniature format of the receiver on a usb !!!
Does this work with traktor 2 or 3? Thanks
You will need to get in touch with NI support about this question.
support.native-instruments.com/hc/en-us
at this point why are you not just using a dj controller your not using the vinyl's as media any more or am i wrong?
Just got my phase, serato won't stay on cdj mode, I have to toggle to it everytime I open, is there a way to save it?
That's strange. Send us an email to support@serato.com for help. Thanks.
does this works with serato scratch or just serato pro?
Phase is only compatible with Serato DJ Pro
Wait...so the usb cable always has to be plugged into the computer for this to work? Or is that only for charging🤔
ESKEI83 dope! I would plug this into wall outlet or powerstrip just to free up USB ports. Genius!
@@eskei83 Do you know if you can still set your marker stickers? It usually needs to be set up in absolute mode..
ITS FINALLY HERE?
yes!!
do you need DVS plugin for serato dj pro when you use phase ?
Hi there, no you will not need a Serato DVS license with Phase as your mixer should come plug and play for both SDJ and DVS.
noope
Well I guess ordering the ortofon needles are out of the question.. Im sold with phase
What about if you only have a serato box ?
Ryan King really? Shit. Was wondering how that would work with the box.
You can still use an Serato box and Phase - if you are unsure on the setup simply send us a message at support@serato.com. Cheers.
