You can lock ALL dials on the A7RIII but only the Control Wheels on other Alpha cameras.

Hello would like a help please .
I have a Sony camera to 7s . When I shoot with it at 120 fps images cut " crop " I am using sony full frame lenses. I've changed the camera menu and set the Automatic option APSC and full frame . If you can help me thank you. Thank you. sorry about my English
+Camboriú Video The camera cannot shoot in full frame when shooting in 120 fps. You need to switch to an ultra wide angle lens such as the FE1635 if you need to restore your ability to shoot in wide angle.

With the absence of Picture profiles you could 'wind down' the contrast to there lowest setting in the 'creative style' menu

Thanks for the video it’s great. Would you still recommend this camera for 1080p film and photography work? I am limited by budget but I think I could still get useable results with this camera and a decent prime lens. What do you think?
These cameras are now approaching 10 years old and the movie options have come on a long way since 2013. The original A7R does not have Phase Detect Autofocus which means that only Manual Focus is smooth when shooting movies.

I have used these E-Mount cameras since they first appeared and not had a problem with the Custom buttons.

L;36 is the higher resolution's version of the Sony A7, the Sony A7R
I'm having trouble using my new GODOX flash with this camera, it says "this device is not compatible with this device." My firmware is 1.01. Is that the latest version for the a7R?

Is the A7 good to start out with? I plan on doing street photography and just parked sport cars.
Bearing in mind the A7 is a 10 year old camera with slow Phase Detect AF (Continuous AF) then the camera is OK for subjects where fast AF is not required. I personally would be looking for a second-hand A7III if I was on a budget or something from the APS-C range of cameras such as the A6400 which has very fast and reliable AF.
Hello. I need your help, I bought the Sony Alpha a7SII and i'm having a problem with filming. All the vídeos I made have noise and I dont know how I can Fix this. I'm using the 24-240, could this be the problem? Could you suggest me the right configuration to use?

Choose 50 fps for PAL and 60 fps for NTSC - you can move to 60fps by switching using the NTSC/PAL selector in the Toolbox menu. Beware of shooting 60 fps in non-NTSC countries as you may incur flickering lights.
Thank you so much, Mark! When I have XAVC S as file format I can choose between 60, 30 and 24 fps. Do you often switch between these framerates while shooting?

There is a Set File Name option in the Setup menu on the Sony Alpha Cameras I currently own. I can't remember if the the A7 had this option.
can i shoot in 4K with this camera? If yes, how do i trigger the 4K mode?
If i shoot in AVCHD format and use a 4K atomos shogun recorder, is the video gonna be recorded in 4K?

The A7 and A7R cameras shoot 1080p
The A7S shoots 4K to an external recording device.
The A7RII and A7SII shoot 4K to the card.

after i follow your tutorial than i can not set my camera mode to use Iso 50 with video mode it's alway at iso 200 can you explan for me ?
Jimmy Seraph ISO 50 is an artificially low ISO option for capturing stills. There is is no increase in quality when selecting ISO 50. This option is not available for video capture. It is normal to add Neutral Density filters in front of you lens when shooting video in bright ambient conditions so that you can use the slower shutter speeds.

I am a sony a7ii user.. when i click shutter button... The shutter sound comes twice... I mean.. the comes two times.. but inner have a single photo.. what can i do.. ? Please help me
The two sounds are the first curtain shutter and rear curtain shutter. The original A7R does not have an electronic first curtain shutter. Subsequent models have the option to use an electronic first curtain shutter so there is only one shutter sound. The shutter sound was also dampened in the MKII and MKIII models.

Go to the menu and locate the Monitor Brightness menu option.
Great Video!! I just got one recently. Is there any way at all to set a button to turn off the flash ? This is so ridiculously stupid that this custom option is not available in anything but AUTO mode... who shoots Auto SONY??? What a stupid move !! ON all my cameras I could set the flash to NO FLASH in any mode... Hopefully someone knows.. perhaps via APP? TIA
It would be quicker to just turn the flash off on the flash itself rather than to look for an option in the camera menu.
My front dial isn't changing the shutter speed. Why? It's sucked at F--
That;s because you may be in Aperture priority mode. Try changing to Shutter priority mode.
sony a7iii audio input not working plz help me
Check your microphone is working and/or consult Sony technical service.
perhaps you could suggest a solution to this seemingly simple problem - attaching an external mic to shoot movies only records on one channel - either L or R but never both. We have tried this on 4 NEX-7 and 6 a7r cameras. We have tried 6 stereo mics all of which work fine on other A/D equipment and the internal mics on each camera work correctly.

I don't have this problem on my A7S, A7SII, A7RII or A6300. I am using a Rode Microphone or Sony XLR kit.

Use a Raw editing software such as Photoshop or Lightroom

The Adobe Camera Raw plugin shops with Photoshop. If the camera is newer than CS6 you may have to update the ACR plugin.
